Grimm & Gorly Flowers & Gifts

I live in Chicago and my Mom lives in Belleville, about 5 ½ hours away. I had to trust they would give her amazing flowers at my price point, and they did just that! The person who answered the phone was kind, helpful, and genuinely cared about making my Mom and I happy. Plus, you could tell he was excited about putting together my bouquet. She was so happy and the pic looked beautiful! Plus she said they smell amazing! I’ll only go here when she needs some flowers. They are perfect!!!

Stopped in to get some last-​minute flowers for my mom’s birthday. It was the Saturday before Christmas, and I wasn’t sure what I would be able to get as a walk-​in, but the florist put together a lovely and sophisticated bouquet in just minutes that met my specifications perfectly. I was able to get a large arrangement for only $ 50 (sans vase). Grimm & Gorly also did the flowers for my parents’ wedding way back in 1970.

We have received an acknowledgement of their culpability in the failure to deliver our order and an apology from the owner. While it does not change the outcome of our event, I appreciate that they were willing to own the accountability of the mistake. I will again reiterate the need to confirm and follow up with diligence to ensure your life event is not spoiled.

I recently patronized this small buiness and was NOT disappointed! I had ½ dozen multi-​flavored cupcakes delivered to my honey’s job. Though the cupcakes only came in a clear plastic container, they made up ffor it with the two shades blue they wrapped around the container. The cupcakes were so moist, and delicious! It was well worth the $ 15.00 delevery fee they charged to deliver to St. Louis, Mo f

The new coffee shop is great! The cupcakes have been a favorite of mine and my husbands for years. The peanut squares are a favorite of my husbands. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and have been very helpful when purchasing flowers.

I hired this florist for my wedding in October, I originally hired them because I felt he qould do a great job, prices were comparable and wanted to keep business in Belleville. I showed him pictures of exactly what I wanted, so how can you mess it up?! Well they did from my bouquet which they came out and fixed turned out fine. Even though he had pictures he messed it up. But my centerpieces and backdrop were horrible NOTHING that I wanted or ordered. You should not be devastated whenyou walk into your reception. I ordered the backdrop 1week before showed a picture asked do you have this was told yes. What was at my reception was NOT WHAT I ORDERED AT ALL!!! They absolutely will not return anymore emails after the first one where they accused me of lying. I have been attempting to get in touch since November after first response which they have not done. 4 months is plenty of time to respond. They may be great ay small things, but I would definetly trust them for any important event such as your wedding

It was between this place and another local Belleville shop. The lady that answered the phone at G&G was much friendlier so I chose them. (I’m a sucker for great service over the phone!) I told her that I was calling from California and was hoping that I can place an order for Father’s Day for pickup the following day (Saturday). She said yes, they can. Great! My next request was that the basket contain fruits and nuts, but if they can add cashews I would totally appreciate it. She said she wasn’t sure what type of nuts they had, but she would look. She took down my information and now it was just time to wait… The basket would be ready at 10am. When I asked for a Father’s Day Card, the lady said that she doesn’t have any there; only at the other shop. :(That’s terrible how fathers don’t get the same recognition as moms do on Mother’s Day. But not the end of the world.
The following morning, my sister picked up the basket and sent me a picture of it. I asked her if they had been nice to her and if she had come across any problems. Yes and no. That was a relief! And she said that she asked for a small card for the basket… they gave her one (no charge) on which she wrote a message for me. It was just a small name card so I would have been shocked if they had charged LOL. Anyway, she said that the basket contained cashews which my dad loves! And she said that the basket wouldn’t last long… meaning it contained everything my dad loves! I was so happy! And indeed, he absolutely loved it!
The only thing that I didn’t like was the color of the ribbon. Yellow? For Father’s Day? LOL. I would have gone with a dark blue or something a bit more manly. But other than that, the basket looked great!
I would definitely order another gift basket from G&G in the future! :)

I ordered a floral arrangement for a friend from Grimm and Gorly Florist over the weekend. They were delivered Monday, and were simply beautiful. My friend was thrilled with them, saying the scent was heavenly, and that she was the envy of her co-​workers. She sent a photo of the flowers to me and I agree… they are stunning. I originally planned to buy the flowers on the website of a national florist, but at the last minuted decided to «go local». I am so glad I did. I’ve been in the Grimm and Gorly Florist shop before, and was equally impressed with the items offered in their store. I’ll be giving them my business in the future!

Gorgeous little florist shop with A-​Mazing cupcakes. The strawberry which was by far my favorite which is odd because I love chocolate so much! The icing was way better than the Cupcakery in STL (AKA the Cup) and even Jilly’s on Delmar (The Loop STL). They are smaller but around $ 1.85 a piece. We tried the Heath… Melts in your mouth! The oreo which had a white batter with oreo chunks. The S’mores which had marshmellows, chocolate chips, and a hershey’s on top. So good!
The awkwardness of this place is parking at a meter up the street, I believe St. Charles Street and you have to walk all the way to Main (its like a half block but it was sleeting and I really didn’t want to walk) to the inside of a florist. It’s gorgeous and the people are sooo nice.
FYI though try and bring cash because you need to spend $ 10 to use your Debit/​ATM/​Credit Card.
