Brix Restaurant & Pizza Bar

Went on Latin fusion Wednesday! What a treat was I in for. Saw an influx of people coming in at 9pm and a few minutes later the Spanish music started flowing! Boom Spanish music party! Def an entertaining night and good drinks! Winner winner!

Great food and service. Their pizza is always a good fallback choice. Can be a bit loud if there us karaōke or live music but the atmosphere is always lively and entertaining.

Lovin Brix lately! Have been there a few times, as it’s in walking distance from my apartment. Love the atmosphere and the food! Have tried the pizza, salads, rice balls, fish, burgers, fries and even the zeppoles (suggested by our waitress Nicole, who is way cool), all really good! Great drinks and they have live bands most Saturday’s, which I love! What’s not to like, owner Candace is wonderful, too!

Pizza was very good. Had some confusion about the size of the food. Ordered a pie and received a small gourmet pizza. Was a little annoyed, however after expressing my annoyance restaurant called me to talk to me about the types of pizza they sell. Gentleman on phone was very courteous and attentive to costumers needs, explained that they sell more gourmet food, smaller plates.

They have great pizza and pasta. Atmosphere and staff are very welcoming. A very mixed crowd at this place

Finally made it to this restaurant after rave reviews from my friends, and I wasn’t lied to. There were so many appetizing things on the menu but I was really craving pizza & beer so I had a ½ pepperoni pie and a pint of Magic Hat’s summer wheat. The pizza was phenomenal and the beer off the draft tasted great The restaurant is very nice we ate on the front end by the bar, and what a beautiful bar it is. They have 13 taps that they change out with new beers frequently according to my server. Speaking of the server I found the service to be top notch. This is a place you can go out to eat with your family, with a date, or even with some friends for food and beer to watch a game as they have 6 or 7 flat screen TVs on the front end of the restaurant. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Food was terrific. I had the Bruchetta Pizza. The taste was outstanding. Also a great selection of micro brews. The service was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere cozy.

Very nice place! We have gone for drinks at the bar & also just tried their dinner the other night. The stuffed long hots were delicious! We wish they gave more though for the price (only 3 pieces for $ 11), I hate odd numbers when we are sharing an appetizer. The chicken parm was very good & a good size for the price. I really loved the bruschetta pizza, yum! I would love to go back & try more of the pizzas because they have a lot! Bottle of wine was a good price too. The server was excellent & very accommodating. We would recommend giving this place a try for a nice night out or for a casual event!

Such a nice place… I didn’t try the food but the sangria was amazing. Was there for Wednesday night «Latin night «I assume it is called. music was great and everyone was dancing with everyone lol. Space was alittle tight but other than that it was a good night !!! Definitely going back serine soon to try the food!

Very impressed with the great food and friendly staff! Last night was my first time at Brix, and let me start off my saying it won’t be my first time! The restaurant has a spacious and cool atmosphere. There is plenty of sitting area by the bar and dinning area. The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the caprese prosciutto salad, but I was able to taste a few other plates my family ordered! They carry a great selection of small plates and pizza! The fried mozzarella was my absolute favorite and must have on the menu, along with the grilled chicken penne vodka! Free dance lessons are offered here on Wednesday nights as well!

My chapter sorority sisters held a small reunion dinner here, and it was great time!
1) We made reservations and arrangements far in advance, so they blocked off 3 tables in a back corner of the restaurant for us. It’s a very big restaurant, so there was an area for people to hang out at the bar, sit down for dinner, our group, and another bigger party room that someone was having a big birthday party in.
2) We got a prix fix menu of 4 appetizers and choice of 3 entrees. The roasted salmon was amazing! I also tried the chicken savoy, which was good (not great), but definitely a much bigger portion than mine. And the apps were very good too, especially the bruschetta pizza. And they have a really good happy hour! If you’re with a group, go for the pitchers of sangria. That was a great deal.
3) I didn’t look at the regular menu, but my plate was only $ 30, which is pretty good considering I was too full for cake by the end of the dinner. And the happy hour had good prices, too!
4) The wait staff was short that evening, so there were some long waits for things, calling them over, a little confusion, etc., but it didn’t ruin the experience or anything. And I’ve waited tables before, so I know how tough it can be to have a big party and still tend to other tables. In light of that, I think they actually did a pretty good job.
5) It’s in a small complex with other businesses, so while there is a parking lot, it was pretty full. I even saw a woman get into it with someone else over a spot. If you’re going on a weekend or if they’re having a big event at the restaurant, maybe plan a few minutes for the parking.
I would come back again sometime!

