I like writing GOOD reviews. I can’t for this place. I was looking forward to a dinner meeting for my husband’s work. We all met at this restaurant and expected a great meal and atmosphere. Didn’t happen! We were seated pretty quickly and were told Shane would be our server for the evening. The table was in an awkward place where people walked by constantly. The table was also very wobbly. It was super loud, and we couldn’t hear each other talk. We had to talk very loudly to each other. After that, we waited about 20 minutes or more for a waiter before finally asking where«Shane» was. The other waiter said, «Oh, Shane? He’s here somewhere. I’ll find him.» Shane finally showed up and took our drink order. Everyone ordered beer except for me. I ordered a margarita. Shane asked if I wanted the 99 cent margarita, but I told him no. He said, «Of course you don’t.» I wasn’t sure how to take that comment. Strange. Anyway, it took another 25 minutes or so before receiving our drinks. We stopped the same waiter and asked where Shane was with our drinks, and he went to find Shane. Shane finally showed up again, and we asked him where our drinks were. He said, «Oh, they are at the bar.» This was insane! So he brought the drinks to us and it was obvious they had been sitting there a while, because there was condensation on the beer bottles and the ice in my margarita was almost all melted. It took another long while for Shane to come back and take our food orders. When the food arrived, all of it came at once. The salad one person ordered came with the main entrée, not before. We also had TWO orders of a catfish dinner plate instead of only ONE like we ordered. So Shane said he wouldn’t charge for the salad or the extra fish plate. Well thanks, Shane, for not charging for something we DIDN’T order! We did receive another round of drinks, finally. I was given another margarita, even though I wasn’t asked if I wanted another one. Shane just brought it without asking me. I was actually going to order a glass of water instead. At one point, another waiter/food runner brought another table’s food, dropped the large oval tray on the floor after passing out the food, left the tray on the floor, and walked off. Several other waiters walked pass the tray on the floor without picking it up. This was definitely a safety hazard for customers as well as the staff. FINALLY, another waiter picked the tray up while looking confused about it being on the floor in the middle of the walkway between tables. It was ridiculous! With the terrible service, at least the food was good. The ribs were great, the burgers were great, and the fish was great. If you go to this place, make sure you have PLENTY of time. We were there about 2 hours 15 minutes. Most of that time was spent waiting on Shane. We won’t be returning to this restaurant. The food was good, but the service and atmosphere just totally ruined the experience.

Best Baby Back Ribs on Planet Earth and Billy Cannon’s Heisman Trophy! What more could you want in a place? All the food here is good. The place is loaded with one of a kind LSU memorabilia. Top Notch place that every Tiger fan should experience on a fall Saturday!

What an experience! My buddy and I were seated immediately by a very nice hostess who said that our waiter would be right with us. Cool we thought because I had told my friend about T. J’s famous .99 cent margaritas. After awhile it was clear that no waiter was coming, other waiters saw us, and other people were being seated and waited on, just not us. Eventually we asked the hostess if we could get a waiter. She seemed surprised that nobody had helped us yet. A short time later Zack showed up and said that our waiter had called in sick and that he would be helping us. Strange, shouldn’t the hostess have known this or the manager? Also it seemed like a weak excuse because Zack reeked of cigarette smoke. The follies continue. We ordered 2 of the special 99 cent margaritas but Zack immediately told us that they weren’t very good and that you get what you pay for. Zack then tried to sell us some top shelf margarita that didn’t even have a price next to it. My buddy and I both looked at each other and said simultaneously, «just water then». What kind of restaurant would serve something that’s not good? My answer came when my rack of baby back ribs arrived. Very dry and not very warm. The icing on the cake was when Zack returned my credit card without a pen to sign. When I asked for a pen he said«sorry, I usually work days». People don’t use credit cards here during the day I guess.

After tonight I have to put TJ Ribs on my top 10 list for best spots to dine. The services is so fast and friendly even with an extremely packed house like tonight. The menu has so many choices with reasonable prices. The food was served within moments from ordering, so hot and full of finger licking flavor. My friend and I was eating off of each other’s plates, sampling all the great cuisine before our eyes. The drinks are made just the way one would like them and everyday the 99cent margarita is served from open to close. I recommend this restaurant for lunch with friends or a date with your partner.

