Pretty good 3 ½ stars. They brought out fresh chips and salsa and white sauce. Salsa was kinda bland but white sauce was flavorful. Got the queso dip which was typical, and the guac which was ok. My husband had fish tacos which he said were really good, my daughter got the beef fajita, there were a lot of veggies and not as much meat as we r used to seeing. Taste was good but ended up leaving a lot of veggies. I got the mushroom onion and bean quesadilla which was great. They use fresh mushrooms which I love! The roasted onions added a ton of flavor. My other daughter kept having trouble with her meal and had to have it sent back twice, first time was the wrong kind of taco and then second time when they corrected it, they brought back the taco but without the side(which was there when we sent the taco back). I had the presidential? margarita, it was awesome and definitely recommend. The prices here are super reasonable. So I recommend!

This place has improved 100%. Had chicken fajitas and the husband had a T-bone steak. My fajitas and strawberry margarita were perfect. My husband said his t-bone was better flavored than the steakhouses in town. Great service. Left super full and happy!

Go here! I know the Marriott properties are closer to those chain restaurants, but you won’t regret the extra 2 minute walk. Good chips and salsa — great margaritas. I had enchiladas revolucion — I love a salsa verde! Kid friendly and great service. Faster than the competition and yummier — for less money!

We really enjoyed dinner here during a recent girls trip. The salsa is a little spicy, but the vegetarian combo appetizer plate was delicious. Recommended!

Went to this place after bad reviews about Outback and we were pleasantly surprised. We were seated promptly on a Friday night and everyone was nice and super professional. The place is really nice inside with tons of booths. The lighting was a little bright at our table, but it really wasn’t an issue. I got a tall Dos Equis and my girlfriend had a peach daiquiri, which she said was«strong» They brought chips, salsa and some white stuff over to our table right as we sat down. We thought the white stuff was cheese, but it wasn’t… so we passed on that. We had the steak super burrito and a shrimp and cheese quesadilla and they were great. The quesadilla was not on the menu, but they had no problem with a special order. All that for $ 35 and the service was stellar. Would definitely come back.

The family was in town for a ski trip. I did not have high expectations for food in the area. We actually chose this restaurant because of a bad review on google. That being said, this place is amazing. It was very clean, well organized, the service staff were all professional went out of the way to make sure everything was as it should be. Everything tasted amazingly fresh and delicious. I wish we had a Campestre in Raleigh!

Would give it no stars except the chip and white dip were great. Otherwise where to start 1 the chicken burrito was barely warm unseasoned chicken in a cold flour shell. NOBEANS and if there was any less cheese it would be nonexistent. The bean and rice side was tiny and again so flat. 2 Hubby’s taco was no better. His cheese quesadilla was smothered in cheese but it was over only one small tortilla. If we weren’t starving from a 500 mile drive we would have sent it back and gone Italian. Will certainly suggest our hotel not recommend them to their guests. Have eaten Mexican all over the US never had worse. Oh and the waiter was brisk and non attentive. He got a tiny minimum tip

Out of towners here; staying at Econolodge. Great beer, mojitos, and seafood dishes. CLEAN restaurant and quick service. If we lived locally, we would absolutely return!

I ordered the chicken fajitas. They came out sizzling hot with plentiful sides of rice, beans, sauteed vegetables, chips, salsa, and a spicy mayo sauce. Food was great although it took a little bit of time to get a water when I first sat down. I would recommend this place if you’re in the area and have a craving for Mexican!

So being that it was my birthday and my beau wanted to take me somewhere for dinner, he asked where do you want to go? Alas, I’m Australian… I have no bloody idea what was good to eat over there so I said Mexican. He reminded me that it’s not a restaurant and that at least I narrowed eating holes down to a minimum. I’m so helpful. So we go, don’t need a booking. We were seated pretty quickly and the little chippies that come out with the salsa? Oh you could just sit there and eat those and not need dinner. Since it was my birthday, I wanted my usual bucket of margarita to go with my dinner. Which came out as per bucket size. The food was generous portions(but then everything in America is!) and tasty. Ahh proper Mexican. I wanted to box up this place and bring it home with me. They were quick on the food delivery, the price is good and they do a mean margarita. Definiately worth a visit if you’re in the area and have a hungering for mexican.

Very good Mexican food! We were happy to find this place on Unilocal as we were driving from white sulphur springs to charleston. It was all very good food! We had chicken chimichangas, chicken enchiladas, chicken quesadillas, and beef nachos. All delish!

Just passing through Beckley and were fortunate to find this restaurant. We each had grilled shrimp: mine was Shrimp Yucatan and the best grilled shrimp I have ever had! His was Shrimp Chipotle, also delicious. We will eat here the next visit!!!

No es bueno! It is sad when a restaurant is run by Mexicans and they can’t cook Mexican food. The rice was the worst I have had and the shrimp still had the caca in it. I was offended just because it is West Virginia doesn’t mean we will eat anything! No me gusta es caca!

We were craving mexican after snowboarding at Winterplace and spending the night at a hotel across the street. Campestre was recommended at the hotel and everyone was quite happy with the place. I’m surprised at all the negative reviews. The service was fantastic and this was some of the best salsa I’ve had from the typical style Mexican restaurants. Everything was very clean, well kept and had character. The food was in general typical of a Mexican restaurant but I must say it’s better than many I’ve been to. Recommended!

Uh-oh, Jose! I’m downgrading this restaurant from my previous four stars to one. The young man who brought us water and chips could only grunt. I suppose grunting is universal, but it doesn’t qualify him as bilingual. And then he set the drinks on the outer edge of the table next to my arm; You know, the one reaching for the chips. He was not well-trained. My wife had a taco and enchiladas; I had the taco salad. I suspect they purchase their meat already ground, and that the processor uses a mechanical device to remove the meat from the bone. Why? Because all the beef had bone chips in it. It was unnerving because the first one you bit into, you hoped it wasn’t your own tooth. There was some relief in biting into the remainder of the bone chips because you realized that you weren’t biting into your own body parts. My taco salad was, uh, well… more like meat and lettuce soup… except, of course, for those little bone chips. What would you call those in a salad? Mexican croutons? Anyway… the shell dissolved and became part of the soupy mess. What a disappointment it was from our previous visit. We thought we had found a gem. Oh, and one more thing: Nobody asked us how our dinner was. They brought us our ticket and vanished… vamoosed. That seems to be a common trait in restaurants that don’t want to hear your answer to «How was it?»

Campestre is labeled by its sign as a «bar & grill,» which is usually a descriptor reserved for restaurants serving typical«American» fare. Nonetheless, Campestre is a Mexican restaurant in good shape, sporting a bar area with a couple of large flat-screen TVs(tuned to a U-17 World Cup game between Mexico and Guatemala), and surprisingly spicy salsa – yum! The food arrived hot and in large quantities – the tamale was the best one I’ve found in any Mexican restaurant on this side of the country. It was a little more white-corn based than the yellow-corn style I’ve been used to, but it was still quite tasty. Prices were average, the service moderate, and the bathrooms were clean. All in all a positive, enjoyable experience in Beckley.
