Casa Tamales

Order came out wrong and lacking flavor without a doubt. The «we reserve the right to decline business to anyone» sign at the register doesn’t give me a warm fuzzy feeling but, maybe that’s normal for locals. Three stars for cleanliness and fresh ingredients.

Had a friend bring an order of spicy pork tacos and was surprised at the taste!!! Tamales are tasty. Pricey but good food.

I have only been there a few times, but I enjoyed each meal. It probably serves the most authentic Mexican food in Bartlesville.

Wonderful place. Had the takito beef dinner, and it was glorious. Good atmosphere, clean, self-​service. Homemade taste really shines.

This is probably one of the most underrated restaurants in Bartlesville. It’s located off the beaten path on Tuxedo, just west of hwy 75. I’ve always had a very good meal here.
What sets them apart is their homestyle Mexican cooking and the quality of their meat. Chicken in the chimichanga is shredded white meat and very flavorful. My favorite meat is the pork (or carnitas). Lately I’ve been getting the Mexi-​Stack. It has flour tortillas stuffed with a layer of beans, another layer of rice, and a top layer of carnitas. All smothered with melted cheese. Very flavorful and excellent!
The tamales are large and authentic. I saw the lady pulling a big pan of them out of the oven and had to try one. They also sell these by the dozen if you want to stop in and get some for carryout.
They give each customer a small bowl of tortilla chips which doesn’t look like enough at first but always fills me up. Their salsa bar has chunky mild tomato salsa, hot salsa, jalapenos, and spicy tomatillo salsa. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to you.
If you are looking for a nice locally owned restaurant for simple quality homemade Mexican food, give it a try!