If this is the only place open, then go. Otherwise, go somewhere else. It was May 5, it was packed. That’s fine. We sat down. Our server told us they were out of glasses so I shouldn’t order a margarita. I ordered a larger margarita in a larger glass. It was not tasty. It melted almost instantly. The bbq arrived. It was tasty. But the overall experience wasn’t worth the money spent.

Ate some very good ribs here. Also had the corn grits and potato salad. All were good. In town for business. People in the area love the place. It was packed when we were there. The service was good. Only problem was no lemonade.

Sunday night visit, but was seated with no waiting. Alex was our server and he was awesome! My son had the kids pizza, my eldest son had the chopped beef sandwich, and I had a full rack with the carrot soufflé and squash casserole. I had a small issue with my first rack of ribs but it was quickly taken care of. The carrot soufflé reminds you of sweet potatoes, very different. I’d definitely come back!

We order the bbq platter is was more than enough for us to share. We had to take half with us. The bbq sauce has just the right amount of seasoning.

This is one very up setting dining experience ! Condiments were wasted all over our table by the waitress and no attempt was ever made to clean it! So we had to dine with the table and surroundings in this condition ! We were seated at table 20 by the window ! After the incident the waitress became very unattentive as though the incident were our fault ! My wife had been wanting to dine in for quite sometime only to be greeted with this disappointing dining experience ! Have also been sitting for quite sometime waiting for her to return and take my payment !

Hands down the best babyback ribs I’ve ever had. Fall off the bone tender and not dry.

Sooo good! Best BBQ I’ve had in a while, and I’m definitely coming back. Brought family here for our first experience and it was like eating fresh BBQ out of the hill country. The smell and sight of the food was great. A little small inside but there are chairs outside.

Have had lunch here twice over the past 5 months. Both times have had some of the best baby back ribs ever. The ribs are slow smoked and presented with your choice of sides. I always get the fries, very good. The sauce is not too sweet nor too much vinegar, just right. Good beer selection, lots of large screen TV’s for sports and great waiters. Will return.

Being from Tennessee I wasn’t expecting much from a bbq restaurant in Louisiana but I was impressed. The ribs were great and the atmosphere is too. Great place to watch a game and enjoy great ribs.

Went there for Father’s Day 2015. Surprisingly we did not have to wait on a table. We were a party of 15, but only had one server. Drink orders were taken as soon as we were seated, which was greatly appreciated. The downside was when the server had taken half of the food orders, our server was pulled and was confused about who had ordered what. Some people got their food, others had to wait on theirs. The bottom line is that the food was really good, the people were very nice and we all had a great time!

Cool tucked away place, I tried there recommended hot wings which are unique in that they are smoked and lightly fried. They were awesome and tasty. Nice atmosphere and very friendly service staff.

Best ribs in town. They are always consistent and come out quick. Large selection of sides, stick with the corn grits, collards, carrot soufflé, green beans or beans. Stay away from the mojos as half the time they are cold and chewy. The chimichangas are a must. Lots of tvs with any major sporting on to watch.

The food at TJ ribs continues to be as good as it ever was, but I’m finding the service quality to be on the decline. My last visit was in a Tuesday night and the restaurant was only about halfway full but service was still subpar. We were seated all the way back in a corner behind a half wall even though there were plenty of better tables that would have had some kind of view of the restaurant. We felt like punished kids in a dark corner. It took a long time for our waitress to take our order and to return with the drinks. When our food arrived we had to tell the waitress that we were never even given silverware. It took her so long to bring it that I got up to go get some myself from the hostess stand. The ribs were good and the side dishes were too, I just wish the signature baby back ribs would be offered as a half rack but they’re not.

Honestly… I’ve had cheaper BBQ that was better than this. If you have to SATURATE your pulled pork sandwich, or anything else for that matter in BBQ sauce– it’s not good BBQ. The best part about this meal was the chicken, & even that was Boston Market quality. If your a BBQ lover, & have had good BBQ before– pass on this place.
