Wow, was totally surprised by how big this place is. Great place to come catch a sports game with their 30+ TVs and a crazy long bar. Staff is extremely friendly and drinks and really well priced. Food is typical bar food but does the job. There really isn’t a Safari theme, and it’s kind of divey, but it’s okay, it’s a cool place to grab a drink and watch some games. I will be back. Look for Mack, awesome bartender.

So I gave them 2 stars because the music was good and the bouncer was a nice guy even the bartenders were great but the ambiance is a little awkward. There wings look appetizing but there a little dry. I honestly don’t think I’ll be back unless it’s a last resort.

The staff was rude and extremely unprofessional! One of the bouncers in particular was aggressive and condescending for no given reason. Think they get a thrill out of disrespecting their customers and then laughing about it among themselves. Avoid this place!

this place enjoys ignoring customers when they ask for a check. they also love mocking customers when a complaint is made to a «manager» about poor customer service. they indulge in activities such as calling customers racist and sexist slurs and really enjoy ignoring the fact that they do so. if you want to be ignored and discriminated against, or really want to have your bartender roll her eyes when you ask for a drink then this bar is the place for you! I hope you enjoy watching your bartender take selfies with customers for over ten minutes as well. it’s a real treat. forced to give one star in order to leave this comment but they really do not deserve to be a business. this was my first time here and to be called a c*nt for asking a question is uncalled for and unnecessary. please avoid this place at all costs. they are many other bars and restaurants on the strip where people welcome you and embrace diversity.

Came here last night to catch game 1 of the Mets and Royals World Series, I’m a sucker for wings where the meat falls off the bone and SBC is not the place to get them. We got the wings platter which comes with options of 45 wings and 3 sauces, we got hot, bbq and Jack Daniels sauces, the best of the three was the JD sauce but even though the sauces were a hit the wings were hard to bite into, perfect size not too big and not too small. The hit of the night was the SBC fries, loaded fries with bacon and cheese with creamy ranch dip sauce. We arrived just in time for the game and SBC was not full, service was great until it got packed, it will take forever for us to get a refill of our drinks. Our server noticed that she hasn’t been to our table and after that she was on top of refilling our drinks. I believe this was Johnny Famous back in the day.

I’m really curious about the negative reviews; either things have changed for SBC, or I’ve been lucky every time. First off, the place is HUGE. There are 3.5 bars(one when you walk in, one in the back right and two smaller ones, which is why I say 3.5) and an absurd number of televisions, which means football Sunday = a great day here. For those complaining about the wings. I don’t get it. The wings were always pretty healthy in size and the sauces were on point. Word of advice though: stay away from the teriyaki. Whatever you do, don’t order the teriyaki. Unless your passion is having wings drenched in what I can only describe as sauce that comes from a bottle labeled«SALTYAS F — ,» I would not order it. Instead, go with the honey BBQ, the hot, the mild(if you’re a baby) and the Parmesan garlic(you won’t be making out with anyone though). You won’t find any real specials on Sunday, which is a shame since several of the neighboring spots have quarter wings and beer specials, but the quality and level of service make up for that in spades. But that’s why I only gave 4 stars. They do a three wing sampler, which is 10×3 wings in your choice of sauces, and it’s a great money saver if you and your friend(s) are starving. The beer selection, while not massive, is definitely respectable and the bartenders are all pretty awesome people and/or easy on the eyes so… that’s always a plus. The SBC fries are killer if you don’t care about your life as you get a huge plate of fries covered in cheese in bacon(guys, the cheese needs to actually be melted!) After Conga’s next door closed down(always pay your taxes, people!), my friends and I were desperate for a new sports bar, and SBC won us over. It’s not the cheapest, but it’s pretty great.

Ive been here a couple of times(not sure why). The drinks are bad, atmosphere is weird & so is the crowd. Ive never actually really had a good time here. The place is pretty big & has potential but theres something missing.

