Diamond in the rough. This food is delicious and they have some unique offerings on their menu you won’t find elsewhere. Great for brunch and small groups of 4 or less. Not good for large groups.

Great environment to start. The best banana nut bread in town! Lemonade made fresh and the egg and cheese biscuit is amazing

Wow. This place is excellent. For breakfast I tried the egg white skinny sandwich. Although messy, the ingredients were top notch. I also loved the pairing of flavors on this bad boy. I then had the leek and apple soup for lunch. Probably one of the top soups I’ve ever had. Honestly I’d eat here everyday if I worked close by. I wanted to try everything. In fact i had to grab a chocolate chip cookie on my way out for the wifey. They looked so good and tasted even better.

Absolutely delicious. I never went in before because it was in a weird location but once I finally did, I loved it. The iced teas are amazing and my personal favorite is the cheddar biscuit with eggs. Lovely staff too

I love the cookies here and usually the donuts on the weekends. It is the only place where I can get real English porridge– oatmeal can’t hold a candle! Their food is vibrant and fresh, especially for breakfast. The only downside is the space is too small for all of the people that love it! Hopefully they will be able to expand soon, but still not loose the small establishment feeling.

I heard great things about this café but found the model confusing. There are items on a cold bar that were labeled $ 11/pound, until I asked an employee who said each item was actually individually priced. Then, upon looking more closely, the items on their cold bar are exorbitantly priced($ 5 for a two inch piece of crostini with a small piece of smoked salmon and egg; $ 2 for half of a small blood orange). The pricing seemed out of whack: $ 5 for crostini, but also $ 5 for a mini quiche that was much more substantial. You would do better to buy from the menu which is reasonably priced entrees, like chilaquiles priced at $ 8. The chocolate chip cookie was very good, but I was underwhelmed by the cheddar scone.

Were in town visiting my folks and came here with my mom at 12:40 on a weekend for an impromptu lunch. Had actually been hoping to have breakfast but were disappointed to see that they only serve their breakfast dishes until 11am(though I get why). We opted for several sandwiches(butternut squash sandwich was delightful; tuna was AMAZING; the Welsh Rarebit was a bit much for our taste and would take some getting used to, but even then it was very good quality) and a butternut squash soup, which was fantastic. The coffee was great. The teas were great. The place wasn’t too crowded, the staff were nice, and could see some people hanging around with their laptops doing work. If we lived in town, I could easily see this becoming our go-to spot. A little on the pricey side, but at least it was worth what you were paying for. Left feeling completely satisfied. Would highly recommend!

The staff have now officially ruined this place. I don’t know what is up with the constant snarky attitudes, except that I’m over them. I’ve let it go a few times, but no more & here’s why… I NEVERMAKESPECIALREQUESTS. I GETFOODTOGO. I’M NOT A JERKTOSTAFF(don’t come in at closing, ask for complicated drinks, etc) I ALWAYSALWAYSALWAYSTIP. Subway tiles and quinoa salads don’t make up for bitchy and incompetent staff. (Examples: dill and fennel are the same, no they aren’t. Organic yogurt is vegan, seriously WTF? Corner Pantry staff was actually trying to tell me that.) Prices have gotten WAY out of control since they opened. Almost 20 dollars for a salad, and 6 dollars for half cup of fruit, in a plastic container? I can have an amazing lunch at Petit Louis for that much. I hate leaving a bad review b/c the food really is good, its just not good enough to get treated like dirt and get price gouged on your lunch break. Also, the Baker girl, does she ever wear real pants? Her granny panties aren’t cute, its beyond unprofessional, and really it’s just gross.

