For a $ 20 lunch buffet(after tax and tips), I didn’t think it was super but it was good. Nothing really stood out to me other than the asparagus and the ice-cream bar! ;) Make sure you have your license with you in order to get in, and if you were born in 1990 or after you’ll need two forms of ID.

High end casinos typically feature equally quality dining options, except in this case with L’Auberge. It is far and away the nicest casino in these parts, which is why my expectationsfor this buffet were higher than most. Considering how seafood and gluttony are two things Louisiana does well, it was a shame«Bön Temps» was nothing close to a «good time.» Full disclosure, I was slightly inebriated at the beginning and thought the idea of a $ 30 seafood buffet in Baton Rouge at a casino would be a great idea. My companions and I weren’t just starving but we had earned enough points to merit a comp’d meal at the buffet. Suckers for the promo and tired of Stadium( ) we went mouth first into what we assumed would be a sea of foodgasms /food comas /food babies /all of the above. Armed with fresh plates and adorning our table with buckets for shells, we went heaps for snow crab legs, stone crabs, raw oysters, cocktail shrimp, fried fish, and crawfish. Nothing was outstanding and everything was mediocre flavor wise. The fried fish was brick like, the shrimp were dry, the raw oysters had a «funk» about them, and the crabs were underseasoned. Perhaps the biggest disappointment were the crawfish, which were in season, and lacking terribly in seasoning. It’s understandable that buffets aren’t known for quality food, but this is even lower than what we had hoped. Despite these setbacks, the beauty of a buffet is having options. Next plate up was hot food, which was a cornucopia of meats, corn on the cob, potatoes, with mac and cheese, and dessert. Not one thing on the plate stood out — all bland. It was enough to where most of us were sober and hating life — we were supposed to be the exact opposite. A serious buzzkill, quite literally. The service wasn’t stellar enough to sell us back. They were slow to clear tables and generally seemed understaffed on a week night. Being attentive with a good attitude is service must, but my group and I got neither. At one point I just asked for an entire pitcher so they wouldn’t have to come back to refill our glasses. Naturally, they forgot about the pitcher. Perhaps one of these days I’ll be back to try a holiday themed night or even one of their breakfast sessions. Lord knows I want to try some smoked gator(whoa — ) and/or score a morning hashbrown fix. Though I have a feeling my initial disappointment has barred me from any likely return visits.

The seafood part of the buffet was not what we expected at all. The boiled crabs were over cooked, the shrimps were cold cocktail shrimp, and the fried fish was hard. But I can say the ribs were really good and the Mac and Cheese. But it’s not worth the price, but that’s my opinion.

I updated my review to 3 stars now that I have had a chance to try the buffet. The crawfish was very good(a bit spicy) but not over cooked. The crab legs were good, although some of the shells were hard to crack. They had fish that was cooked to order(that line was very long and I didn’t have a chance to have one). Other than that, the buffet was very mediocre at best. There wasn’t much other seafood to choose from, I think there was cod(over fried) and shrimp(that became over cooked as it sat in hot water on the line). Other choices included Asian noodles and stir fry, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, a meat carving station, a baked potato bar, and a large assortment of desserts. Eventhough the crawfish hit the mark, with the rest of the buffet falling flat, I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

Food is great. Love the sea food as well as desserts. The problem is you wait in extremely long lines I am talking 20 – 60 minutes in line to pay and be seated. The worst is when a person with a high up player card gets in line they cut you and this happens so much I tend to just go home and not eat at this buffet.

Like some of the other reviewers, I was not impressed with this buffet. The only boiled shrimp was Bbq. Tried the crab legs, ok. The pork loin and ribs were awesome, tho not classified as seafood. :-) For a seafood buffet in South Louisiana, ITSUCKED. Especially for the price you pay, $ 24.99. Will not return until I find out they either changed or have a new executive chef.

It looked good from outside the restaurant. At 7p on a Wed night, The line was over an hour and a half to get in. Line were 30 people deep at the buffet stations. Left the premises and went to another restaurant. Was really craving seafood too, but it shouldn’t be too hard to find in this city

Came from GA. No kids allowed. So wasted trip… Silly. Why would they put the restaurant behind the casino??? You have to be 21 to go through the casino to get to the restaurant. My kids were really disappointed. We just wanted to eat. No gambling.

Mediocre food… slow service… topped with a fog of cigarette smoke Carving station steaks were overcooked. Cooks just standing around talking, had one just standing back there eating crab legs, ZERO entrée plates to be found along the buffet, had to use salad plates to eat with. Service was to be expected of a buffet… barely there and took forever to ask/get anything. My one and only time here…

Went in for dinner on Thursday night with party of 4. The food was so bad that I decided that I needed to create an account on here so that I could let people know. Cost about $ 25 per person. Nothing was fresh. Nothing at all. We tried lots of item just trying to find something that was decent. The gelato was the only thing we could find. I would advise avoiding this place at all costs. The service wasn’t great but I don’t care much about that since it can vary so much from server to server. But we went in at what should have been dinner time — 6:30 pm. and all the food tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. NOTFRESH. VERYBAD.

I went on Friday before the Seafood Extravaganza and it was only $ 14.95. I was literally full for the entire day and the food was great. I wanted more but my stomach just couldn’t take it. The food was fresh and didn’t look like it had been sitting out all day. All of the meat I picked up was actually still hot which was great. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because our waitress was horrible. She took forever to pick up the plates and to refill out drinks. Other than that would definitely recommend to a friend.

Came in for dinner on a Saturday night for the Louisiana seafood so my score is based mainly on the snowcrab and crawfish. After my horrible experience in Vegas, this place felt like heaven. The snow crab was steamed and to top it off, they steamed the crab with some Louisiana spice to add some flavor. It wasn’t steamed with water, it was steamed with flavor! Crawfish was also in season so we got to try some of that. Had a nice spicy kick to it. Other things I remember on the buffet include alligator, steak, and pork. Nothing too special about those sides or any other dishes but the food on the buffet was kept as fresh as any buffet can be, which I consider a good thing when compared to many other casino buffets.
