Legacy-GoHealth Urgent Care – Cedar Hills

I love running and I love playing tennis. So when I slipped down a couple of stairs in my socks and hit the top of my toes on the bottom step I knew that I did some damage… the question became, did I break my toes and had to give up my «loves» for weeks, or did I just bruise the heck out of them and would be able to take some Advil and suck it up in a couple of
I had two choices… either head to the ER and wait around on a Saturday night to get an x-​ray to find out if my toe is broken or try out the Legacy Urgent Care on Cedar Hills.
When I got to the Urgent Care, I was pleasantly greeted and told that there was one person ahead of me waiting to go into an exam room. I took a seat in the clean, sparse lobby/​waiting room and waited about 20 mins and then my information was taken. I was shown into an exam room and waited another 10 minutes for the doctor to come in. He was very nice and spent about 5 minutes with me before having his assistant (same one from front desk) take me to the x-​ray room for films. She took 4 photos and they were developed right then. I went back to the exam room for another 10 minutes and the doctor came in to let me know that there was no break, just a bone bruise. After inquiring about my pain level, I left with two taped toes and advice to ease back into exercise in about a week.
Overall, an easy visit that took about an hour out of my weekend… definitely better than any ER!