The Corner Pantry has become my new«spot.» You know, the place that you recommend to all of your friends, regardless whether or not they’re looking for a new favorite breakfast/brunch joint. The homemade poptarts are to die for. Their donuts are incredible, though keep an eye on their Instagram because if the day’s batch doesn’t come out perfectly then they won’t sell them(A+ for quality control!). Everything I’ve had has been delicious and the staff is always friendly and attentive. The décor is simple and spare yet comfortable for a leisurely breakfast. I have yet to try their take-out dinners but that’s next on my list! For now, those nutella poptarts are enough to haunt my dreams…

The worst part about any vacation is that moment, weeks after it’s ended, when you remember how awesome it was, and simultaneously realize that you’re thinking of it in the past tense — that it’s gone and won’t return anytime soon. We had the trip of a lifetime in the UK early in the summer, and about a month after returning we started to crave things like sausage rolls, crumpets, chutney and hot tea without a fuss or even a raised eyebrow(everyone drinks it there, so no one resents having to fix it for you the way they do on this side of the pond.) So, in the midst of one of those fits of nostalgia, on a whim I typed in «British» to Unilocal’s magical search engine, blinked, rubbed my eyes, and before I was halfway through the menu I was grabbing my husband by the collar and hightailing it to Falls Road. Upon arriving, we were pleasantly surprised by the ease with which we were able to find a parking spot, then a table, then about a dozen lovely options for late-morning brunch. Ordering at the counter is fine by me – it lowers the cost of the meal in the end, even though I usually contribute to the tip jar on my way out anyway — and in this case it was perfect, because it gave us a chance to scope out the cold bar. What a delightful concept: reasonable portions of fruit, cheese and other delectables, with the ability to visually examine them before you purchase. We shared a bruleed grapefruit half, which was fantastic, along with huge mugs of tea — British Breakfast for me and a delicious tea latte for him that came with two teabags and probably a pint of steamed milk. Oh my goodness, it was delightfully fragrant. We moved onto entrees: I had the Fat Egg Sandwich(because, come on, anything with«Fat» in the name is going to be awesome!) and my husband got the Chicken & Waffles, which is admittedly not very British but I have never known him to turn down that dish. Both were delicious, hot and crispy and perfectly seasoned. We lapsed into silence as we sipped tea between bites and, in our minds, were transported back to the gray drizzle of the United Kingdom where such wonders are commonplace. On our way out, of course, we stocked up: sausage rolls, biscuits, even a maple-glazed donut because we just couldn’t resist. Everything was delicious, even a couple of days when we finally made it to the bottom of the bag! We couldn’t wait to return, and in fact I find it hard to believe we haven’t yet, several months later. Time to fix that ASAP, especially since we had nothing but friendly and prompt service from the fine people there. Cheers and see you soon!

Brit food done well and very friendly atmosphere. We had scrambled with English bacon, which comes with wonderful homemade bread. We are not bread eaters but their baked goods look delish and lots of folks came in to get them. Our son goes to college at Loyola so always looking for places to try when we come to visit. Well done, Mates!

Imagine a place where you can go for an amazing breakfast where the coffee isn’t a let down. Or an amazingly quick lunch spot that doesn’t cut corners. Or a bakery where the pastries are not only delicious but are also made in house. Congratulations Baltimore, we no longer need to just imagine this. The Corner Pantry on falls road checks all of these boxes and more. I have eaten at some of the best cafes and brunch spots in the area and there is quite literally nothing they offer that this place continues to do better. Practically everything on the menu is locally sourced or made in house. You can not go wrong ordering things from the menu or pastry case. I definitely suggest some of the traditionally British offerings for the change of pace. Whether you are looking for something light or a big weekend brunch this place is a must try.

Went here for breakfast with the hubby on a Thursday morning. Not too crowded. Nice atmosphere. I had the egg and cheese with bacon on a biscuit and a soy vanilla latte. Coffee was delicious! Biscuit was a little heavy to eat as a sandwich so I just took each component apart and enjoyed individually. My husband had the waffles and a side of sausage. His take: «I liked the sausage. And I liked the waffles. Sausage was not dry.» OK, so there you go o0! We will be back sometime and definitely recommend.

