Wow. I went here to print some high quality photos, as my photo printer was on the fritz, and left with very few done. The lady working didn’t know ANYthing about memory cards/photo quality/etc. She kept asking the owner for help with my pictures and the problems I was having, as they told me he is a «mac» expert. I guess my files were too small, but nobody could seem to help out or make a suggestion, even if I wanted to come back to try again, which I did not. The few pictures I did get printed were nice quality and prompt. I would not suggest going there with any technical questions and the camera pricing was pretty high, I’m sure because it is an independently owned shop. They do carry ink for printers, and it is the only place in all of downtown Barre to buy ink.

I found myself in Vermont on a little road trip taking nature photos and some how quickly lost a lens cap and realized my cable release wasn’t in my bag. After asking around Montepelier, I was directed to this place. They had everything I needed, and in this day and age of digital photography rules and big general electronic stores being the norm, that was welcome. Sadly, the cable release didn’t work(went to the Barre cemetary that the owner recommended, for the great rock sculpture work on the memorials) on my camera(didn’t extend far enough to release the shutter on my Canon a-1), so I rushed right back. Caught him just as he was closing up Saturday evening and he gave me a no hassle refund. He didn’t have another one in stock, but he steered me to a place in Burlington(where I was headed) and I made it there just in time before they closed. Camera shops in smaller /more rural areas are becoming increasingly rare, so I must give my props to this gentleman and his store.
