we have been coming here annually for many years before we drive back to the land of lincoln… two items is a must to have each time(blueberry cheddar and zuber’s swiss labdjaegers)…this year, the cheese and sausage area seemed to have gotten smaller and the long shelf life items and souvenirs got bigger… they had limited varieties of cheese this time(maybe my timing was just bad)…but regardless, the quality and flavor of the cheeses remains a top notch… don’t forget to rub jerry’s giant ears by the main entrance for good luck!(extra luck if your name is tom)

When I first walked in I was pretty skeptical considering there are gimmicky toys and souvenirs EVERYWHERE. However, once I got through that stuff I was met with lots and lots of cheeses, a knowledgeable and helpful staff, and all the taste testing my dad could ever want. The woman on staff was great helping us pick a cheese that would survive our road trip(the sharp cheddar is aged, so it’s in wax). Thanks!

Pretty great little place. We stopped in for the first time on our recent visit to the Dells. My kids had a fantastic time sampling different cheeses. We tried cheese fudge(or fudge cheese) for the first time and WOW … amazing! Selection of gifts, candies, gourmet foods, etc. Fun place and everyone was very nice. We’ll be back!

We waited to pick up cheese until we got closer to our hotel. Too bad the service stunk! I had at least $ 50 worth of product in my hand before I was met with the snotty response of, «we can’t take any credit cards, our machine is broken.» Really? You can’t alert people to the issue before hand? I asked if they were going to put all the stuff back and she snottily rolled her eyes and says, «I guess we can» Customer service stinks. A bunch of young girls standing around not really interested in helping out. I would have bought a lot more and brought the rest of our party back to the shop, but not with the service and put off attitude permeating through the place. I went across the way to the Travel mart found the same cheese and way better customer service. They do have a nice variety of cheese and meat, candies, etc, but I will find another place that actually appreciates the business. Ridiculous…

I love this shop. Huge selection of cheese, sausage, and hot sauce. They do offer samples, which is wonderful. We left with a small feast. Everyone here is super nice, including the customers! Last time we were here, we had our ear chatted off by someone looking at the hot sauce with us haha. It is a great place to stop on vacation. Bring your wallet, because unless you have really good self control, there’s no way you’re leaving empty handed. Too much deliciousness. It’s all so tempting. I wanted to buy, and eat, everything.

Market Cheese Square is my go-to cheese place when I am in WI Dells. They have a good selection of cheese and sausages and other local products. Usually several varieties of cheese curds(aka squaky cheese), blue cheese and smoked string cheese. Samples are almost always available. Prices are fair, staff is helpful.

When you ask a reasonable question about why a customer should be able to purchase a small amount of cheese but was not allowed you would think a reasonable answer would be given. Instead we were told they would not sell us the products we brought to the register and told to leave the store. How rude can you be??? Maybe it was a time of the month thing for the person. So they lost a sell and hopefully more from this review.

This place is great! They have a huge selection of cheeses! I stopped here to pick up a bunch of cheeses for my upcoming wine and cheese party. You’re able to sample any cheese you want. :) — SPECTACULAR! They also have many fun souvenirs and gifts. The jerky is delicious! This place is definitely worth stopping at!

The cheesiest cheese shop just got cheesier. We have been coming here for years, and as we pulled in today and walked through the door we found out… They have EXPANDED! They have added floor space and opened up the little cramped areas. They are still adding shelving and moving inventory but we found more cheese, sausage, and other great foods. They still have souvenirs and gifts, but you will want to sample the fun cheese selection. Did I mention they have cheese!

