Wife & I love the food here. Everything we’ve had here during a half dozen visits has been delicious. Great place for a relaxing meal in a laid back environment. Not much of a bar crowd here even though they have a nice mellow bar. If you want a townie bar along with entertainment, sometimes from the interesting patrons, go a few miles south to the two other Chinese restaurants in Merrimack. If I want a top notch meal with my wife at a table I go here. If I want a bar room type atmosphere with my townie cronies friends and have marginal Chinese food I travel south. I go to all three places depending on my need for social interaction vs. excellent food and a quiet meal with the wife. I highly recommend this place for an excellent meal. I can’t figure out why it’s not that busy given the quality of the food.

We’ve only tried the sushi here, but it has been the best quality we’ve found in the area and reasonably priced both times.

Amazing! I try to order something new every time I go and everything is always delicious. There is delicious traditional fare but– for the foodies– order off the authentic menu for a truly amazing meal. The beef and tomato hot pot is a must order and the sushi is always fresh and delicious. Laura makes her own ginger dressing for salad and I can honestly say it is the best I’ve ever had. You always receive a warm welcome and everyone I’ve recommended SunShui to has quickly become a regular! Lunch specials are great prices and just the right amount of food and they also offer a happy hour!

We’ve been here multiple times in the past year. The food was excellent and fresh. The restaurant is clean and bright(unlike many other Asian/Chinese restaurants that are dark/dim lit and you stick to the table). The restrooms are well maintained too.

Visiting from out of state. I travel for work and often order take out. Tried Sun Shui for takeout and was impressed. Excellent hot and sour soup. MooShu Pork was the Real Deal. Fresh and seasoned perfectly, the best I have had and I have tried many versions. If this is your«neck of the woods» consider yourself fortunate to have this restaurant nearby. Next time I am nearby I will return and frankly I would go out of my way to dine here

I have had both dine in and take out experiences. When we dined in we were one of three tables at the restaurant. Our order took a long time to get to us, but it was worth the wait because it was hot and fresh. The general gao chicken(all white meat) was the best my husbands ever had. The sushi was cool and fresh. We got a Szechuan twice cooked pork dish that was very flavorful! The crispy duck was great, but we did not like the sauce that came with it. We asked for a different sauce, but they never brought it. I recommend going, but not if you’re in a hurry. Take out was not as good, as the food was somewhat cold by the time we got it. However, the house fried rice was LOADED with meat, eggs, and veggies.

I like this place very much… the traditional chinese items are very yummy and the waitress who is often working the whole dining room by herself is very nice and polite without being fake or overly intrusive or bothersome like the waitresses at many larger chain type places. I will say that the sushi here is not bad but not really great either so I don’t come when I want that but the chinese food I have had is delicious(spicy hotpot, northeast fish, szechuan beef fillet, soup dumplings, and the lamb and fish soup) I wish they would expand on the traditional items or maybe even offer weekend dim sum that would make it perfect!

Very authentic tasty cuisine! The best you find in expensive Chinese restaurants. Owner is very experienced and provide good customer service. Décor is Eclectic and Elegant! Good variety of food from Asia, including Korean, Japanese and northern China. Specialties found in very few places in New England. Had a recent previous location in Nashua. Some Prices are higher than some other places, but well worth it if you taste and compare!

A friend raved about how great the food was. Well the service was second to none as well. Our server Kimmy could not have provided better service with a friendly personality to boot. We will be back soon to try a few new dishes. Highly recommend.

This restaurant has a good variety of food, offering hibachi, Chinese, and sushi. The staff was generally very friendly. However, our server seemed impatient and frazzled, most likely because there was only two servers responsible for a full restaurant during a Friday dinner shift. And, I’m nearly certain we did not receive one smile from her. As for the food, the garden salad’s ginger dressing was delicious, which is saying something, given the fact that I detest ginger! In fact, I would say one of my favorites this far at an Asian restaurant! However, the edamame was almost entirely unsalted, the sushi was bland and lacking in interesting ingredients(iceberg lettuce in sushi?), the fried rice was composed of almost nothing but rice(and the shrimp was undercooked), and the add-ons were unreasonably expensive(a piece of cream cheese costs nearly the same amount as an entire pack at the supermarket). The sake came out close to boiling, and after asking for either cold or room temperature sake, the«small» that was ordered got charged as a «large»(an extra $ 5), as cold sake only comes in that size. Unfortunately, we were not given this information, but the manager did eventually change the charge back to the price of the drink ordered. Maybe with a little more time some of the kinks will be worked out, but for now, I wouldn’t return.

