Vegetarians beware. The miso soup is not vegetarian and there is likely meat in your veggie dish. Very disappointed when I ordered a veggie tempura roll and veggie tofu plate, the roll had fish eggs on it. Cross contamination from another roll served on the same plate. As a vegetarian, this is unacceptable. Meat/fish and veggie rolls go on separate plates and should be prepared with dedicated veggie only work surfaces. The service was lousy. I was only informed that my miso had meat in it when I complained about the fish eggs on my veggie roll. The food I did eat was heavily salted and tasted like a microwaved meal. I won’t ever eat here again.

The food is good but the service is glacial… took 15 minutes after being seated to when they brought water and took our order.

I went to Mio Sushi for lunch this afternoon due to it being very close and convenient. I heard that the place was usually pretty busy for lunchtime, but I must have caught them on an off day because there were hardly any people in the restaurant. I placed a to-go order and got my food in about 5 minutes and was out the door. My food was good, seemed to be made well, and was reasonably priced. I have absolutely no complaints. I wasn’t absolutely blown away, but I would eat here again.

Worst mio sushi I’ve ever had. Try a different branch of your thinking of going here. Burning hot sushi and hard rice is not a pleasant thing.

I’ve been a customer of Mio Sushi for almost 25 years. I’ve brought lots of people to their various locations and I’ve always thought their food was good but today, I was extremely irritated as after a nice workout at 24 hr. Fitness next door, I went to the one in Beaverton at «the round» looking forward to a relaxing lunch. I walked in at 2:17 and they immediately told me that they would only give me a «to go» order and all I could order there and eat there was a cup of Miso soup because they close at 2:30 :(. I’m not about to try to eat sushi while driving around in my car, so that didn’t do me any good at all. Good for a diet but bad for business. I had a cup of miso and left and told the waitress I’ll never come back after being treated so poorly. They lost a customer for today and they lost a «long time» customer forever. I might be off on proper etiquette but if you walk in a restaurant 15 minutes before they close, you should be able to order something and eat it there. In general, it’s so irritating when a restaurant is closed for only one hour in the afternoon because unless you know that hour, if you’ve planned your day around going there, it completely messes up your plans.

This particular Mio is located in Beaverton’s «The Circle.» It has condos on top of the building, with restaurants on the bottom and the Max going by it. Mio Sushi is a good place to go to for standard sushi. Not too cheap in quality, but not overly expensive either. I would say they’re a step or two above conveyor belt sushi places. As long as you get that, you won’t be disappointed here. I’ve never had bad service from the few times I’ve been here. At the most, I go here once a year. This restaurant also has neat dipping sauce trays, where they’re split in the middle if you care about that kind of thing.

This is an a-ok place. It’s got two tv screens showing things about the restaurant and/or things with cartoons and animals. It’s kind of weird but fine. It’s in some Beaverton-y place called The Circle. I passed by a dude in an office who may have been a «security» guy. He was sound asleep in a recliner-like desk chair. It was kind of weird. Anyway, back to the restaurant. Things are always fairly reliable at Mio Sushi locations. I have had sashimi at many sushi places around the metro area, and Mio is reliable. The fish cuts(especially tuna and salmon) are a bit thin, but the prices are on the low side, too. Moreover, the sashimi platter comes with rice(kind of odd, but… fine) and a miso soup. It’s a pretty good deal for under $ 20. This particular visit, I ran out of water once. During a key wasabi-consuming part of the evening, too. And after we paid the bill but sat there awhile, they cleared the soy sauces away and picked up the check, but we eventually left because we were thirsty(i.e. out of water again). I get it. They’ve paid. Done. But it wasn’t close to closing, so there was no reason not to refill our waters. But that wasn’t a big deal. The water part during the actual meal and the fine and dandy portions/prices are why this place is A-OK(but not much higher). It was clean, though, which is nice.

While I love the food prepared here I have to ding the review based on the atmosphere. I’d really prefer to eat my meal without the hip hop rap music prominently featuring obscene lyrics. Get a clue, people!