This place was pretty awesome. I had such a great time! This is the first bar I’ve been to where I can absolutely say that the bartender was outstandingly nice and the drinks were not watered down so that was cool. The dance floor was kinda small but even the atmosphere was very chill. While I was on the dance floor, I would constantly get bumped into and everyone would always apologize. If I was to get bumped into at a bar in Queens, I woulda probably got punched in the face. I don’t give 5 stars being that the music was terrible. The drinks were what actually made me actually bump a little to the music. DJ, step your game up. If I could, I’d give the bartender 100 stars(She was just that awesome).

Fourth of July 2015 this sports bar was dead but the staff are very accommodating and welcoming to my party of two. A combined sports bar and live entertainment with the elements of TVs, pool tables, bowling alley game. Space is available for dancing to geriatric rock n roll cover bands. Safari Beach’s website has a calendar that lists all cover bands playing as well as their time slot. Select nights there is a DJ pivoting the music. Safari Beach has Happy Hour on select nights with«Ladies Night» themes or other activities. Theme to a beach setting with beach-like names for drinks and food menu. This business is actually dead as patrons go to a real beach. They have a blender to accommodate a non-alcoholic drink, Virgin Piña Colada without alcohol due to my recent MAJOR surgery I am still on medication. Our party of two ordered: BBQ Beach Wrap with French Fries $ 6.95 Macho Nachos $ 12.00(vegetable chips by Terra Chips) served on a triangle plate Food is average and nothing that sparks my interest– 2 stars, but the drinks and entertainment are worth a visit– 4 stars. Customer service is attentive– 4 stars. The bar tender was nice who enable me to gain power for my cell phone from all the picture taking.

Love the atmosphere here. It feels like it’s a bar located on a beach. Which is perfect given its name. There was a band playing when my friend and I went on a Saturday afternoon so we sat at a table near the door so we could hear each other. We ordered the fish tacos and the Safari Seafood Sampler — 12 clams, 12 oysters, 12 shrimp. I loved the tacos and the oysters(which were huge, and the bigger the oyster, the better, according to me). However, the shrimp wasn’t fresh, and for that, I’ve got to dock the stars.

I really want to give no stars. I’ve been coming to this place since it was the crazy moose, ok so basically its just the same bar as it was back in the day with a few disappointments. So the bouncers think they are gods & give everyone an attitudes as you walk in. Oh btw havent gotten a buy back since johnny famous, sorry your in bayside queens not Manhattan. It does still have the very young & immature feels to it as it always has. This is no place for older people in their 30’s. Food is «eh», crowd is loud, music is horrible. A adult night time day care center i would avoid.

This place is a LOT larger on the inside than it looks from the outside! On a regular night, it’s a casual place to grab some food and drinks with a friend. Ladies Night on Wednesdays are a completely different story, though. This is where people come to get ratchet. Buying a $ 5 wristband will get women free drinks from 8pm until 1am. If you see two small Asian girls going all-out on the dance floor, that’s probably me and my friend. DJ Ricketz(who spins hard EDM) is overqualified to play at Safari Beach Club, and he’s the only reason I’ll keep coming back. Otherwise, the crowd gets pretty trashy and that really turns me off.

Looks very small from the outside, but once you go in the space is huge and has a good chill vibe. The servers are very friendly and attentive. We sat by the bar and even though there is a decent amount of people, we didn’t have to wait long to be served. Tried the steak which was on the chewy side, I wouldn’t necessarily get it again but I like this spot and would come back to get something else. The fried calamari was good, nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Also, I have to mention that they have beer pong tables. What a throwback, brings me back to my college days. When you are with a group of people, why would you pass up the chance to play? Just make sure you come early enough so you can snag a table. Overall a good time. It is great for groups, cool vibe, great dj, friendly staff, decent food, and last but not the least drinks!

