hands down the best nail salon I’ve ever been to. as a person who works in the beauty industry I must say they are extremely clean and always use new tools and even put the clear bag in the foot tub so your feet never actually touch it. they take their time and always give you exactly what you want. Mae the owner is a sweet heart and everyone that works for her is great. I’ve been a loyal client since I was 10 years old. their service and space is beyond what a person could ask for!

I’ve been going here and seeing Joy for over one year. The place is sparling clean which is one of my number one musts for a nail salon. They have all new equipment. The staff are all friendly and attentive. I am so happy too with my results designs they can do that I want on my nails. Never a problem or question. All the colors to choose from make you soo happy. I also have to say the leg and hand and neck massages are so good and relaxing. They don’t watch the clock and rush you. I can’t stand being rushed. The manager is just a sweetheart of a lady and will even make you a coffee or tea if you life. I recommend my friends and family also to go here. My wallet isn’t bleeding after coming and they give you a punch card so after ten times you get a free manicure. I highly recommend New Gold and all the staff for anyone looking for a top notch place in Bay Ridge.

I’m sure this place is nice but unfortunately I had the WORST experience with a woman named MAGGIE which has made me never want to step foot in this establishment EVER AGAIN. I mean, why would I when we live in NEW YORK CITY with TRILLIONS of nail shops scattered about every borough — why should I have to deal with the nasty and rude attitude that I received from MAGGIE my nail lady?
…So where do I begin about the service I got. I came in for a $ 20.00 manicure/​pedicure because «Angel» across the street was unfortunately a little too busy and a little too hot inside the store. Everything was fine but I noticed when MAGGIE started cleaning my feet she was going a bit faster than what is customary for pedicures. I have no clue why she felt the need to be a speed racer when the place was almost empty. What are you rushing for? But BECAUSE of her careless rushing my left BIG TOE started BLEEDING. After I noticed blood coming from my big toe she said to me, «It’s no big deal. I’ll get some antiseptic.»
…Manicure: Her attitude was atrocious the entire time. She started huffing under her breathe when I decide that I didn’t want the particular color I wanted. Again, the entire store was empty. After you cut my toe open the least I would expect is less attitude. I had to instruct 3 – 4 times to file my nails down evenly. Why are my nails uneven looking? If I wanted uneven looking nails than I would have just stayed home and not spent $ 20.00.
Anyways…most likely never coming back here. Most likely going back across the street. I would rather spend an extra $ 6.00 than have to deal with this. Again, I’m sure NEW GOLD NAIL SPA is a great establishment but the particular worker I received MAGGIE did not leave me with a good experience.

Great place great price. Angel nails can keep their business. They took me in half hour before close and we’re happy to do my nails. Angel said no. We are closed. Glad I came in. 20 for mani pedi

They have great service and are friendly. They did a great job with the acrylic, got a hand and back massage too. I will definitely come back again.

After my regular nail place closed, and I tried a few terrible nail salons in the Bay Ridge area like Top Amy’s or good but really expensive places like Angel Gift… I am so grateful I tried New Gold. Mani Pedi was $ 20…there were way too many colors to choose from, and the nail polishes looked in good shape. (I hate when they add nail polish remover to extend the life of old nail polish.) My manicurist was Bella, and with a very short wait for a Friday afternoon (5 minutes) I was set up and ready to go. There’s a lot of nice little touches that made the mani-​pedi worth more then than $ 20 I paid. Bella painted one toenail with the color I chose and then verified with me that I liked it. Her leg and hand massage were top notch… not like the quick ones they give you half-​heartedly at other places. And when I made a sound (because she was massaging my arch in a way that felt divine) she cared enough to ask if she hurt me. Add on the paraffin heel treatment, and you get great service for a low price. The place looked pretty clean, still newish looking with no tears on the massage chairs, and the chairs all seemed to be working.