The food took so long to get. I went with my brother and I assume that they didn’t take us seriously because we look like a kid? It took us a while to order. We ordered the kyu ramen, an appetizer and 3 different sushi. The kyu ramen came out first. It was good. But the appitizer still wasn’t out. I waited another 20 minutes till I got my appitizer, then another 10 minutes for the sushi. We had to flag them down, and asked them how much longer. We’ve been there for an hour now. When we asked how much longer, she went back to the bar and came back immediately with the food??? Like okay how long has that been sitting there? This was a waste of time and I definitely will not come back because of the slow food. I personally don’t like it when it takes longer than 30 minutes to get my food.

Excellent selection of sushi, appetizers, and desserts. I am particularly impressed with the number of vegetarian rolls to choose from. Always well made and delicious. Service is friendly and attentive; they consistently made sure our beverages were filled. Happy hour choices are fantastic. My friend got the vanilla fried ice cream and it was the bomb dot com. This location gets one star taken off only because it is a little cramped on the inside and the parking situation is not the best, especially in the evening because the lots are shared with other businesses and apartment complexes.

Been here twice. The first time, it was basically empty — only one other table. I came by myself because I wanted a relaxing dinner to read a book & just be alone after a crappy day at work. So I wasn’t in the biggest of hurries. I had to get up to ask for a menu. Same thing with water. Had to flag them down when I was ready to order & the same thing when I needed refills on my water. The food I thought was excellent & because of that I overlooked how shitty the service was. Since the food was delicious, I decided to give it another try. This time there were 6 of us. The restaurant was a little bit busier but not packed by any means. They gave us 3 menus total. I had to get up to ask for waters for all of us. Then after we’d been sitting there for 20 minutes with our menus down while 4 waitresses literally stood in a circle chatting, I finally got up AGAIN to tell them we were ready to order. Our food came out in shifts. Not short normal shifts… Like 15 minutes between my friends bento & yakisoba order & the sushi orders. Then literally crickets… No service whatsoever once our food was delivered. Luckily there was a service cart sitting behind us that had a bunch of supplies on it(water pitcher, napkins, chopsticks, forks etc) that we helped ourselves to since the service was ABSOLUTELYHORRENDOUS. Then to top off the shittiest service ever, when we got our checks, they had added in a 20% gratuity. I went up to the counter & asked to see a menu… Which they wouldn’t give to me. Then I saw my «server» & I told her that I needed to see a menu because of the gratuity included. She said«it’s house policy» about 5 times & refused to show me a menu. I told her that if she couldn’t prove that it was written on their menu that gratuity was included it was illegal for them to charge gratuity. She got really defensive buuut in the end they took it off. I was thinking they gave us such shitty service because they knew they’d be getting 20% tips either way, but after seeing these other reviews on here, I think they just have TERRIBLE service in general. The food is delicious though so I would still go back, but never with a group bigger than 5& I would try to come on days when it’s not as busy — or just hit up their happy hour because their prices are pretty high. Went back again — they now have a printed off sheet of paper on the wall stating that they have a 20% gratuity for groups of 6& up. This is a franchise… I wonder if this has been approved? Hmmm

It was good. Sushi was good, service was good. I did like the plate they served all the sushi on, but it did make it a little confusing as to what was what.

I’m on a sushi kick and it’s Mio. If you have been to their other locations in, you are in for the same ride. Good quality sushi at a price. Not as pricey as others in town, but I can point out a few other places that are as good without the tag. The service was alright, but nothing outstanding on this visit to make me bump it up a star.

This is her only sushi place I’ve been to while visiting Oregon and I like it. I ordered the, a go dragon, banzai, and something else as well as three types of ramen. It definitely hits the spot though the rolls could be more flavorful, some of the rolls were a little bland. Customer service is great, they are very attentive and quick to get your food and drinks. I would visit again and maybe try different rolls.

This place is great! First Mio sushi I’ve been too and I’m in love. I’ve been here twice– first at lunch right when they opened and second during a busy dinner rush. Both times service was quick, friendly, and knowledgable. The sushi is made to order, and comes beautifully displayed. Not to mention delicious! My boyfriend especially enjoyed the large variety of eel rolls. We already have plans to come back for more. Great job mio, this location rocks!
