I give this hotel 4 stars because I had absolutely no major issues and the hotel is exactly as described online. The location was convenient for my 2 night stay and is close to a variety of restaurants, pharmacy, gas station and of course the freeway. I stayed in room 107 with a King size bed, mini fridge with separate small freezer, microwave and coffee maker. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The room includes breakfast which consists of fresh waffles, muffins, danishes, cereal, bagels, yogurt and fruit. The hotel also has a small store area with microwave food items and other items. The room had excellent air conditioning and is well insulated against traffic noise. This hotel received 4⁄5 stars based on the early housekeeping start which was disruptive to sleep through. The housekeepers were very loud and talkative, they could of been a bit more respectful of sleeping guests. This occurred both mornings. This hotel is appropriately priced.

Ummm. so. This is what happened. I had a reservation at another location, much closer to Houston and I was using points to get the room free for 2 nights. Just as we happen to enter the Houston city limits, I get a phone call from LQ saying that they overbooked our original hotel, but would offer us a room here completely free of charge. They said it’s a little further out than we were originally supposed to be, but free! So, we took it. We arrive, and it’s not a little further out. it’s waaay the heck out. The area is not cute either. They have a lot of eateries and a mall nearby, but it’s just aesthetically not good. So, we check in with the friendly gal who seemed unsure if my room would be free or not. Um, better be! So I called their call center and was assured it was. I check in the room, and it’s so outdated. The room was hot, we had to turn up the air and leave for a bit while it cooled down, it was so uncomfy. We came back up and unpacked, then we notice what looks like splatters of blood on the mirror! We freak out and start packing. I called the front desk and they ran up to investigate. Then they say. it’s rust. AND the rust spots been there for 6 years! WHAT? They can’t replace the mirror that I’ve seen at Walmart for $ 5 in 6 years? Wow. Times is rough, I guess. We got a new room, which was outdated. but spotless, and a little nicer. Not a lot, but just a tad. The breakfast the following morning was basic, but I appreciated it being there. The waffles were good. The lady who sets out the breakfast was laying down, feet up on the couch in the lobby! LOL! But she was friendly. The staff here was overall very friendly. Because of how old and run down the place is, I probably won’t stay here again if I had to pay… but I appreciated the free room for the weekend.
