We ate there on 4 October. The food is very good as usual, they were shorthanded but there are a lot of tables that were not bused and people were standing waiting in line to have a seat. It seems to me that of these people are going to be paid $ 15 an hour they need to do more and earn it. Our waitress Beth is a veteran there she’s very good they were all getting exasperated because of the situation. We come here about once or twice a month because of the good service and good food however something needs to be done or address to Bob Evans corporate about this. We also miss the coffee pots on the tables. It seems like they’re cutting corners to save money but also they’re cutting service

If our dining experience at Bob Evans was a movie, it would be «The Hunger Games.» We visited for the very first time for dinner on a Tuesday night. First impressions were positive: the restaurant was squeaky-clean and attractive, and we were seated promptly. After that, things went downhill and stayed there. We were a party of five, and although we all ordered simple entrees and beverages with no substitutions, our meals took a long time to arrive and when they did, three of our entrees were messed up. Salad dressings were wrong, items like bread and biscuits and other side dishes were missing, and burger toppings that the waitress had even confirmed with us on ordering were 100% incorrect(spinach, mushrooms and cheese instead of lettuce, tomato and pickle!?). Although the restaurant was not remotely busy and our server appeared to be covering just a few tables, she took several minutes to bring some of the missing items, piecemeal, and seemed completely apathetic about anyone’s order being complete or correct.(That, or she just takes perverse pleasure in making her customers beg and plead to get what they ordered.) Coffee and«bottomless» hot chocolate cups were refilled only once, if at all, and never by our own server. When we asked for some lettuce/tomato/pickle to put on the burger that was missing them, our server took away the«incorrectly-topped» burger and didn’t return with it for at least 15 minutes. By that time, the rest of us had given up on the parts of our meals that still hadn’t come and finished the food we’d been brought, and my son had to gulp his burger down while we waited. When our check arrived, with a half-hearted, «I might be able to knock the price down a couple dollars if you wanted because of all the problems we’ve had, but [sigh] it’ll take awhile,» from the server(we declined as all we wanted to do was get out of there, and perhaps go get something to eat!) we realized that the check was wrong, anyway, and that we’d been charged for an extra meal. It took the involvement of three separate staff members to figure out how to correct the bill. While the food was actually quite good(when you could get it — try the sweet Italian dressing, it’s absolutely delicious, even if it’s not what you ordered!) and the restaurant looked great, the service was just plain terrible.

I’ve eaten at this particular Bob Evans quite a few times on the road to Toronto. The location is very large(or maybe just large compared to NYC places), and they need it because this place gets crowded! The wait for seating is never long and you pay on your way out so the turn around here is fast. The food quality is on par with or maybe even slightly higher than an IHOP which is good considering they are both chain restaurants. I had the breakfast skillet which was eggs, home fries, sausage and melted cheddar cheese with a side biscuit. The prices are fair and the food is satisfactory. 4 stars.

One of my favorite places for lunch or dinner in Batavia. Service is great and the manager is very pleasant and fixes any problem quickly and satisfactorily. I’ve never ordered a dish that wasn’t great tasting. My favorite is the chicken fried steak and a side of their yummy dressing with my mashed. No charge when you asked for extra gravy like some restaurants do. Sometimes there is a wait, but any good restaurant will. Their chocolate bread pudding is to die for.

+ great service, good food — small interior I’ve been to a few Bob Evans, and I was really impressed with this one. The restaurant actually looked a little different than the typical Bob Evans. Different colors and décor. It was a little smaller inside than what I’m used to being in. From the very start to finish the waitress was super friendly and stayed on top of things. We both ordered the turkey dinner with soup. The chicken noodle soup was outstanding with lots of noodles and large chunks of white meat. The turkey dinner came with authentic slices of turkey(not processed), tons of stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy. It all tasted wonderful. The waitress was kind enough to provide boxes and a bag for our leftovers. She also brought us a coffee to go. The Manager stopped by and asked how we were doing. Upon checkout we were treated nicely with the girl asking how everything was. I would certainly come back to this location in a heartbeat.

Okay, so maybe it’s not really fair to review a chain restaurant like this, but I just wanted to say we did enjoy our meal here. Unfortunately, I was really not feeling well when we stopped in, so I may have given some negative vibes to our waitress, Kaelynn. If so, I apologize. She was sweet and(mostly) attentive. At the end, I just needed to grab her for a to-go container and my dessert that came with the meal. The food is about what you would expect from an inexpensive chain restaurant. I ordered the three-course meal(chicken noodle soup, turkey dinner, and dessert) for $ 9.99. Soup was okay; given the current way I had felt, all I really wanted was the broth so I could warm up a bit and help make the headache go away. It was a bit salty, and the noodles were a bit chewy for my liking, but they actually looked like what fresh pasta noodles should be, and they weren’t mush that you regularly get with canned soup. I left most of the noodles in the bowl and just drank what I could of the broth. The turkey platter was okay. Gravy, mashed potatoes, and cranberry relish — which was definitely flavored with orange and maybe even lemon, because it had some pucker to it. The«dressing» was okay, sort of the basic pre-mixed add-some-water boxed variety, but it wasn’t dry or mushy either. My boyfriend had the chicken plate with two breaded & fried chicken breasts and fries & mashed potatoes. He commented the chicken was better than most he’s had at any other Bob’s locations, so I’d say he was happy with that. He finished his plate no problem. The dinner rolls we got were really good. Fresh, warm, soft, and yeasty, and I used mine to sop up some of the soup broth that was hiding in the noodles I’d left behind. I may have given this another star if I had felt better; maybe I just couldn’t enjoy the food much at that moment. But the two nicest parts of the meal(in my opinion) were the dinner rolls and Kaelynn.
