Expensively priced but the food does not live up to it. I ordered the soft shell crab with mac & cheese and collards. The entire meal was bland. The Mac and cheese tasted like it was from a box and the collards had no taste. I’d advise to stick to carry out type dishes when dining here. Don’t venture to other dishes.

The food at Valentino’s is always good. I’ve had breakfast, spaghetti, subs, seafood — you name it, I’ve tried it. The service is pretty solid and often times there is a manager floating around asking if you need anything. At my most recent visit however I was really turned off. I was in a party of 2 and the waitress automatically added gratuity to our check. If I hadn’t really looked at the check I wouldn’t have even noticed it. Then, when she ran our card and came back with the signature slip, there was a line for gratuity and no indication that a ‘tip’ had already been added to the bill. I personally think this should be illegal, to add a tip without someone knowing in advance and then present a signature slip that does not identify how much tip has already been paid/charged. I would recommend the place overall but make sure to check your bill.

I enjoy coming into Baltimore to stop here — the menu is endless from breakfast(my favorite) to dinner — there’s something on the menu for everyone… It’s a landmark on Northern Pkwy so if you reside in Baltimore it’s known partly as an after hour spot were you can get great food after club hours — the staff is friendly — management is always in the bldg — security is in the bldg on the weekends — the food is awesome — portions are great as well…

Love it! The waiter knows exactly what I want! Everyone is warm and welcoming and if I don’t go for a while the next time they see me they allows try and catch up! Great place for us college students who study late nights and work late nights! Very dependable and food is always amazing

I had got a milkshake from here once. I don’t know if the ice cream was old or what. I drank the milkshake but by the time I got home I had broke out into a sweat my stomach was rupturing. Yep that’s right I had explosive diarrhea from that shake. I would stay away from the desserts if I were you

It was very underwhelming. Meats were overcooked and too dry. More sauce kind of helps

The Day before Valentine’s Day visit… Pros: The food that I had was quite good. Had the Captain’s Cajun Caesar. Really tasty and a solid portion. The coffee was a little sketchy. The first cup was decent but warm. Second cup was hot but a little burnt. The Cream of Crab soup was really good. Took some rice pudding home and it was good as well. Cons: there was an enormous rat that ran through the parking lot to the rear of the restaurant. The menu is incorrect. The Captain’s Cajun is priced $ 17.99 but rang up at $ 21.99. They matched the menu price but it is, apparently, incorrect. Not a horrible experience, by any means, but not a restaurant I’d make an effort to visit.

I Always LOVE their food, but their customer service is the PITTS! If I order extra, charge me extra! Don’t just leave it off my food and when I get home, «SURPRISE». I call back and you say, «you weren’t charged». HELLO, IT’S NOTABOUTTHEMONEY, but my preference

Valentino’s has been around since my college days & way before from what I can tell. Everyone loved it there. It was a great diner. What they are trying to do is make it a fancy restaurant w/solid entrees… but the fact of the matter is, it’s a diner. A very nice diner but a diner, nonetheless. As expected, this place is Awesome for a crabcake or any actual ‘entrée’ type meal. However, I was on this side of town and decided I’d grab a sandwich. I was craving a good cold cut sammy and assumed they would make a great cold cut sammy. I mean an Italian eatery should know how to do a cold cut some justice, right!!! You know, like a ‘Dagwood Bumstead’ Club sammy. Aaahhh well. Lesson learned… **womp womp** Let’s start with the pluses… My server, Luis, was as usual, above & beyond perfection. I have been blessed with always getting him every time I go to Valentino’s. He’s a consummate professional and always ‘chit chats’ just enough to make you feel welcome. He is one of the best things Valentino’s has to offer. Let’s see… What else? The ice was fantastic. Cold, clear, wet. Well played, Valentino’s. Can u sense my sarcasm yet? Next, The Minute Maid(pre-packaged) Lemonade was just as I expected. Faint yellow, watered down, just like it is in the carton. No wins. No losses. French Fries — These, I think we’re actually the star of the show. They were fried w/a crispy coating and had an incredibly warm, flaky interior. The PERFECT fry. I only had about 7, though. Why, u ask? Because I mistakenly took a bite of what might considered the flavor equivalent of going out, hopping in a dune buggy, driving hours to get there, and actually licking the Mojave Desert floor(pick a sand dune. ANY sand dune. I bet it had more flavor). I digress… And now, the biggest ‘con’ of all. This club was quite possibly the driest club sandwich I have ever had the misfortune of having placed in front of me. They even have the nerve to name this the ‘Valentino Club’ sandwich. What I can say with utmost certainty is that Rudolph Valentino(the theme of this eatery), whose movie posters are all over the dining room walls, looked at my sammy when it came out and I could swear, I heard the posters whispering, «PSSSSST Hey, I’m sorry…». Olé boy is certainly rolling over in his grave tonight. ‘DAYUM, Darren. Why are you being so rough’, you may ask…? Allow me to break this overpriced dehydrator down… Roast beef — grey. That’s right. Not ‘great’ but GREY(like in a Crayola Crayon 64-pack) Turkey — dry w/that gelatinous slime that is on the edges when u buy pre-packaged turkey breast meat(yuck) Ham — decent. That is all. Lettuce — minimal. At least if there was a decent amount of lettuce, the crisp wetness could counter-balance the dryness of the sammy. But nope. They may have used an entire leaf from the head of lettuce for that sandwich but… I doubt it. Mayonnaise — a hint, a whiff, a wish of mayo… But certainly no slather. Certainly no flavor. Bacon — what bacon? I think the cook may have rubbed the bread on some cooked bacon(from another customer’s dish) for flavor. Hmmm — now that I think about it, I DID see actual bacon on there but for a 5-layer sandwich, I’m thinking more than ONE strip of bacon is needed(for the flavor & grease factor ALONE). Maybe I’m asking for too much but DAYUM, at least THATONESTRIP could have been a whole strip!!! They completely missed the mark with this sandwich. Soooo, $ 13 later(for the club, alone)… NEVERAGAIN

