My husband and I had Father’s Day dinner here, the day before the actual holiday. We have been Hoss’s fans forever. We had a very disappointing dinner at the Hoss’s in Grove City recently and I was hesitant to even try this one. The entrees were great. The waitress, Ashley, was attentive and friendly. The complaint that I have was the salad bar. This is usually the highlight of a Hoss’s dinner, but it was a total mess. I realize that it was busy, but the dessert area was empty. The cakes or pies were empty and were never refilled the whole time we were there, also the fruit. I was looking forward to some honeydew or pineapple, but it was never refilled, and you had no choice but to have ice cream.

Always great to see a Hoss’s! Since the last time I’ve been here(which has been around a year) some things really changed. The food was sub-par and my steak was overcooked for medium. I went for dessert and everything, and I mean EVERYTHING was sugar free, with the exception of puddings and jello. I am also pretty sure the ice cream is fro-yo now too. This was not the experience I always remember from Hoss’s.

Food and service is Good but every time I have ever been there, no matter what I eat I get diarrhea and can barely make it home and I only live 2 miles from there

If you’re considering it — don’t. Just don’t. Go get a Subway or some other fast food. It will be better. I read a couple of very accurate reviews on here. I read a company response to one. I nearly choked laughing. If you’ve been to a Golden Corral or a Ryan’s you know what variety is & what good fresh food is & what value for your money is. This is not a steak place like Outback or Texas Roadhouse. It’s a crappy steak with one side & a crappy soup & salad bar. Save your money.

I have never had a bad meal at Hoss’s. The soup and salad bar is the best that I’ve ever had. I’ve been going since I was a kid and I have never once been disappointed.

I ate at this Hoss’s location with my mother and father one evening about two months ago. My experience doesn’t necessarily make me want to go back. It’s not terrible, but it’s not great either. Firstly, they are way overpriced. The quality of the food is not worth the price, at all. Secondly, the staff is terrible. My family and I waited twenty minutes for our server to come to our table just to take our drink order. That is unacceptable. Thirdly, there were problems with all of our meals. My mother didn’t want mushrooms on her steak, and they gave her mushrooms. My father’s sandwich was undercooked, and my fries weren’t hot. After all these troubles, not even a single penny taken off our bill. This place isn’t good, skip it and go somewhere else.

Best soup and salad bar around. Four different soups and a big desert bar

Definitely not a fan. The«Hosspitality» bar is subpar at best. Produce is never fresh and bread is always stale. If it wasnt for company meetings at my previous job I would never have stepped foot in a Hoss’s.

I have eaten in here hundreds of times in my life… never got a bad steak there!!! All the other«steak houses» like Longhorn are over priced and overrated IMO. Your talking top quality steak, plus a side, soup, salad, bread and dessert for under $ 20! Works for me!

From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, my term for describing this place was«awkward». … That awkward moment when your feet stick to the floor. … That awkward moment when you realize you have no idea what you want to order and for some reason completely foreign to me, they take your order at the hostess stand. … That awkward moment when you finish your meal between the time you asked for a refill and received it. … That awkward moment when you realize that your formica cafeteria plate went through a steak assembly line in the back room. … That awkward moment when you realize there are more colors of pudding on the buffet then there are types of salad mix. Just felt really out of place here. Wish we would have taken the time to find that other steakhouse(ponderosa? outback?) across the street.