Apparently, I’ve been living under a rock for the last 8 years (luckily, that rock just happens to be 2 blocks away from this gem called Brix)!
The Good…
Food: I can’t remember ever having a local restaurant meal with FRESH INGREDIENTS: Pizza Bruschetta, Vodka Parm Pizza, French Onion Soup, Shrimp in Garlic Sauce, Seared Ahi Tuna …10s all the way!
Drinks: I’m not much of a drinker, but the bar is always moving drinks!
Service: Am I REALLY in New Jersey??? Where did all these nice, good looking people come from?!
Ambiance: Very Entertaining! Low Stress, High Fun!
Delivery: I’ve heard they deliver — but I’m impatient, so I’ll just pick up my own order.
The Bad…
Location: I despise Franklin Ave. — because of bad drivers with no purpose getting in the way of me and «The Good…» (but that’s not a Brix problem — I could just crawl out from under my rock, and WALK instead)!
Haters: apparently, the other local joints feel threatened by Brix (and with good reason — there is no comparison).
The Ugly…
This just became my new favorite cheat meal! And I’m going for my third meal in three weeks — not now, RIGHT NOW!!!

I went here last night for dinner and I was really impressed with the food and service. My party didn’t have a reservation and the place was all booked for the night. The hostess was very kind and told us to wait by the bar and she would see what she could do to get us seated. We only waited 20mins before our table was ready.
The crowd is very mix. The restaurant has live music and a huge bar. The food was amazing, fresh ingredients and their homemade bread was so good. So good that we ordered another basket of bread to go with the garlic shrimps… highly recommend!
The pizza was on point and their onion soup is to die for (literately the cheese just spreads everywhere and melts in your mouth). I am extremely glad I finally decided to try this place out. For awhile I had been meaning to go. It’s just around the corner from my house. A must better restaurant than Luna that just opened in Nutley. I tried Luna last week and was not impressed. I had waited over an hour and 20mins for a table. The crowd was not mixed and my party felt out of place. The service was sloppy and the food was average. I think I found my new spot here at Brix Restaurant Bar and Pizza Grill. I totally would come again and again. I can’t wait to tell my friends.

Very good and friendly service, I was actually very impressed. Ambiance was a little cold but they have a decent menu and everything we ordered was very good and fresh! Prices are good as well.

I like it here. I sat in the bar area at a table and had some pizza and some appetizers and some beers. The menu has a good variety but it is a little on the pricier side for a bar especially when the options sound so good that you want to try it all!
They will let you try different beers if you are unsure of what to pick so keep that in mind. The staff was good and friendly. They have live entertainment and karaōke and stuff so if that isn’t your thing you might want to check what is going on first!
Overall I will definitely be back.

Went with my friend for dinner & when I pulled up it was in a mini mart area so I was a little unsure about it–
But once I got inside the staff was very friendly & attentive the whole night! (The hostess gave us a heads up about the karaōke which I appreciated!)
The food was great. The house salad was amazing! I also got calamari & shrimp scampi pizza which I plan to eat for lunch !
Def a nice spot!

Fun experience when going out with friends on a chill night. Nothing special but wasn’t bad either.
One real positive was that our waiter was really nice and made sure we were taken care of throughout the night.
