As a walked in for the first time at Carl’s Jr., I can say I wasn’t impress, The lady«Andrea» at Bastrop taking our order was very rude and unpolite, all there drinks were flat which defeat the purpose of having a drink, I ordered the beef and cheese burrito and got no beef plus the chip where stale. To sum this all up, this left a very bad taste In my mouth I know I’ll never be coming back to Carl’s Jr.

I’m not going to act as though this was my first experience with the place. I first ate at this place 2 years ago and never reviewed it. I’ve eaten here 3 times total in 2, 4 times if you count once in Austin. What can be said about this franchise positive?(Clock ticking) I made the choice to return 3 times and believe that was sheer greed and stupidity. Folks the food is nasty, plain and simple nasty. Did it take me more than 1 trip to realize that… not at all. I stopped by 9.26.15 and got breakfast. I paid for it the rest of the day. You know when you get that taste of sulfur on the tongue but don’t vomit? I don’t know what preservatives and other chemicals are in the food but blaaah! I don’t like the taste of the mini hash browns and the meat. Please get this place out of Tx and find a better restaurant to employ the people working there at. We have enough imported West coast garbage eateries. Yes I am a TX homer and unapologetically so. No thanks I will make time to cook or find something else before I eat here again.

Carl’s Jr. in BASTROP… totally gross… wish I could give negative stars. Have eaten there a few times, just to give it a chance, and have been consistently disappointed. Food looks nothing like it does in commercial and tastes even worse… and if that weren’t enough… it’s cold! And something else… MADCOWDISEASE… Has anyone heard of the recent fatal MADCOWDISEASE cases related to Carl’s Jr. Can’t confirm anything yet, but they’re such a large conglomerate… I bet they can keep something like that on the«down-low». Anyway… eat at your own risk!!!

Are used to eat at Carl’s Jr./green burrito when I work out in California 8 – 9 years ago and I really enjoyed it. But we have been to a Carl’s Jr. just a few times since I’ve moved into Texas at three different locations, and all three locations have been subpar food. Our last visit to the one in Bastrop Texas was particularly poor. Not only is it not the green burrito that I remember from California which was a very large burrito covered in green sauce filled with meat and rice and beans but my wife’s hamburger was poor and our hamburgers have been poor every time at our visits here in Texas. We will never be going to another Carl’s Jr. again.

Friendly staff, mediocre food, average prices. It wasn’t bad, but I have no idea why people go all gaga over Carl’s Junior. It’s nothing special. Just a greasy chain burger joint.

This was my first experience at a Carl Jr.‘s restaurant. My first impression was the underwhelming menu. There was nothing special about any of the burgers I could choose, or no special standout menu item. I chose the barbecue bacon burger with onion rings. The bacon on my burger was bland and soggy, while the sauce was an appealing sweet. The burger was decent, albeit reminiscent of something I could get at Burger King(which is not a good thing, I can assure you). The onion rings I had ordered were pretty horrible, coated in an unseasoned batter or blandness. I suppose you get what you pay for at Carl Jr.‘s, as it was fairly cheap. The service was kind enough to bring this restaurant up to a mediocre two stars. I will not bring my business back.

All this hype I hear about how awesome Carl’s Jr. is. Blah blah blah BESTBURGERS yada yada. Uh, yea. Ok. If you’ve been to a Burger King, this is a notch above. Not by much though. I mean I guess I can’t dog the food that much. It’s not like you should expect five star food from a chain fast food restaurant or anything. But this is no where near Whataburger, Burger Boy delicious. The lobby and restrooms were clean. The employees were really friendly, especially for being 6PM on Christmas Eve. The food was fast to come out. What else is there to say? We stopped on our long road trip home for a quick bite. It cured the hunger pains. ;p

The $ 6 turkey burger is a good option but be sure that you are explicit in your request. I have them the opportunity to fix my order only to have them give it away to an unsuspecting drive through order. I got a mumbled«sorry ’bout that» in return.

Good food! Alas, no wifi. That doesn’t reflect on value, per se, but it often influences where I go.

My order has been incorrect 5 of the last 5 visits. I’m tired of waiting just to send it back every time. Even when I’m explicitly clear because I anticipate mistakes now. It’s off my list of places to eat in Bastrop.

I have been to many Carl’s Jr’s, however this one is one of the worst I have been to… Every time I go through the drive-thru, they repeat my order correctly at the order station, then when I receive the Santa Fe Chicken sand, no lett plus xtra chile strip and sauce its WRONG… Still have to get out of vehicle,(which is why I went through the drive-thru in the first place, to avoid going in) to get the corrected sandwich(One item)… Their food is awesome(when made correctly), srvc AND communication(reading order correctly) — needs some major improvements!

Extremely slow service. When order finally came out it was completely wrong. Overheard other customers with the same issues. Talked to the manager and she said they were short staffed and had new(i.e. untrained) employees. A big mess! And did I mention they had no tarter sauce for the Atlantic cod sandwich? In the 30 minute wait for the sandwich I think an employee could have gone to Walmart or HEB to take care of this sauce shortage. I also had the sweet potato fries which were tasteless/bland. This store seemed to be not customer focused at all. My first and last time eating here.

For fast food I was pretty impressed. I even got 2 tacos for a dollar and liked them more than jack in the box.

The food is really good and the service is on par. My wife had the chicken fingers and sweet potato fries and i had one of their large hamburgers with fried zucchini, all of which were very good… i need to study the menu and try to find a smaller hamburger and quit super sizing me!

Why do We keep doing this… Stopped last Saturday AM for a quick snack… The 2 for 2 biscuits… So many people have told us that they are GREAT… Didnt taste fresh, hard and dry… not much egg and bacon seamed the heat and serve brand.

I have no idea what the deal is with Unilocal and Bastrop, but my effort to check in here failed because it thought it was 12 miles away. Dunno what that’s about. Anywho… This was my first trip to Carl’s Jr and I think I’d like to have this place near me in Houston so I could go at least once a week. The Green Burrito stuff I didn’t even get into, but I will start making it a point to stop here on the way to Austin so I can. It all looked GOOD. As for the Carl’s menu, it’s good. Love the options — low cal, but loaded, turkey burgers(omg the guac one!) and chicken were both delish. The burgers look good too and being a sometimes low-carber, the lettuce burger looks ever so enticing. Wish it were here, but I’ll make a point to go back. Clean, ungreasy food made me not feel the normal fast food shame cycle.

I’ve always liked Carl’s Jr and do my best to stop at one when I can as there are few locations really convenient to my house. Last night, I stopped at this location after leaving Bastrop late. When I arrived almost 1 ½ hours before the restaurant closed, I walked in and found them mopping up.(At that point, they had already even put up the iced tea, necessitating me getting a Coke.) In fact, I thought they were closing. They invited me and assured me they were open. The early closing activities aside, the food was excellent. The Western Bacon Cheeseburger was as solid as I’ve had for fast food. The onion rings were hot and exceptionally well done. For fast food, it was danged near perfect. The early closing activities held them back from getting the fifth star.
