Helen Wax Spa

I’ve had many upper lip and eyebrow wax’s in my day and Melissa was fabulous! I have very fine hair on my upper lift and Melissa took the time to go over it until it was all gone. This is the first time someone has taken the consideration to do that in my life! She kept my natural eyebrow shape (as requested) and I walked out extremely satisfied :)

I went in for a Brazilian a few weeks ago. Like the other reviews say, Cinderella is really great at making you feel at ease, and very professional. They also have a membership program for waxing which I’ll try out! Less cost per time if you plan to go regularly. Great idea.
It’s a Brazilian so yeah, its not pain free. But avoid caffeine right before i find that helps, and just try to relax and breathe normally, don’t hold your breath or tense up. Chit chat helps! I’ve never tried painkillers personally but know they work for some.
Definitely recommend.

I’ve been to a lot of places and Cinderella is the best esthetician that I have had in WA. She’s quick and made my brazilian as painless as possible. I love her technique for sugaring. I hate how places will use a ball of sugar to wax. Cinderella using warm sugar, sticks, and the waxing cloths. This helped with the hair pulling. I def will never go back to wax.

This was my first facial by Cinderella and I couldn’t be more pleased! I’ve had waxing services by her as well without any problems. Cinderella is very professional explains the facial products she’s using and recommends what is needed to continue your skin care régime at home. Cinderella is the best!

It was my first time getting a wax, and Helen was able to make an appointment for me on short notice. She made me feel very comfortable during the process. It was pretty quick and not as painful as I was expecting. Will definitely be going back! Pricing seems comparable to others in the area.

I used to love the brow waxes I got at Helen’s — both from her and her employees. Helen did mine a few months ago and they were uneven, and I was missing a section on my right brow. They finally grew back in, and I went for a was today. Once again, my brows are uneven, and I’m missing the outer third of one eye brow. Sorry, I won’t be going back.

I had high hopes for this place but I was let down :/
I don’t know if it was the technique or the wax type but it was my most painful waxing experience so far. My skin peeled off in some places leaving a burning, painful sensitive patch. The esthetician was nice but it didn’t compensate for the painful experience. I am not going here again.

This review is for Helen and her Brazilian wax. It was the worst I’ve ever had. Not only was it super painful, it was not even a decent wax; I ended up with uneven hair in several areas.
She made me wait for 20 min until I finally had someone call her to make sure she knew I was there. It looked like she was in a rush and she did not take the time that a proper wax in that sensible area deserves. I’ve had many Brazilian waxes and she was definitely the worst. At one point I thought she was going to rip out some skin. Never ever coming back even if they were free.

This review was long overdue! I had purchased a Groupon to get 3 microdermabrasions. I finished the 3 sessions a few weeks ago and had the best experience! Cinderella is awesome and she really knows what she’s talking about. I would definitely recommend anyone to get their microdermabrasions here.
The only reason I didn’t continue here was because I had a few other microdermabrasion deals to use… but man, none of those places compare to here! I think once I’m finished with my other deals I’ll be coming back to Helen Wax Spa; full priced they are a little pricey but I definitely trust them with my skin!

Helen Wax Spa was the worst eyebrow wax i’ve EVER had!!!
I called in a couple days before and it was fairly easy for me to get an appointment. I did my Unilocal research prior to booking an appointment, however Helen was not available during the times I was so I decided to just go for whoever was available as I desperately needed an eyebrow wax.
I got to my appointment 10 minutes early. There were no other customers so they were able to take me in earlier. Parking is available on lot, so that is definitely a plus.
Anyway, the location is very clean which is another plus. As I got settled, the aesthetician was about to get started and a suddenly runs out as another customer came into the salon (this happened twice). I found it a little strange that there was no receptionist or another person greeting clients up front.
When she finally took care of the other clients, she came back and got started with my eyebrow was. I specifically told her to just clean up my brows, keep the shape, and just trim them a little — she gladly agreed. She was very friendly and could keep a conversation.
At the end of it all, my eyebrows were SCREWED UP!!! The right brow was nice, clean, and kept the shape. The left however was overwaxed!!! The inner portion of my brow was definitely not lined up with the sides of my nose. She practically took off about ¼ of my brow!!! I was and still am VERY DISAPPOINTED…
With that said, I am NEVER visiting Helen Wax Spa ever again! Granted I didn’t see Helen, I had high hopes for this place. I now have to wait for the weeks/​months until that portion of my brow grows back again. :(
