Glen seems so pleasant in his comments on here, but here’s just a sample of what the real Glen just wrote me in a series threatening private messages, «You are a low life liar! c u soon!». And, «I’m a pissed off man and If I see you there will be a reckoning coward.»
He also had the nerve to tell me: «You’ll be happy to know when your post came out the 67 year old lady we were working for suddenly became extremely stressed, it affected her health and she became ill. And thats no lie! You should be ashamed of yourself!»
How ridiculous is that? So I’m not supposed to review businesses honestly for others to read because it might cause an elderly person to come down with a health condition from it??? This is the kind of crazy you’re dealing with if you hire this clown.
He most recently sent this: «I’m glad you took the bait chump now my attorney can file suite. told you I’ll see you soon. in court sucker.»
Sounds like a great guy that you should definitely hire, if you like threats of being taken to court, threats of violence, and accusations of physically hurting an elderly person, all because of writing honest reviews about him and his (so-​called) business.
And I’m a coward, huh? Who’s the coward that can’t post how he really feels publicly, and instead sends private messages? Read his public replies here. He sounds so nice. I’d be glad to forward his private messages to anyone who asks, or I can take screenshots of them so you can see they are from him.
He feels the need to resort to scare/​threaten/​bully tactics in attempts to suppress honest, negative reviews. I can’t believe someone would go so far as to threaten with violence over a Unilocal review… especially someone who claims to be such a devout Christian! Glen is a faker who uses God to make people feel at ease with him; a wolf in sheep’s clothing. This guy doesn’t deserve anyone’s business and if you decide to give him yours, please do so at your own risk. I have installed HD surveillance cameras all over my new property and purchased many firearms (partly) because of Glen, his «workers» and they’re aggressive and threatening nature. I have already notified local law enforcement of him and know my rights, and will defend my homestead from him and all aggressors who wish to harm me or my family.
Keep sending ridiculous and threatening messages Glen, and I’ll keep posting them here for people to read about what a great guy you are. You’re bullying and threats may work with other people, but NOT with me. Everyone needs to know who they’re really dealing with when you show up to their house. :) Blessings!

I am a long time Riverside resident who has lived in the same house, built in 1908, since the 1960’s. After 100 years of hit and miss attention and essential updates, my home was in need of some serious repair and restoration. In 2008 I embarked on a search for the right company to do the job. I found that company, as many neighbors had, in Riverside Restorative, owned by Glen.
I was disgusted and appalled to read the one star review about Riverside Restorative and the rumor based ad hominem attack on Glen. Glen and his crew have always been professional in their work ethic and respectful in language and demeanor to me, my family and visitors. I am happy to write this review on behalf of Glen and his employees.
Having used other repairmen and contractors in the past and based on current research, I found Glen’s labor pricing and material expenses to be fair and equitable. When required, he searches for the correct materials from architectural salvage companies so the parts match. He knows and loves the history and architecture of these historic houses, and I consider him to be an authoritative voice.
Glen is a true craftsman in every sense of the word. He does things properly, so doesn’t cut corners, and puts his heart into every project. He can do top to bottom restoration and has done so on my house. He has replaced plaster, repointed the brick foundation, repaired damaged floors and windowsills, restored and replicated where necessary original metal weatherstripping. He literally jacked the house up to help level it so windows and doors closed properly. Glen built the perfect wall hung medicine cabinet using crown molding trim original to the house. He restored the dry rot and termite ravaged rafter tails that define this Craftsman house. My back deck that was designed to match the front of my house is featured on Glen’s brochure.
Remodeling the upstairs shower became an archeological dig of sorts, since there were four layers of previous «showers» to remove before creating a functional, beautiful facility. The last layer was reminiscent of WW I aircraft material.
After several years of continuous restoration, I took a breather, but I’m almost ready to jump in again and call Glen to take up the hammer once more for this old house.

Well let me just say upfront, if I had a Delorean I would want Glenn to restore it. Glenn did an exceptional job completing the final phases of our mid century modern house in Palm Springs. Framing the front entry, stucco work, tongue and groove ceiling, custom cabinetry etc .We were very happy with his work and felt his prices were very reasonable. We also had the pleasure of meeting his son Jason, who works alongside his father, they both take great pride in getting the job done right the first time. Pleasing their client is their first priority, a very trustworthy company, I would hire them again in a minute.
You cannot go wrong with Riverside Restorative.

My house is a local historic landmark built in 1906. I have slowly been restoring it to it’s former glory for more than 10 years. Early on in the restoration, I was hiring contractors for jobs and finding that not many of them care about restoration. Most contractors want to finish the job as fast as possible and move on. I live in a historic neighborhood, and started noticing that many of my neighbors were using Riverside Restorative. After calling several references, and meeting with the owner, Glen Baker, I gave him his first job — reproducing old windows. He did such a fabulous job, with such dedication to making them authentic, I hired him for the next job, fixing lath and plaster. Then he re-​did my original hardwood floors. He has been the only contractor I’ve used since, and he has tiled my bathroom, refinished my dining room (you would never know that 10 wall panels are reproductions, along with the plate rail), and a variety of other jobs. He really cares about old houses, and is fair in what he charges considering the hours it takes to restore an old house properly.
