Walk into Tea’s Art Studio and you will be transported to a wonderfully magical place that could easily exist in the pages of a J. K Rowling novel. The walls are painted a glowing orange, and are lined with shelves of hundreds of jars of loose tea leaves for sale. Unique tea pots and cups are sprinkled around the shop(also for sale), and works of art, finished and in progress are found on easels and pinned up on boards. I began going to Tea’s Art Studio last spring for Art Classes, taught by the owner and artist in residence, Tea(pronounced ‘Tay-uh”). If you are interested in Art Classes Tea is a wonderful teacher for any skill level. She is inspirational, talented and gives off an incredibly positive and soothing energy. During class, she also served us specially made hot tea in amazing flavors – my favorites are black coconut, sleep tea and gingerbread latte. Going there one night a week to draw, drink tea with amazing smelling candles and music was a little piece of heaven. Aside from teaching Art, Tea also makes custom works of art for people – her special is pastels and color – she does some amazing stuff, look at her website to see. Tea also is a tea expert. She is great at recommending new flavors and is very knowledgable in herbal benefits and can create custom blends for a variety of problems(sleep, relaxing etc). Much cheaper than Teavana, and the service is much more personal. Both the store and the owner deliver a charming and magnetic experience.

I had noticed Tea’s on Great Rd, because I had seen an art/music event going as i drove by. It is nice the way the windows and front entry with garden sitting area look so creative, natural and inviting. But, I had no idea that Tea’s had such a wide variety of amazing teas(over 200!) and interesting workshops, classes and special events until I stepped inside. I was very glad that I stopped in to visit Tea’s for some tea. This is gem of a place to visit for amazing tea(iced-teas, warm tea or loose leaf,), discover new teas, for beautiful art, friendly people, inspiration, and eclectic store events. The décor is artsy and relaxing, I felt right at home in a comfy chair, as i enjoyed some really wonderful new teas, snacks, beautiful art and conversation. Tea’s has over 200 teas –many organic and rare teas plus, you can order a ‘custom blend’. It was so much fun to try different teas and the owner really knows her teas! I gave her a general idea of what kind of flavors I was looking for and she introduced me to some wonderful tea, most of which have become my new favorites! The display of such a wide variety of tea, plus tea pots, cups and tea sets, and small gifts is really nice, i bought a new tea strainer and I love it. In addition, there is some pottery teaware created by local artisans– I love business owners that support the local arts community! Tea’s has some talented local musicians perform for social events at the studio.(check website for schedule) This is a great locally owned place to check out! Go alone to relax with a cup of tea, or to meet friendly people over tea, or bring your friends. I really think you will be glad to find this special place. Tea’s also has day and evening events open to the community such as tea socials, creative gatherings, daytime drawing classes, art classes for children, making jewelry classes, special events, and workshops in art, astrology, healing arts, angel card readings and more! Check out the website for hours and events listings. I really think you will be one of your favorite local spots too! It’s easy to get to, easy to park, not too far from the Minuteman Bike Path, affordable, and so much better than large corporate coffee and tea shops in so many ways– plus it’s a locally owned business and very unique! * There is also a nice selection of bulk herbs, which I had been looking for quite some time, because most local stores that carried bulk herbs have sadly closed, so this was a great bonus to find out that Tea’s Art Studio also sells herbs.
