My wife and I had the best experience today working with Mike Fermin and the rest of Stokes Brown Toyota of Beaufort. If you want to work with a real guy and cut the BS tell Mike Brad sent you.

Do not trust this place! I got an estimate for a repair here, and one from Chatham parkway Toyota and there was a huge difference! When questioned as to why the large price increase to the same parts and service they first had no clue. When I called to speak with a manager, I was told there was not a manager in charge!?! When the insurance company demanded an Explanation, they suddenly had a manager and realized it was an addition error??? They padded the repair price! Warning especially to all military! They will pad the price!

I’ve tried and tried so hard to like this place. The only person I can truly say that helped me was Matt. Our salesman. Other than that it’s the service department that sucks. They did my maintenance for the free maintenance program. When I came to me doing my own oil change I looked under the car only to find the oil filter door missing. What could I do? I know they would have told me it was fell while I was driving. One day I’m washing my car I realize one of my wheel locks are missing. They were the last ones to touch my car!!! I check the surrounding lug nuts and I kid you not, they were finger tight. I honestly can not believe I didn’t get into an accident. Almost a year goes by and I need new tires installed. I go to the dealership ONLY because I thought they would take care of the wheels I have installed because they are a expensive type. Forged with a nice special finish. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Scratched my wheels. Completely made a mess of my wheels. It took me 2 hours to detail all for wheels. I gave them clean wheels they gave me scratches and dirty wheels. I talked to the service manager and he could not guarantee a fix. They don’t understand. So if you feel for your life or your family I would stay away from service department. Toyota are the best cars our there but their mechanics aren’t. Unfortunately, I still need to go back for maintenance items.

Never again will I trust Stokes Brown Toyota … the car I bought from them last year for $ 16,000, they now say is only worth $ 9,000 in trade, because of a few scratches. They will probably retort this review by stating a negative review of my cars condition, so hopefully I can post pics of the car to show its condition. In reply to Mr Blume: Mr Blume, I appreciate your reply to my review and your offer, but doing it right the first time is always the course of action. My desire for a different vehicle was emotionally based, and not out of necessity, as was my last purchase. Therefore, our business transactions have come to an end. I suggest in a town full of loyal customers, friends and Marines, and, in these days of instant internet reviews, your Company’s sales methods focus equally on the customer’s value as much as your required price points.

My husband and I recently moved to Beaufort and were looking for a new car. We have always had Toyotas so when we found Stokes Brown Toyota nearby we were excited to start our hunt there. We met Alan Fox and quickly felt comfortable. We purchased a new Toyota Tacoma just before Thanksgiving. We advised we would be looking for a used car as a first car for our daughter. This is where we thought we would develop a long time business relationship. As a returning customer we felt we would be treated right. We stopped by about 3 weeks later and test drove two used Camries. The second car had been test driven by a couple while we were there. My husband made it very clear we would not test drive or consider that car unless the couple couldn’t agree on it. Within about 30 minutes we were told the couple«wasn’t ready to pull the trigger». We test drove the car and began negotiating the price and going over the car history. We asked for a brief opportunity to discuss between us the sale with no pressure. When the manager, Sean, came back he informed us the car was sold. Apparently the previous couple called back to take the car. This was how they treated a returning customer. They have no policy in place that if you are in negotiations for a vehicle it is not for sale to anyone else until you decide leave with it or without it. The car was sold out from under us. What a waste of our valuable time. We walked out. My husband called back for a manager, Shep, to complain. He said they sell if given an offer rather than miss an opportunity to move a car. Then he wanted to know how to make it right to earn our business back. The nerve to even ask how he could«make it right». We will never be back. BUYERBEWARE!!!

I’ve known the people of Stokes Brown for many Years Now. As a Marine Being stationed at the Air Station years ago My Marines and I were always treated with respect and care. After leaving The Corps I’ve had the privilege of seeing many people get great service and fair pricing. The service is a special factor for My Wife and I. That is why we Buy from Stokes-Brown and even get vehicles purchased from other places before serviced there.

Archie Brown sold my mother a used car with a clean, no accident carfax(which they provided as a sales tool) at full kbb retail. What Archie declined to tell my mom was that it was in a collision with passengers taken by ambulance to hospital. This was on the carchex auto report that conveniently Stokes Brown doesn’t use. When I asked Archie Brown about it, he denied any knowledge of it. When I did further research I found out the collision damage was actually fixed by Stokes Brown dealership! This was fraudulent. I caught him in a lie & he wrote my mom a check to buy the car back after I suggested we go to an attorney. Unfortunately she had to put thousands of dollars already in repairs to the lemon he had sold her, so his gesture was too little too late, and only to save himself litigation he would lose. Buyer Beware!

Decent place to buy a car but great place to get maintenance done. Friendly, fast service at a good price. They helped me out a few times.
