A friend of mine went in to do a bit of pottery, and was asked if she knew me, as she was watching the same little one that I do! She was asked to tell me to refrain from «coming into their place of bushiness» because of my Unilocal review. Trust me… try somewhere else!

Our family moved to Barrington two and a half years ago and Weird Girl Art was one of the first small businesses we visited. My children and I had such a nice, comfortable time painting pottery (pre made mugs and ornaments) for Christmas presents that I decided to bring them back a week later and have our hands imprinted together. I’m so glad I did because now I have a beautiful keepsake!
Bianca also imprinted each of my sons hands separately as a gift to me celebrating our first Christmas in Barrington!
I highly recommend other family’s to do this. Children grow up so fast and for a brief moment our hands fit perfectly inside one another’s.

Attended a birthday party here today (³⁄₂₆) in which my wife and I brought our three children to paint pottery. One of my children (age 7) has special needs. After being made to feel awkward and out of place for even suggesting the need to be with him (only one of us while the other sat in the car) while he was there, things were said to us that made us feel like we did something wrong in even bringing him. We were even told that «maybe this isn’t the right establishment for your child». I don’t know if the two staff (i think they were the owners) working today were deliberately uncaring or simply obtuse, but I was blown away by their complete lack of understanding or willingness to work with us in keeping not only our son safe but also keeping all their wonderful pottery on the shelves and off the floor. Luckily the party was coming to a close right before my son was yelled at, twice, by one of these wonderful individuals for wandering behind the counter to admire his beautiful creation. In hearing an unfamiliar voice (we were there with friends and family) yell at our son, my wife walked over from the bathroom area where she was attending to our other son, to figure out what was going on. The staff there was just not interested in having a logical adult conversation because seconds after, my wife and son were ORDERED to leave. These two women were real winners. Needless to say we will NEVER go back and «enter their space» as they so eloquently put it. Ya know, the bumper sticker on their vehicle in the parking lot said something to the effect of «some women are born leaders, you’re following one» With this type of customer service and interaction, the only thing these two women are doing are leading this business right into the ground. It’s a shame because it appears that they’re very talented, and they do make some very nice pottery; people skills, however, are a foreign concept. Should you choose to «enter their space», I hope you have a better experience than we did.

Painted some pottery here awhile ago with a Living Social deal. I found the employee (owner?) to be incredibly rude and unhelpful. When I left a negative review with Living Social, they tracked it back to me and harassed me via phone and email to take it down. I enjoy supporting small business, especially by women, but this place is awful. I’ll never return.

It is awesome to be creating quality pottery designs in a fun & lively environment. Perfect place for people to show their creativity.

I saw that some reviews were not favorable, but I can say we had a great time. It was four of us so it gets expensive, but a nice Sunday afternoon idea if you’re looking for one.

Everyone here is really friendly and helpful. It was a lot of fun and our pottery came out great. The reason I did not give 5 stars is because they take your picture without your knowledge or consent and post it to their social media sites (facebook, instagram, etc.)

I’ve be been going with my granddaughter at least once a month as a together thing. We have made many memorable things for friends, family, and teachers. A great place.

I came in to make a present for a friend and had a great experience. I felt completely comfortable coming in as a lone adult. Owner was very helpful and selection of pottery was great. Would also be a great place to bring kids. Make sure you use this address because the one on google maps takes you to the wrong place.

Amazing place to go rain or shine!!! Bring the little ones or have a fun date night painting pottery… how fun!!!
