Mr. Powerwash

TERRIBLE! 2 weeks ago I made an appointment to have my deck powerwashed and sealed. I was quoted a price of $ 299 by Ron Bowen for both (to be paid via check directly to him, which I found kind of odd). My appointment was for 10 AM, today for the powerwashing. At 10:30 he still hadn’t arrived, so I called and left a message. He called back and said «Yeah, I meant to call you a week ago, but your job isn’t profitible enough for me to do.» That is terrible business practice and I would advise everyone to think twice before using this company. They obviously do not want to be bothered with «smaller» jobs, even if they’ve already confirmed the price and appointment. Now I have wasted a day off of work which isn’t profitable to me, Ron!

I had my home powerwashed recently and I was very pleased with the results and overall service. First, I think I should note that I got a groupon for this service and expected mediocre service, but I was pleasantly surprised. When I called to schedule, I had no problems. They fit me in about 2 weeks. I didn’t have to be there. Huge plus, since I work in VA. And they called to reconfirm — really to make sure they had the right date, but appreciated nonetheless.
So when I got a chance to inspect it — I circled around the house and even brought out my camera to zoom in at the top to see — it was definitely a huge improvement from what my house looked like before. And it was bad before!
I gave them 4 out of 5 only because I’m very meticulous. I saw just a few (very minor) still a bit dirty areas. Which might be because of the age of the home and ingrained into the siding. But, considering my home is about 3000 sq. ft, I can discount that fact and you literally have to be up on it to see it. (Told you — meticulous). That and a few items looked like they were moved but not put back in place. Probably for better access to the house, but the beauty is in the details.
Other than that, I am definitely going to use them again!

I made an appointment to have my house pressure washed on April 13, 2012 at 9:00am. At 11:00am, they still had not shown up. I tried to call them, but could only get their voice mail. Finally, when they called me back, they stated they were not sure they could make it to my house today, so they would be at my house on April 14, 2012 at 9:00am. On the 14^th, they did not show up either. I tried calling again, but could not reach anyone at the company. I left several voice mails but did not receive a call back. Finally, they arrived at 1:00pm. No phone call, no explanation, no apology. They washed my house, but did not clean the windows like they were supposed to. I am very disappointed in the customer service of this company. The price was right, but I rather have paid more for better service.
