U-Haul Moving & Storage at Pulaski Hwy

Outstanding! I pulled in to pick up my 8 foot open trailer — -counter time — - about 30 seconds – Wow! Went out to lot and lot man directed me to hook up – total time — –less than 60 seconds – WOW! Unfortunately there was a problem with my electrical system so I could not get the trailer lights to work – 2 different trailers. Manager came from behind counter and checked all of my fuses and alternate connections – customer service –no customer service today does not get this good. This is what we refer to as above and beyond. l worked high voltage maintenance for over 38 years, so I know how important it is for all safety equipment to be functional when you hit the road so her decision to refuse the rental on safety made me proud that there are still people like her in the business. I can take my Jeep back to the dealer and get the tow package repaired but if someone lost their life because of a safety violation there is no excuse. This will be my permanent rental location! Good job guys.

Storage unit was broken into. All of our valuables were taken. Trucks are conveniently in the way of the security cameras.
Would not recommend!!!

Don’t buy hitches /​recievers… missing parts

Like the other reviews, I’ve also had recent terrible experience with another Uhaul location (Falls Road), and was very hesitant to use them again. I used this Pulaski Highway location about 6 times over the last 2 months with a great experience each time. Trucks were clean and warmed up, staff was pleasant, and they even carried boxes I purchased out to the truck for me. Will definitely be using this location exclusively when I need to rent a truck in the future.

I’ve lived in 6 different places around DC and Baltimore since 2004. So I’ve moved all my stuff around a bit and I’ve helped friends move as well. I’ve had some terrible experiences with U-​haul, each time vowing never to use them again (in fact my previous two moves I used Budget) but I decided to give them another try. With U-​haul it all depends on the location and this particular location has it all together. I was able to pick up the truck I ordered online in less than 15 minutes which has to be some kind of record. The truck was adequate, and return was simple and easy, plus the rates at U-​haul are great. I don’t know if U-​haul in general has made systems improvements over the years or if this particular location is just very well organized, but I walked away very happy, feeling like I had walked out of the Apple store of moving companies. Thanks U-​haul for making my latest move as smooth as possible.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that there are some U-​Haul locations that aren’t awful. In the past my friends and I have had nothing but bad experiences with this company, but they are the cheapest place to rent a truck so I decided to give them one more shot. I initially made the mistake of reserving a truck through their website, but when I called this location to make a reservation directly everything went fine. The truck was there when I was scheduled to pick it up, the staff were reasonably friendly and competent and the equipment was in decent condition. There were some minor screw-​ups with billing after I returned the truck, but all in all I got pretty decent value for my money.