Hate to love you Safari but love you I do. You are always a blast. Your bartender Adam is a SWEETHEART. Although so is the rest of the staff. You can always count on them for a good chat or to make you laugh. Good beer selection, tons of TVs, always a party. Nice long bar so you can always find a way to get a drink. A fun place to watch a sports game and do some Jameson shots. Recently came earlier in the evening to see a local band and the sound was great, lights were cool, and lots of room to dance. Everyone seemed to be having a good time of all ages. I’ll be back, Adam, I WILLCOMEBACKFORYOUUUU *heart heart heart*

On a snowy Saturday night around 11 pm, this place was empty, which was pretty surprising, as from my experiences, Safari usually has very busy weekends. A large variety of beers on tap. I’m not a big drinker in general, and I happened to be the driver that night, so I just had a Hoegaarden. Can’t go wrong with that. Loll My friends each had like 2 – 3 beers. We didn’t order any food though; we decided to go to either Press or Bourbon Street for food. DJ was playing good beats and there was a nice vibe inside. People seemed to be enjoying themselves and having fun, either dancing or watching sports on the many tv’s in the bar area. Not bad.

I stopped in here Friday afternoon with a few co-workers. We all really, really liked it here! I came here during happy hour, and we were the only few people in here, so I cannot speak for their nightlife or for how they operate when the crowds come pouring in… but here it what I can say: The wait-staff(who seemed like they might have owned this place?) were PHENOMENAL, and other wait staff need to start taking lessons from them. Beyond patient, helpful, courteous, social, charismatic, and sweet. We had ten people in our party and they split all of our checks(we all had cards) WITHOUT rolling their eyes… can you imagine?! We were met with smiles, laughs, and high fives from the two servers as soon as we walked in. Anyone who joined our party later in the evening was immediately taken care of. Service is everything to me, this place has EXCELLENT service. I love the ambiance here. Clean restrooms, lots of colored lights, huge TV screens, nice long bar with tables in the back. It looks like there was maybe a stage in the back of the place? We only ordered bar food and drinks, but this was all great! My friend ordered a «dirty martini»(she loves olives), and actually got two martinis out of the shaker for a mere $ 5.00! She claimed that the martinis were excellent. As for bar food, they have a huge selection of food. In addition, LARGE and I mean LARGE platters of different types of samplers for a very very cheap price! I really wanted to try a dinner, but was not all that hungry, so I will definitely be back for that! I ordered the beach fries and boneless wings tossed in a garlic sauce. This is the only place that did NOT skimp on wings! I must have had like 20 wings in a huge bowl for a very low price, believe it was around $ 8.00. However, I was pretty disappointed in the beach fries. If you know me as a foodie, I am a truffle oil fanatic. I love it. The beach fries were supposed to come with truffle oil on them and I could not taste it. Some friends thought they tasted«hints» of it. Also, it said my choice of a dip, but I was not offered a dip. The rest of the bar food was great. All in all, because of the vast number of places in the city and Queens I usually do not do repeat visits. However, I MUST come back here to try dinner and see what the late night scene is like! So excited!

I went to SBC to support my friend with her guest bartender competition last night. She had such a good turn out with the people who supported her. She did a good job turning out the drinks & food as quick as possible. This place is getting two stars based on service & food!!! I ordered happy hour apps(starts at 4pm). I got fried calamari & baked clams. The calamari came out with cocktail sauce, um did I order shrimp or nah?! The incredible amount of sodium that I tasted made me feel like I was eating a salt lick. It’s like the cook said I don’t care if she gets high blood pressure but serve this to her anyway & I pray she doesn’t send it back. The baked clams were no better! The breadcrumb tasted like burnt old chips. The clam was gooey. There’s no way this is a raw/seafood bar when they are serving 92 year old seafood… YUCK!!! My bff even made a comment that there was a strange stench. This may be TMI but she said it smelled like sh*t. I was approached by Jeanie(a bartender) who asked if I needed anything else. I screwed up my face. She asked me, «why the face?» I told her the apps were not good at all. She said, «No worries I’ll take it off the bill let me just tell the manager.» I was grateful she did. The manager came over and apologized for the food. She told me any food I ordered would be on her. That was really nice of her but the food sucked.
