Pine Ridge Snack Bar

Went to breakfast. Average fare. Not terrible, but not rememberable. Would have liked to try the breakfast special but unfortunately I first heard of it after I received my meal and overheard the waitress telling the table next to me about them.
The waitstaff was friendly.

I thought I’d written a review for Pine Ridge but maybe they’re expiring now. The girls at Pine Ridge are always quite nice so we like going here. It’s a comfortable place to walk into, sit and have a meal. On this trip, I chose the fried bologna sandwich. I don’t think I’ve ever ordered that out but it reminds me of when I was a kid. The bologna was sliced super thin and crisped perfectly on the edges. The cheese wasn’t melted and I wanted it to be but it was still a good sandwich. Served on toasted white bread with mustard of course because there’s no other way to eat it. My partner got a breakfast of a fried egg, bacon, pancake with real maple syrup (costs a bit extra for real syrup but worth it) and toast. The egg looked to be cooked perfectly which seems to be an art these days and the bacon was smoky and crunchy. The pancake and syrup were good but the pancake was a bit too fluffy for me. When the syrup hit it, it basically fell apart so that it was almost impossible to get off of the plate in one piece. I’m not above scraping the plate to the get the bits up so it wasn’t a problem but I like more of a dense pancake personally. My partner likes the fluffiness so she enjoyed it all. We’ll be back for more breakfasts and then again in the summer for the ice cream window.