Love the food. The coronation chicken sandwich is incredible and the soups are also quite delicious. The chocolate chip cookie is worth the hype in the other reviews — it’s dangerously goods. We tried one specially donut though, and it was pricey and underwhelming. Here’s my issue with the Corner Pantry, and the reason we regularly hit the Starbucks instead: the service is beyond indifferent. My family has been here 4 – 5 times over the last year(we live close by) and on almost every occasion we’ve had a bad experience the people working at the counter. Another reviewer described the service as «cool,» and that’s fair. I’ve also seen some rudeness, and twice(out of only five visits!) have ordered a coffee, waited 15 minutes and then had it be forgotten. So basically we’ll sometimes get takeout from here or maybe a catering platter, but if you’re looking for a nice café to enjoy lunch with a friend or a pleasant alternative to Starbucks, keep looking…

Pretty cool. I had the chicken waffle BLT. Waffle was perfectly cooked and the chicken was delicious. My waffle had small pieces of the waffle iron on it which wasn’t a big deal at all but when I told the server/cashier you may want to watch out for it, all she said was«got it». Not the best customer service but place was clean, food was tasty enough and convenient location with parking. Parking always a plus! Friendly staff. Will return and I would recommend,

I had lunch here today, and it was just ok. I think maybe I’d come back for a pastry and a coffee or to try their cold bar, which looked pretty good. I had one of the daily specials — a house cured salmon sandwich, and it was just okay. The salmon portion was generous, and the sprouts were fresh and crunchy, but nothing about the sandwich was particularly great or worth the $ 9. The chips(crisps, ha) it came with were great, though, crisp and lightly seasoned with salt and vinegar. It’s a cute place and there’s plenty of parking, and I did want to love it. I might give it another shot in the future since it’s close to home and like I said, I have a soft spot for pastries and they’ve got a nice selection. Service was a bit cool. Perhaps I should put my hipster pants on next time.

This is a really cute little breakfast and pastry café with a British theme. We had a crumpet and the skinny egg sandwich, which were both great. The sandwich is perfectly toasted and has egg white, spinach, and avocado. We also had a lemon-cream donut with strawberry glaze. The glaze was too sparse and not sweet enough, and it was too pricey($ 3.50). I think they only make donuts on Saturday, and they are different each week. Parking is very convenient; there’s a free lot both in front of and behind the store.

My only complaint about this spot is that this place is a 15 – 20 minute drive from my house, because if it was closer I’d be there everyday! I went for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and it was relatively empty but I could see how this place would be packed from open-close any day of the week if it was located in the city. Maybe it being a little out of the way is actually a positive. For lunch I had the Chicken & Waffle BLT and a caramel latte. The chicken was perfectly roasted on the sandwich and the waffle had a perfect crunch to it but still mostly soft on the inside. I can’t wait to go back and try out the breakfast menu and some of the house made baked goods!

The Corner Pantry is a new addition to the Mount Washington /Falls Road area of Baltimore. It went in where one of my favorites, Banksy’s Café closed. A friend and I were headed up to Towson to meet some friends so we decided to cross another place off of my to-do list and visit The Corner Pantry which I’ve read rave reviews about. When we walked inside, we were met with trendy and inviting décor, but it was a beautiful day so we decided to eat outside after ordering from the counter. A few weeks prior, I had visited Shoo Fly Diner and loved their biscuit and jam so I decided to order that here. Unfortunately they were already sold out of biscuits for the day(they’re all made on the premises) so the girl at the counter suggested a crumpet. The crumpet was light and buttery, and tasted delicious with the jam. Unfortunately I cannot remember what flavor it was. I also ordered the Skinny Egg Sandwich and this was delicious. The sandwich came with scrambled whites, avocado, feta, spinach and caramelized onion on ciabatta. This was a great breakfast sandwich and I really enjoyed the fresh bread that it came on. My friend ordered the Corner Pantry Mac & Cheese. She loved the flavor and the crunch from the breadcrumbs, but wished that the noodles were smaller like they usually are in a mac and cheese. But the cheesy flavor of this dish was on point. To finish up our meal, my friend and I decided to split a chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was good, but nothing was particularly special about it. I really enjoyed my visit to The Corner Pantry and I can’t wait to go back and try some more of their delicious looking and sounding options.
