The staff was great and the breakfast was very yummy. I liked the shower head in the bathroom, I’m on the tall side and hate banging my head on the showers. My complaint would be the paper thin walls, which is common in hotels. I could hear every detail of my neighbors phone conversations, which got awkward and kept me up. Other than that the place was well kept and nice.

I have been staying at this hotel for the last five years. At first things were always great. In the last two years staffing has changed, quality lowered, and pricing raised. The front desk staff is rude, especially if you interrupt their personal cell phone usage, for them to do their job. I was told that I shouldn’t complain because I used Marriott points to pay for my room, instead of money. There are better hotels, with friendlier staffs and better prices.

This hotel was decent enough, even if the one thing I remember most was about cold its pool was. On our trip of ten hotels, this was the only one to not feature a gym, so I was hoping to stretch a bit in the water. I can tolerate coolness to a certain extent, but this more than broke that barrier. On the other hand, when we complain about the smoke smell in our room, staff quickly reassigned us, without arguing, and the breakfast buffet was intelligently set up. So, if you’re looking for a place to rest your head without necessarily having a lot of frills, you could do worse.

Excellent hotel. We came with our hockey team. They gave us a group rate. They were very nice and extremely accommodating. We took over their breakfast area and lobby multiple times with no problem and no fee. Free continental breakfast and a standard noon check out. Clean rooms. Nice pool area. Located next to the mall, Target, restaurants. free wi-fi.

Disclosure: I used my Marriott points to stay free for two nights. I do not know the normal price of the room, but I’m pretty sure it was under $ 100 per night. Clean lobby, breakfast area, hallways and rooms. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and efficient. Hotel is close to the Bay City Mall, plus a number of restaurants(Bob Evans, Red Lobster, Harvey’s, etc). Our room had a fridge and microwave, but they were free-standing(vs inside the TV cabinet) so I don’t know if they were specially added to our room or a normal part of the décor. Free breakfast is included each morning. They have all the regulars — cereal, fruit, yogurt, you-make Belgian waffles, etc.

The rooms were clean and the service was great… good value for $ 120/night.
