A vegetarian’s dream– this place has something on the menu for even the pickiest eater. What a hidden gem!

I’m sorry to say it just wasn’t that good. It took a very long time for 2 sandwiches and they were just ok. I wouldn’t recommend. There are alot of other places here I would try next time

We and every other table this morning waited over an hour for our food(two orders of pancakes). When they finally came out, they were awful. When another table told the server they couldn’t wait any longer, she was extremely rude to them. What a disappointing way to start the morning.

We stopped in here while looking for a healthy but cost-effective lunch during an otherwise expensive cheeseburger-and-beer filled weekend. We got exactly what we were looking for. I had the turkey pesto panini on multigrain(!) bread with a side of sunchips, and my boyfriend had the black bean burger with a ginger couscous salad. While I enjoyed every bite of my tasty sandwich, his meal was truly something else. We both agreed that it was the best bean burger either of us had ever had, and the ginger couscous salad was something I hope to duplicate in my own kitchen for years to come. Totally delicious, wholesome, healthy meal for about $ 15 for both of us. If only we lived a bit closer, I would definitely be a frequent customer.

Hummus isn’t good at all. Kids peanut butter and jelly had jelly dripping out of it before even picking it up. Water and tea glasses went empty and no one refilled them. The blonde server was pretty awesome though, she needs a better support staff to be more successful and less frustrated.

Very slow and overpriced. My Mediterranean griller was missing the chicken and was overdone. No free refills on the lemonade.

The food is pretty good. However do not go if you are in any sort of a hurry. The young girls working have not been trained and apparently don’t eat out because they don’t know what to expect in a restaurant. If you need anything you have to go interrupt their cell phone conversations for service. This is unfortunate because the meal was good.

I was a little apprehensive going in because reviews on Unilocal were quite mixed. However, I can say confidently that my husband and I had a good experience here. They had a nice menu selection, more conventional(Quesadillas, Ham & Cheese, etc) and some more modern choices(Roast beef Sandwich with Blackberry Jam and Feta) Two different people in town recommended the fiery Turkey Cibatta griller, so I gave that a try. Yummmm! The service was very friendly. The food came out quickly and was delicious. What more can you ask for when its 1PM and you are hungry for lunch?

Green Harvest has some good things going for it. Its location in charming downtown Bedford is a perfect stopping point for us to get lunch on our 6-hour drive to visit family. Its menu is full of flavorful-sounding sandwiches and soups. They have a great coffee bar, and their dining room is comfortable and kid-friendly. The bad news: service is perennially slow. Most of the lag is in the kitchen, although on some visits — we’ve dined there 3 or 4 times now — the wait staff seems to be spread too thinly, also. Today, we waited about 30 minutes for 4 sandwiches, including 2 kids’ grilled cheeses that came out burned. Our server handled the situation professionally when we pointed out the problem to her. Still, I think we won’t be going back. We would rather invest some time in going off the highway for a quality meal than eat fast food when we are on the road. But for us, lunch at Green Harvest has turned into an excursion of its own, which isn’t what we are looking for. Consistently slow service and inconsistent quality mean that we will look elsewhere.

On a day we were exploring the area with our daughter-in-law, we decided to stop for lunch. A month has passed but I can still remember how wonderful the whole staff was. We had a couple of fantastic vegan soups, a reuben, salad and wrap-turned-into-bowl between the 3 of us. All of the food was fresh and tasty. Upon hearing that 2 of us were vegan, the waitress set out to find vegan desserts for us. The chef came out and said that there were some in the freezer because she had made too many for a function the weekend before. We got 3 huge vegan cookies to go and munched them on the trail later in the day.

Really great sandwiches. Completely vegan options and vegetarian options, along with MEAT — if that’s what you’re there for. Soups are usually vegan. Friendly service, food didn’t take long to arrive after ordering, coffee was REALLY good, and honestly the menu had a lot of different food options for all the picky eaters out there without being overwhelming. Plenty of seating. it’s a «seat yourself» style — there weren’t any signs, but another customer let us in on the secret shortly after noticing us awkwardly standing near the door. take out is also available, and the price was VERY reasonable; i’d definitely go back again… that is, if I’m ever in/around Pittsburgh again.

Pretty darn excellent. Tasty teas, rockin wraps and a hummus/veg platter that would make a cabbage patch blush. One of those places where you just can’t pick just one thing from the menu.

Great place to grab a quick lunch or a delicious breakfast. The Harvest has a great setup and really good food. You can tell that all the ingredients are fresh here and they do a really good job creating a unique yet appetizing menu. The Harvest supports local farmers as well as eating healthy and at the same time make really great tasting foods. The only thing that kept them from 5 stars is the Green Mountain Coffee… sometimes the coffee in a café can make it that much better. Sadly Green Mountain just isn’t that good. This would be my choice for a great meal while in downtown Bedford!

Green Harvest is a lovely little stop full of yummy, healthy food and lots of coffee. How could I not love it? I’ve been here a total of five times. The first two were with my boss, who doesn’t even drink coffee, but has a bad addiction to chai tea. The third was to buy a gift card for boss’s day so my boss could have more chai tea. The fourth was to bring my sister, whose first trip to the great northeast involved flying across the country into Pittsburgh and riding in my car for two hours to the middle of central PA. We visited for lunch, first enjoying lentil soup and then flatbread pizzas. The service was a little slow, but we amused ourselves with FourSquare and checking out the art on the walls(she is an art major, so any art or architecture is greatly scrutinized and thus, appreciated.) The food was great and absolutely hit the spot. My health-conscious sister is a picky eater(although she did manage to eat an entire Primanti’s sandwich over two meals) but was able to find a pizza she really enjoyed. The fifth was with my mom, whose second visit to Bedford HAD to involve one of my favorite restaurants, the Green Harvest. After multiple friends commented that they had great breakfast, I insisted we try it. We were the only two people in the restaurant and service was VERY slow. I understand that food is cooked to order, which is great, but I felt that it was just a little too casual. The server walked around on a cell phone placing purchasing orders while we waited for our food to arrive, then disappeared for a while once we had finished eating. I noted that my side dish was wrong – quinoa had been served instead of polenta. The server said that the cook was new and that’s why it was wrong. I wasn’t looking for an excuse and would have preferred that she just acknowledge the mistake. She did offer a dish of polenta to go, which I appreciated(although it was absolutely terrible – she wasn’t kidding when she said it was just grits – bleh! That’s not polenta!) Mom lamented that the breakfast was not very filling despite ordering an extra side, and I had to agree. I absolutely appreciate the vegetarian and vegan options, so I’ll probably come back, but not as often as I’d like.
