This place was mediocre. I mean 3 stars is pushing it. When you walk in, the place is super cute and has a home-y feeling. I got a weird vibe when we asked for a table for 2 and one of the girls behind the counter said something under her breath to the other girls like«[name’s] people are here». I brushed it off because I thought I heard it incorrectly but when we were sat, our waitress was ASIAN. Those counter girls… We came here because they actually accepted credit cards. If Snyderville’s Family Diner accepted credit cards, we would have went there again. Anyways, the food was just okay. I got the vegetable skillet. Nothing to write home about. I gave this 3 stars because they accept credit cards and because the waitress was really attentive.

WOW, after searching thru some reviews and local recommendations we decided to put our bet on this place. Well this was definitely what we needed it. Great home made cooking with a great variety of home made pancakes. Coffee mug was superb, enough coffee for my meal. The place smelled delicious as we got our food. The folks there were very helpful on what to choose and very welcoming, loved it!

Dales is a step up from your normal diner and breakfast joint. The service is not only quick but personal and good. The food, likewise, is a step up from the average. Add into that that the ambiance is great, somehow combining diner atmosphere with local art flair, and you’ve got a real gem in the Poconos. I’ve been by several times and will continue to patronize it.

My family was up for a weekend to ski and wanted to go out to breakfast. We chose Dale’s Café in Bartonsville. The owner Lee is a very polite and laid-back guy and the staff of girls are sweet and caring. The food we had was delicious. I ordered their special whole wheat nut Pancakes. The prices are bit high, but after you eat your meal and taste the quality, it’s worth it.

We absolutely love Dale’s, whenever we are in town we make sure to stop by. We love, love, love their home fries and our daughter loves their hot chocolate. The friendly professional service makes you feel so welcome. It’s a great place to visit with the family.

Really good. So nice to find a place to have breakfast in the Pocono’s that’s not your run of a mill dive. Sweet potatoes home fries facocci toast, pumpkin pancakes are a few of the menu items that made Dale’s café special. the art on the walls and the tunes being played added to the over all breakfast experience. Only down side was I had to wait too long for my first cup of coffee, our server seemed to be a bit overwhelmed But soon caught up. We’ll be back overall really good

I took my niece here for lunch after pottery. We both got grilled cheese sandwiches, and they were gross. The sandwiches were served on a ciabatta roll(although I don’t think these technically qualified as ciabatta), and the cheese was a combo of cheese slices and shredded cheddar like you buy in a bag at the grocery store. The pasta salad that came with it was equally icky and made with some kind of orange stuff. The only reason I gave it on star is because the staff was very friendly and nice.

I have been a dales customer for years and will never stop. Everytime i go i get the grilled chicken melt with extra pasta salad and chipotle sauce on the side. The girls that work there are very nice and some of them even remember my order. Great family place love it!

Stopped in around 1130am on a Saturday for lunch while visiting the Great Wolf Lodge with my family. We were seated relatively quickly, but then it took a full 15 minutes for someone to actually take our food and drink order. Drinks came another 10 minutes later — two of the four orders were wrong. Then we waited and waited, flies buzzing around our table in the meantime.(The floor had clearly not been cleaned recently, there were wrappers and sticky spots everywhere). Food came 45 minutes after the drinks — and again, two of the four orders were wrong. Thankfully the waitress was nice about fixing the error.(We ordered soup, pasta, a bagel and a quesadilla — not exactly a heavy order either, but since the guacamole had already turned brown by the time it got to us, it must have been sitting around for a while anyway). After we had already placed our order, a couple came in, were seated next to us, ordered, got their food, ate and paid before our meals even arrived. All totaled, it took 95 minutes from the time we walked in to the time we left. It literally would have been faster for me to drive the 75 miles back to my house to get lunch than it was to stop in at Dale’s for a bite. Would give the place 1 star but I have to say the waitress was really nice and pretty apologetic about getting almost everything wrong.

I ordered the tilapia sandwich and side salad. Fish was on the small side but very tasty. Salad was ok, lettuce tomato and red onion. Vinaigrette dressing was pure vinegar. Tomato basil soup was very good and the roasted pepper/mozzarella cheese sandwich was really tasty too. Ordered sweet potato fries but got sweet potato home fries, they had a funky taste. Prices are pretty reasonable :)

Stopped in thinking it was going to be a good experience. But did not turn out that way. While waiting to be seated we were not even acknowledged. Tables and floor was rather dirty. No napkins or utensils on the table, no water after we requested. Very slow service.(½ hr wait) Food was average. Surprised about the experience. Time for a new management.

If you’re looking for a great list of food items all made by what I believe is a newly divorced man who is teaching himself to cook look no further. The only upside to this meal was that I feel like a causality of war and that I’ve eaten this trash so you don’t have to. I ordered a chicken parm sandwich and it was literally chicken fingers with melted cheese and ketchup. If I could go back in time I would have just asked the waitress to bring back a plate with a picture of me frowning on it for 11 dollars. I only give this place two stars because they had ginger ale. Also thy sell 5×7 pictures taken with a disposable camera. For 30 dollars a piece. Who the hell do you think you are?

After staying at the Knights Inn across the street, we saw Dale’s and ate here after finding its good Unilocal rating. Simple interior and menus, not fancy, but had some classy rat pack music playing. Serves Pepsi products, but when I asked for a Coke they had cans?! Didn’t expect that… Went with the Dale’s Grand Breakfast and chose scrambled eggs, bacon, with Yukon gold potato home fries. One thing I noticed, the meal was warm, and it could have been a little hotter. Pancakes were nice and thick. Eggs were fluffy and bacon had good flavor. The home fries were the most interesting part of the meal; they were almost mashed a little bit leading to a different texture with good flavor. Overall the food was decent but the price might have been a little high for the quantity. Service was fine so the stop was worth it.

Small but cozy. Loving every minute of it here. The food is affordable and delicious. I ordered something small — two eggs on a roll for only $ 3 and it was gooood! The soft crunchy fresh roll. They have a lot of servers here so the service is pretty speedy — it was right down fast compared to the rest of the local restaurants I’ve been to. There was no line but this seem to be a popular local joint. The décor looks a little run down but who cares? Come here for the good food
