This place is half demolished and it doesn’t seem like they are in a rush to put it back together. When you head to your room it feels like your gonna be assaulted or something worse! Every night I thought that hit man from«no country for old men» was gonna kick in my door n take me out. Watch out this place has bed bugs. I got mauled pretty bad.

An excellent affordable stay for dog and breakfast lovers. This is a huge old hotel from the 60s or 70s; has not always been a La Quinta. Everything seemed clean and well-preserved if a little dated. Stuff seemed to be remodeled where remodeling was needed. The front desk person was a sweet lady. The price was reasonable; had it been higher I would have rated it lower. Our room was clean and nice, typical older LQ. Everything worked. Comfy beds, remodeled bathroom and great water pressure! Located right by the exit near the dog area. The dog area is a very large, nice mowed grass field on the other side of the parking lot fence. There were bags and a trash receptacle. It’s a quiet area and we felt safe letting our very athletic dog off lead to play a quick chukit when there was no one around. Our dog approved :). The best part of our stay was the breakfast. We are big breakfast eaters. We frequent LQs and stayed at several locations all over the country on this trip so our expectations are reasonable. A good La Quinta breakfast would be similar to what we would eat at a restaurant for $ 25.00 or so per couple, only add the convenience of not having to drive around searching for a restaurant in a strange town. We factor that into the cost of our stay. The breakfast was excellent; well stocked and well staffed with a clean place to eat. There were quite a few«extras». Either we were lucky or they’ve taken all the criticisms to heart. Loved that breakfast. We were there for a quick overnight stay so did not have a chance to use the pool, business center, or laundry; I seem to recall that the jacuzzi was out of order. But we didn’t have time anyway. The architecture and grounds of the hotel are utterly lacking in charm or beauty. Just a giant square ugly blob of rooms(regretfully painted that bright LQ yellow) in the middle of a giant, worn out treeless parking lot. The photo on website of lobby exterior is a little misleading. That is such a small part of the property. The huge parking lot is run down and messy and could use better lighting. But I’m at a loss to suggest what could be done to improve that short of a truly major renovation. As I mentioned, there is a handy nice dog walk area. If you realize that you aren’t going to be doing much outdoors here, it’s really not a problem. I would stay again.

Don’t book here! I booked on Priceline, hoping to get a deal. Bville is full of 2.5 star hotels — not much else offered. I was hoping for one of the newer hotels, like Fairfield Inn. Unfortunately, I was matched up with La Quinta — the oldest looking 2.5 star hotel in the town. But how bad can it be? We only needed a place to sleep… 1. A couple of days before my arrival date, I called to make sure my reservation was for a nonsmoking room w/a king bed. When I arrived, they had no note of this. Luckily, a nonsmoking room was available. 2. The gym has NO air conditioning, the treadmill is an antique, and the weight set is broken! Working out in there was miserable. There’s one fan that you can try to point on you for air. There’s no water. We ended up jogging outside along the street instead. 3. The ice machine on our floor was broken. A sign instructed us to go to either floor 1 or floor 3. Went to floor 1… ice machine was empty. 4. The door to our room wasn’t installed very well. At night, light poured in along the cracks. I put a towel along the bottom to try to block it out, but I couldn’t do much about the seams along the sides of the door. It was like sleeping with a night light in the room. 5. When I went to go check out, no one was at the counter. Just a sign that said«Be back soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.» I decided to print out my boarding passes while I waited. Went to the guest computer, checked in for the flight, printed the boarding passes… the printer was out of toner and it clearly had been for a while. I couldn’t make out my boarding passes at all on the paper… it was just a grey blur! Go back to the counter to complain… still no one at the desk! I gave up and just left, determined never to return! I will say that the bed was comfortable, there were plenty of nice pillows to choose from, the room was spacious enough and the complimentary breakfast was good. But those meager positives did not hide the fact that the building seems to be falling apart and the staff don’t seem to care.