I love this place. The food has always been good There’s a few items that’s off menu so feel free to ask the server or the owner if there’s anything new. Service can be slow as they only have one server from the looks of it, but the food is still worth it. I’ve had a few sushi rolls and they’ve been great. It’s not a place I’d go if I just wanted sushi though. Overall, if you love spicy food that tastes great and you don’t mind waiting, check this place out. Take it for what it is, its a small restaurant that’s still getting its footing. It’s also a great departure from New Hampshire’s usual pizza, subs, and wings.

If you come here for sushi you will likely be disappointed. The salmon sushi rolls were pre packaged, and a few days old evident by the fishy taste. Whitefish and yellowtail both fishy as well, so overall fish freshness was not great. Spicy tuna, and tuna sashimi were pretty good though. Other food was OK, they have Korean and Chinese food too.

I am a little late writing a review for this restaurant. I took my mother here the night before Mothers Day. It was our first time. The food was excellent as well as our drinks. The owner greeted us when we arrived, checked on us several times during our meal. It is nicely decorated. The food was so good! Great eggrolls, loved the fried rice, everything was great !! I cant remember which dish we ordered but it was good, we were so satisfied with everything. We will be going back for sure.

Small place, but great food. Wife and I love traditional Chinese, but in order for the kids to eat, they kind of want traditional American Chinese. This place, luckily, has both — and honestly, both are done well. We got the Szechuan Chicken in chili sauce(absolutely excellent), 4 pepper fish(wouldn’t order again, a bit bland), chicken with cashew nuts(great, kids loved it) and chicken fried rice(excellent). When we went to pay, Laura(owner maybe?) came by and asked us what we wanted to bring home — I said everything but the fish. She asked why, I told her it was only so-so and a bit bland, not worth bringing home. She asked a few questions and ended up recommending the spicy hot pot for next time and possibly the north sea fish(which honestly looked much better). She was exceptionally nice, as was everyone else. A side bonus is that they also have pretty good sushi — we got a bit for an appetizer and were very happy with it. Definitely coming back here and making this the new Chinese place on the list when we feel like take out /eating out. It’s a fairly small place, maybe 16 tables or so, not sure what happens when the place gets busy, but absolutely worth the try if you like this kind of food.

Sun Shui Asian Cuisine opened recently in the former Ginza space at Sebbins Brook Marketplace in Bedford. I decided to stop here for lunch takeout very recently. This Chinese and Japanese restaurant offers a full service dining room with a bar and sushi bar and takeout service. The menu offerings here consist of a good variety of traditional Chinese dishes and specialties plus Japanese dishes and items including sushi, sashimi, maki rolls, teriyaki dishes, udon noodles, salads, gyoza, and shumai. The prices here are moderate, most dishes priced $ 9.95-$ 18.95. 16 Chinese Lunch Specials($ 6.50-$ 8.25) with choice of rice, soup and appetizer and 8 Japanese Lunch Specials($ 9.50-$ 11.95) with miso soup, salad, and California roll are offered Mon-Fri only(excluding major holidays). Similar to its predecessor Ginza, the atmosphere here is modern with a clean spacious dining room which has a high ceiling, nice décor on the walls, shiny wood floors, table seating, booth seating along the wall, high seating at the full bar(with TVs on the wall), and sushi bar. For lunch takeout, I ordered two Chinese lunch specials including the L4 Kung Pao Chicken($ 6.95) with veg fried rice, hot & sour soup &3 chicken fingers and the L16 House Special Lo Mein($ 6.95) with veg fried rice, wonton soup &2 crab rangoons. The food was packed and ready to go in about 10 minutes after ordering. The Kung Pao Chicken had tender small pieces of boneless chicken, crunchy celery, scallions, and peanuts in a mild sauce. The House Special Lo Mein consisted of soft shrimp(cleaned), soft tender pieces of boneless chicken and beef, cabbage, scallions, & onions tossed with soft lo mein noodles, not too oily. The vegetable fried rice had a soft texture with a mix of peas, shredded carrot, onion, and trace of egg. The chicken fingers were coated with a thick firm batter with soft pieces of white boneless chicken strips inside. The crab rangoons(top folded) were light and crispy on the outside, filled with a soft cheese & crabmeat mixture. The hot & sour soup(not too spicy broth with a mix of egg, tofu, fungi, & pepper flakes) and wonton soup(two small pork wontons in chicken broth with scallions) were pretty decent soups. Overall, the food was very good for the most part and tasted very fresh including the vegetable fried rice(one of the better tasting fried rices I’ve had in the area) and the lo mein dish. The portion sizes for the price was modest here, but the quality of the food served was pretty high. I will note that some of the Lunch Specials numbers on the takeout menu and dining room menu do not match(ie L4 is Kung Pao Chicken on the takeout menu and L4 is Chicken Broccoli on the dining room menu). They should revise the menu(s) to be consistent with each other. DELIVERYDAILY: $ 25 minimum
