Coming from an employee, it’s a wonderful positive environment! I love seeing all the customers and our regulars! I highly recommend it for anyone in college that wants to work in the service industry!

The burgers aren’t bad, infact as of late their burgers have gotten considerably better with their«burger of the month» lineup giving customers a chance to try something new. And there’s something for everyone on their menu, especially their beer menu. But poor management and an overburdened staff continue to plague Walk-On’s. Expect to wait 30 minutes for your order at lunch. Expect tomatoes and pickles on your burger no matter how you asked them to dress it. Expect 10 – 15 minutes to get your check. Expect to be back to work late because what should have been a 30 minute lunch took 75 minutes.

I’ve been here a couple of times, to the Burbank and Towne center location(Baton Rouge) as well as the New Orleans location. The food is decent, I love the college night special where everything is half off with a student I.D. The service is a hit or miss, I’ve had good waitresses and a couple ditzy ones but for the most part I don’t have too many complaints. It’s a sports fanatic environment so if there’s a big game anticipate a crowd. I give it three starts because the food is decent it’s not WOWing nor is it bad, this is a nice place to go with a group of friends.

I Love the burger sliders. Alligator appetizer is always good. Plenty of beers on tap.

Service has been good sometimes. Other times, nonexistent– only seeing my server when she took our order and when she gave us the check. I don’t think there is anything special about the food that necessarily makes me want to come back. I had the ahi tuna wrap last time and although the sauce gave it all a nice flavor, I felt it was too dry. The food didn’t take long to come out. However, it has before. My close friend experienced an entire comp meal because of an extremely long wait time before Good spot for hangouts with the multiple televisions, reasonably priced bar drinks, and typical game food. I guess

Horrible wait time. Had to wait 45 minutes for table. 25 minutes after that waitress came and got our drink order. Prices are way to high for the overrated food. Drinks are watered down and expensive.

The food was decent but the waiter was not very attentive. We didn’t get refills and had to ask for the check from another waitress because ours never came back to check on us.

Always very good service and food!!! Today however; all the bartenders were chatting with seems to be their friends??? Ahi tuna wrap was over-cooked and very dry!!! This menu item is on the spicy side so refills of water are at the utmost importance… that was not happening today… Also, I did not know to sub a salad instead of fries would be an additional $ 2.50 charge!!! WOW always have loved this place however; they need to get in control of their new staff!!! Restaurant was not even busy!!!

I’ve been here often due to its proximity with LSU for football weekends and I’ve also eaten here several times for other occasions when the crowd was light. The food is ok, not great but good. They don’t serve raw oysters here which would be a huge plus if they changed that. Service, during busy times, is virtually non-existent if you’re drinking at or near the bar. It’s extremely difficult to get the bartender’s attention. Sometimes they even look right at you knowing you want to buy a drink but completely ignore you(as if they’re hoping you go away). Service at the tables is much much better even when it’s busy.

Raw shrimp and bacon! Hopefully I don’t get sick. The devils on horseback sounds good if it would have been cooked. Haven’t been here in 3 years and will not be back!

I ate here. It kept me alive for another day. There was beer. Unfortunately, they decided not to turn up the volume on the Big Game. Normally, I don’t really care about hockey, but the 4 other guys I was with were complaining. Complainers really bug the dog crap out of me. And the queso got cold pretty quick. Probably had something to do with the A/C being set to, like, 50 or something. Wait. Wait. Waitaminute. Is that The Big Game’s volume I hear??? Oh my God! This place is the best! And Sarah totally hooked us up by keeping our glasses wet. And I had a salad anyway. Salads are supposed to make you cranky. I need a cigarette.

