Frank’s Barber Shop

I’ve gotten my hair cut here probably 100 times. Have gotten a shave here probably at least a dozen times. Hot lather from the machine and a straight edge razor shave. Frank is your average Joe and quite a funny guy. Always used to talk with him and share laughs. I miss the old console tv but it broke at least 10 years ago. Anyway, I would get my hair cut there when we went to visit my parents in Bayonne. But since my mom passed away and my dad retired in Vegas there is no longer a reason to go to Bayonne. For the drive there and turnpike tolls it’s just not convenient for me. Frank told me that if he had to do it all over again he would still be a barber. When he was young and graduated from high school his father told him he had a choice of going to college or learn to be a barber. His grandfather was a barber and taught young Frank what he does so well today in his senior years.

Chose this place based on other reviews and definitely regret my decision. I requested a plain buzz cut and hot shave. But all I got was a scraggly hair cut and a bloody neck (Frank literally scraped a 50 cent piece area off my neck). He noticed he cut me up and slapped on some aftershave and peroxide and said I’ll be fine. WTF. I didn’t realize it was that bad until I got home where I had to buzz my head lower (because my hair was so uneven) my self and medicated my wounds. And to add insult to injury it cost me twenty bucks!
Bottom line, I will not be going back to Franks, ever.
