What a great day out on the water. Weather was nice, breeze was just right. Natty Boh was on flow and crabs were thrown on long brown papered tables with reckless abandon. I love it when you can sit at a table and enjoy the company of those around you and every now and then somebody comes by and just dumps out more crabs for you. Thank you! Mnom nom nom. These were the largest crabs I’ve had this year and were prepared just the way I like ‘em(by somebody else). Crab mac & cheese was amazing. Fried oysters were bursting in mouth with goodness and the calamari was just right. We were there for a good 5 hours and throughout the entire day the service was outstanding. Dozens of Unilocalers running around hither and thither while the Nicks staff kept tabs on us and really smoothed out an otherwise chaotic bill at the end of the day. Thanks to all who made this a great day on the bay.

Awesome time on the water enjoying tasty crabs, coconut shrimp, mussels and cold boh. I had a chance to meet some Unilocalers for the first time and it was a good time to be had by all. The setting was nice, the staff attentive and the weather was perfect for finger licking crab picking good times! Nicks did a great job of making our occasion one for the books. Two thumbs up for Nicks Fish house crab feast!

*Sits down in the Unilocal interrogation room* So here’s MY side of the story: –Yelp was three tables deep, son. –I finally got to meet Elsa M. –I got to catch up with some phenomenal Unilocalers. –I re-lived the Marylander in me by eating some good crabs. –I made the mistake of wearing jeans. –I ate some excellent ice cream. No, wait, that quite didn’t happen. Whoops… In Conclusion: I had fun, ate crabs, and I got to meet some new Unilocalers. I rest my case.

Fabulous time at Nicks! For my first crab feast, it was definitely an experience. I washed my hands about 80 times, but there still Old Bay remnants under my nails, so I think that is a sign of a good time. Situated right on the water, Nick’s provides a quintessential slice of Baltimore’s foodie culture. The steamed crabs are flavorful and ready to be torn apart by over-eager eaters like me and the group I was with! I tried the clam dip as well and it was out of this world good and über creamy! The bread it came with was firm, but not too hard(like often happens). I also got a drink — something with Dragon or Lizard in the title. I forget. Anyway, it was actually very refreshing(despite the fact I was drinking a hard drink in the sun) and complimented the crabs perfectly. The waitstaff was extremely friendly and PROMPT with service, especially seeing that our group was 30 or so deep. It’s easy to get overwhelmed with large group and multiple tabs, but they were not, which we all appreciated greatly. All in all, it was a great time with great friends! I would definitely come back with a group again.

Here’s the score: Crabs. Beer. Unilocalers. Beer. Magic birthday beads? More crabs. And more beer!!! Natty Boh beer, that is. *wink* Topped off with sunny skies and balmy breezes blowing off the Middle Branch waters of Baltimore’s harbor onto the jutting pier of Nick’s Fish House. This was the«Calling All Cancers! Crab Feast at Nick’s» UYE à la the mind of Jamie S coupled with the wonderful wizardry of Mama Sista Noralyn T. A crustaceous fest of Baltimore’s Best all savoring the bounty of the bay while I enjoyed the upbeat mood of our Unilocalie brood. This old Baltimore boy’s had bigger crabs during his many moons on planet earth, but their seasoning was surprisingly lush & liberal as I love. Served fairly fast & feverishly with a smile. Unilocalie hijinks were brought to bear as Unilocalie birthdays of 21 June — 23 July were honored. Fun in the sun and then some. Happy birthday, fellow Cancerians. And thanks, Unilocal bruddahs & sistas, for the crabbie camaraderie. I had a marvelous time. I who always adore the excellent company of raucous, rowdy Unilocalie rioteers. I who devoured many crabs. I who loved my beer. Natty Boh beer, that is. *wink* This is how we do in Unilocal Baltimore: Crabbie wishes and Natty Boh dreams. Local flavor? Sho yoo right.