I haven’t been here since last year, which is probably going to be the last time I ever go for the food. Both of our entrees were super over cooked. I got grilled fish. How do you mess up grilled fish? My personal favorite were the boudin balls, which tasted like weird burnt ground beef. If you cut them in half, it was just solid black meat on the inside. We asked the waitress about it, and she told us that’s how boudin balls are made in Louisiana. I’m from Baton Rouge, my boyfriend is from Vacherie — we know how they’re made. Anyway, I know cooks have off nights, but we were more annoyed that the waitress was playing it off as good food. I wasn’t in the mood to argue for a free meal or anything, so we just didn’t eat our food, paid the bill, and didn’t go back.

Very good food and staff. Recommended! Oh see why people flock here. Kudos on the big screen tv with the fishing show.

First off we called ahead to see if they had crawfish and they said they had plenty. When we got there they told us they didn’t have any left. Was such a let down since my boyfriend is from out of town. Service was slow. They also ran out of sugar to put around the rim of a drink. Our meal also came out like 3 minutes after we got our appetizers. Food is really good. we got the cheese fries(best ever) boyfriend got the boom boom shrimp Poboy& he loved it. I got the chicken fingers which I wouldn’t get again but their honey mustard dipping sauce is great.

The Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding is worth making the trip to Walk-ons! It is a must try!

When I first tried Walk-on the atmosphere was pretty nice and they have a great outdoor area where they have lots of events before a major game. The negative side of walk on is that the food is very similar to the chimes but does not taste as good. The prices are a little bit higher than the chimes restaurant and not as tasty.

Being right on LSU’s campus, this place is set up perfectly for gameday tailgating. They have a massive bar and ample tables, as well as an outdoor patio. Don’t expect much from the food, although I’ve had excellent sweet potato fries and good duck&andoille gumbo. Service is hit or miss and they only employ ladies for the service, so when you come in with a table full of women, the service can lack because they know they’re not going to be able to flirt their way to lots of money… that was painfully obvious the night we went to watch the opener LSU game. At one point I just told our waitress we would flag her down if we needed anything. I go here because other people want to go, but wouldn’t go out of my way for a random dinner or casual drinks, this is a sports bar and they cater to those types.

The atmosphere screams typical sports bar with lots of TVs. The do have an excellent selection of beer on tap with about 30 different brews on tap. The food was a surprise though. The three guys I was with each raved about their meals: hang-over burger, the stuff burger, and a grilled mahi-mahi all with fries. Each one said good things about the fries. I had the duck and sausage gumbo. Very flavorful not too hot. I also had the Ahi Tuna Salad. Colorful and very good. It was a welcome, fresh tasting alternative to the typical bar fare. Our waitress, Taylor, was very friendly and helpful pointing out the highlights of the menus, making sure our drinks were full and we were taken care of

So they can fry some things and make a good meal. I think this restaurant is great. I like that they have waffle fries with their meal. However I don’t think it’s the best compared to other places I’ve been to. Seafood and sandwiches are good.

Update time…1st time in since the last time… stopped in with my niece after we left the Battle on the Bayou track meet hosted by LSU on 4÷13÷13… It was pretty well packed at 3ish in the afternoon but we were seated immediately in the bar area and had prompt and friendly service… Started with an appetizer of «Angels on Horseback»…shrimp with a oyster wrapped around it and a bacon strip around both then deep fried… YUM! Damn tasty stuff… an order of those with a salad would make for a light and filling meal… My niece went with the Cajundillas… a quesadilla stuffed with chicken, andouille sausage and boudin… sounds good but the niece was NOT impressed! She said the combination of filling did not go well together… she blamed it on the chicken as she loves boudin and andouille… so if you’re feeling adventurous maybe give it a try… I never will cause I don’t care for boudin… I went with the Hangover burger… Muy delicioso… that sunny side up egg and crisp bacon just makes the burger… I enjoyed it at the Walk On’s in NOLA and damn sure enjoyed it here at the LSU location… the only drawback to it is too much bun and by that I mean it’s too thick and fluffy… a slimmer bun would vault this burger into the pantheon of all time best burgers… If you find yourself over near Alex Box Stadium or Burbank Drive close to LSU stop on in and satisfy your hunger they’ll have something on the menu to fill you up…