Every time I come here I am never disappointed with the food. Everything is always hot, fresh, and delicious. I have tried the crab and shrimp Alfredo… it is wonderful, buffalo wings great, and buffalo chicken bites awesome. It may look a little intimidating from the outside but once you come in-the food is always above average. I always go at night.

So, I stopped here because I was in the area. I was already disappointed and I thought that stopping here would make me feel better. I went in and I was politely greeted. I decided to get the salad trio with shrimp salad. crab cake and grilled chicken. Well the disappointment came when I returned home. Now I don’t live close to this place. I just knew I was in for a good treat. Well, when I opened up the bag and took my salad out I opened up the container and was in disbelief. This was a first for me coming from this business. I have to let you know that I thought my crab cake was a mini darn pancake. I just could not believe it. I am unsure if they were running low or what. On top of that it just was not as good as I am so use to it being. Unsure if I want to return and give another chance.

I love the calamari here. The legs are the best. And the oyster stew. The menu is extensive and my favorite waiter is Edward. He always delivers exceptional service. Try the tropical passion with actual banana! Amazing! Strong and delicious! I’ve been coming here for 2 years and love it.

I’ve never had a bad experience here. When I come it’s usually for breakfast. They’ve got a good selection of things on the menu. The prices are comparable with other diners on the area. This is the only diner I know that uses cloth napkins… just my little observation.

I’ve only been here a few times but I always seem to stop in when I’m in the neighborhood. The fried chicken here is awesome, super crispy and juicy. The service is kind and attentive. My kids love the desserts and it’s become a tradition even when we are stuffed to the gills to have one of their many sweets before we leave.

As someone who considers Italian food to be comfort food, this is a go to spot for Sunday dinner entrees like chicken parmigiana, lasagna and manicotti. The interior has been nicely renovated in recent years. Give a little extra time to find parking.

Daiquiris are small, with whipped cream taking up a lot of volume in the glass. Cheesecake seemed to have been assembled upside down, with the graham cracker crust sandwiched between the cheesecake and the cherry topping. My gripe with this is that I didn’t like the crumb’s grainy texture mixed with the cherry topping, which is itself fairly smooth and I’m used to pairing with creamy cheesecake instead. Crab dip was just okay, more dip than crab. The main appeal of this place for us, I think, is the hours. They have wifi, but according to the waitress, it’s not always reliable.

This place gets a bad rap but I will honestly say The last two times I’ve been I had exceptional service and great food. Once was a special occasions a late Sunday night. Most places are closed when we get off work and this was the perfect after hours spot. A bottle of wine and yummy apps. And again great service Second time was NYE of all times. We were running late for our already made dinner reservations at Maggie’s farm and didn’t make it in time. We decided on Valentinos, we ate, drank and enjoyed our time We left by 11:15 but had exceptional service and food. Thanks Valentinos for always being there when we needed you. …

I recently moved to this side of Baltimore, and Valentinos is just up the street. I am so glad I found this place! First of all, the staff is fantastic. So friendly! And then the food. OMG the food. So far, every thing I’ve ordered there has been fantastic. Tonight, I got a crab cake. GET A CRABCAKE, Y’ALL. So crabby and wonderful. Also, the breadsticks with the marinara sauce they serve? So effin good. Love this place!

This place can be sketchy at night time on occasion but I’ve never had a problem. They serve wonderful food! I absolutely have to order cream of crab soup every single time that I go. Yummmmm. This place is a gem. P. s. They have a small parking lot behind the place
