I worked the event, my first small time job after my move to Portland. Best job I’ve ever had! Great people to work for and great experience overall. I highly recommend this to anyone into cheeky horror and a night out in the woods!

Great Horror Campout — Portland was a blast! It was definitely worth the $ 99 I spent for admission. I was hoping for more startle and maybe more terror, but it was a great time, nonetheless. Pro’s: actors were fun and occasionally helpful except for one hillbilly actor, clues led to SCAG items or out of captive situations if you studied them and have decent recall, there is ALWAYS a way out of any situation you find yourself in. Con’s: one hillbilly was unnecessarily rude(repeatedly), not enough time for the Hell hunt due to other mandatory events during the same time frame, some of the level ones were only obtainable by beating out 40+ other campers, cheating was far too prevalent, especially when we were warned you’d be dq’d if you cheated. Some of the finalists in the last round were dumber than my shoe and never could have made it that far without having cheated. Next year, I will know what to do first!

This was so much fun! Really glad they came to Portland, the venue was excellent, minus a few thorny weeds(I wore shorts, so wear long pants). Everything was fun, some things were more challenging than others. if you want to win you might have to ditch your friends and go alone to collect everything you will need. Hilarious commentary throughout the night. the actors were AMAZING!!! I will definitely be going again.