This is coming from someone lactose intolerant… I LOVETHISPLACE. cheese…my guilty pleasure… some people are addicted to chips… or ice cream. me? put a cheese platter in front of me with some crackers and smoked sausage and im a happy happy boy and this place is the cheese pusher to this lost soul in search of his next gouda fix. The selection is great… I find myself grabbing block after block after delicious block. chipotle gouda? why yes 12 year old sharp cheddar? big time pepperjack where you can see the actual pepper flakes? oh god yes. The cheese curds here are flawless… I go with the garlic and dill… im forced to buy a few bags since at least 1 bag is empty by the end of my 180mile drive home. Nice collection of sauces and rubs, odd gifts… friendly staff I love it… will return again and again

Besides Wizard Quest, this is my favorite place in all of the Dells. The giant mouse outside with the big hunk of cheese should give you an indication that this place is legit. They have an extensive range of cheese, and the best part is that you can sample whatever you’d like before you buy it. The workers are very friendly and helpful. The cream cheese is perfect and we’ve never had a cheese we haven’t liked at this place. They have a wide variety of bottled sodas including root beer and green river, and they also have tap root beer floats with hand dipped ice cream. There’s a wide selection of cheesy(ok, pun intended) Wisconsin souvenirs as well. They also carry many types of sausage and they have an entire display devoted to bacon items, including bacon flavored frosting and lip balm. Neither my husband nor I were brave enough to purchase said items but it was interesting to see. We also enjoyed the candy selection, including hard to find items. Buy some cheese here. You won’t be disappointed, and I bet you’ll come back again. It’s the go-to cheese shop in Wisconsin dells.

CHEESEGALORE! I claim that the best cheeses hail from shops that have a statue of a cute mouse and block of cheese. Seriously. haha. And guess what? I have yet to be proven wrong! So yes, Market Square Cheese is no exception! Great selection and quality. This place a is must go whenever I’m at the Wis Dells! p. s. the workers and patrons are so friendly!

This place is really cute and they have everything. They have a big selection of souvenirs and a lot of specialty food items, too. This could be a good place to grab a snack or supplies for a picnic. They have really tasty Sprecher root beer floats, too. My husband found a seasonal Sprecher cola — blueberry, and it knocked my socks off. So good! The staff were really friendly and one gentleman even gave me and my friend an extra scoop of ice cream and root beer in our float when we mentioned we were sharing.

This place has a LOT of cheese and all sorts of other good things. Odd sodas, fudge, souvenirs, and so on. But the cheese… so much cheese! THere are lots of places to get cheese in Wisconsin but this was the most extensive collection I saw. And they have lots of other tasty and fun things too. Seems like a good last stop on your way out of the Dells. Load the cooler with cheese and get a few souvenirs too.

I always stop here before making the trek back home to Chicago. This place has got it all! They have cheese, cheese curds, fudge, jerky, popcorn, salsa, dressings, beverages, ice cream, candy, gifts, magnets, tchotchkes… the list goes on and on. I always get a hunk of fudge, cheese curds, kettle corn and an assortment of candies. Everything is reasonably priced and they take care to wrap perishables for your long car ride home.

I have been to many cheese/souvenir shops in the Dells and i am thinking that this place is the best. Don;t get me wrong that this place has more than their share of cheesy(no pun intended) souvenirs but their main focus is cheese and other edible goodies. They have a great variety. I am thinking that we circled the place at least three times trying to make up our minds with the excellent selection. I could have easily dropped a fortune here! Definitely worth the visit!

This is my favorite cheese shop in the Dells. For a while the old man and I were traveling back and forth between Minneapolis and Chicago to vacation and apartment search. I adore every cheese other than plastic American slices so I’m a kid in the candy store at this place. They have every weird type imaginable and then all of your additive cheese — i.e. pepperoni jack, dill havarti, peppercorn cheddar. You can choose your years of aging preference on certain types, also. They have a huge fridge area along one side that is chock-full of sausages. I’m a lover of the garlic sticks. Market Square carries a variety of candies. Unfortunately, salt is my weakness so I stick to the cheese and find some vague interest in the taffy. Cheap as you can get for quality Wisconsin cheeses, I still manage to spend $ 40 here.
