Anderson’s was recommended by my mother-in-law(who, if you know her, is a crazy perfectionist) who said their prices were always fair and they were fast workers. I was hesitant to even contact them because I could just imagine what it would cost to remove five 40ft maple maple trees, but I really needed to get them out because they were on the west side of the house, blocking the sun to my vegetable garden, two were very close to the house and during big storms, were dropping large branches on my roof, and because I wanted to do a dwarf fruit orchard there next year. But I went ahead and called them, and even though I couldn’t be there for the quote, they left it in the mailbox. I was BLOWNAWAY by the prices(about $ 400 per tree). I immediately made an appointment, they came ahead of schedule, even in the rain, and by the time they were finished, I realized they had taken down a sixth, dead tree that wasn’t even part of the quote but I was very glad to see go. They also cut down a few 15ft tall maples between the large ones that I was going to do myself. They were super professional, polite, and fast! I went to pick up cash from the bank for 15 minutes and when I got back, they had already taken one down. I was so amazed I called my husband to rave about them. They also know their stuff – there were several trees with large branches overhanging the neighbor’s yard, and they took them down and into my yard without an issue. I didn’t ask for stump grinding and they carted away the branches, I kept the trunks which they cut for me to log length to keep for firewood. I thought the BESTTHING they did was, as they were about to take down the tree next to my house that borders the neighbor’s driveway, they knocked on my door(after trying and failing to make contact with my neighbors) to show me the pictures of the neighbor’s car which had broken windows to begin with. They timestamped it, and emailed it to me in case our neighbors tried to say we were the ones who broke their car window. I have another property that I am having them do on the 20th, where they will be taking down a a monster dead tree(about 3 ft in diameter), two smaller dead trees, and trimming another large one. The quote was just as awesome. I have been recommending them to our students who were lamenting about their tree cutting needs(we run a martial arts school in the area) and they too, were pleasantly surprised.
