My husband and I would like to thank Dr Kustin and each and every staff member for making miracles happen every day, one being in our own lives! They are an AWESOME team. We got pregnant after our first IVF cycle.

It was the worst experience of my life!!! This doctor not only has no beside manners but is uncaring and rude to patients and his own staff.
It seems he is loosing his mind… aside from the fact that he has trouble seeing the ultrasound screen wether it’s because he needs new glasses or they aren’t adjusted properly it is horrifying to be getting an exam or having a catheter put in and your doctor «can’t really see»…Scary! As other patients have mentioned in previous reviews I also had a painful exam done by him, I would always pray I would get the nurse instead of him.
He also has a very hard time listening to patients, explaining and empathizing in any way. You would think that in such an emotional process he would know proper etiquette and professionalism… but he does not and at the end it rubs off on his staff too. Through my treatment I saw lots of people come and go through the office, people doing the job of 3 all at once which meant they would hardly answer the phone, call back if you leave a message or answer emails in a timely manner.
He fills his mouth saying he is the best and also least expensive… he is None of those! He is equivalent to all other fertility clinics and is no where near being a good doctor… He doesn’t even embody what a doctor should be.
Needless to say he could not get me pregnant, he is not a professional doctor or facility in any way I often wonder how he is still allowed to practice… and I would not recommend to anyone.

We had a horrible experience with Dr. Kustin (my brother had a horrific experience with his him as well). We went in with two previous miscarriages and irregular cycles and after a battery of tests we were told that I was going through early menopause and that there was some issues with my husband as well. Dr. Kustin told us that we were not even candidates for IVF and that we would need an egg donor. He does not have any bed side manner and he really is frank and unfiltered which can be appreciated by some but this is such an emotional experience and it needs someone with some compassion.
We took the holidays to think about things and decided to get a second opinion (at Pacific Northwest Fertility). We were told by Dr. Kustin that even though my cycles started again that there was no way and that I would not get my cycle next month. After our second opinion we were told that we would try IUI, our first IUI cycle I had two eggs that are now 11 month old twins!
Dr. Kustin was completely wrong and misdiagnosed both my husband and myself. He is EXTREMELY western and does not allow your body to do anything naturally. He will medicate you trying to force your body to do something. He does not believe in the human body.
Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT see him, even if it takes longer go to Pacific Northwest or Seattle Reproductive.

Terrible doctor.
I can take a brusque, even rude bedside manner, given that the rude person is very competent in the service they provide. All of us are not born with a charming personality.
However, my criticisms of this doc have to do with competency– in my opinion anyway.
He is not fully aware of current advances and was unable to answer the simplest of questions. Most of the time masked responses with just rude dismissive ness
He has no ability to pay close attention to the patients specific health situation and complicating issues, certain not to my issues.
We had no issues getting pregnant, nor have we had problems since. I had one super early miscarriage and went to him to ensure there would be no issues in order to get pgd
I had not had a painful ultrasound before this doc and never after. I cannot understand how he managed to make it painful. I always hoped for the other lady to do the ultrasound when I went in.
So that has been my experience. It has been a few years since this whole saga and finally I decided to write what I experienced.

I love Dr. Kustin, Arona and the staff are wonderful!!. Dr. Kustin is very honest he let’s you know when you have your consultation if he thinks IVF will work or not so you won’t have to waste time or money and I like that. He knows his patients by name. He very good at what he does. This is my 3^rd IVf, first time it failed, and second I got pregnant but had an early miscarriage and now I’m on the 3^rd try and I got a positive pregnant test! He never gives up. Helene and Dana are so wonderful! When I had my miscarriage Hele personally called me and let me know that how sorry she was about my miscarriage. I love Dr kustin and his staff!

This guy was a huge jerk. At first I thought I would like his blunt lack of bedside manner but it became unbearable. He did not share lab results or explain why he wanted to take certain courses of action; he just said what he was GOING to do. He repeated a bunch of labs that had been done by my previous doctor because he didn’t review my medical records that I had sent over. He would ask me a question and then immediately say, «No, I’ve got it.» He never tested my hormone levels. I felt that he bullied me into doing an unexpected procedure. I had a hormone inbalance that he missed. His defense when I brought up something my previous doctor had told me was, «Well she didn’t get you pregnant.» Guess what, he didn’t either.
His staff is amazing but they can’t make up for him.

This guy is a real @$$hole, yes he is. When I first met him for a consultation appointment I came out of there thinking he was the biggest jerk I’ve ever met. Because you know what? He is, he really is. But he does know what he’s doing. He personally measured all my follicles and analyzed them himself. His staff was very good about calling me and letting me know what my dosages were. In fact, he has the best staff ever. They’re very friendly (unlike him) and really know how to make you feel comfortable there. They kept me informed about all I needed to know and never gave me any BS about when my retrieval date would be. They couldn’t really tell me when it would be and needed to base it on my response to the medications. I first met Dr. Kustin in October or November, and I didn’t have my retrieval until January.
My retrieval happened a week later than when I hoped for. The staff was super cool and everything went smoothly. To my surprise, Dr. Kustin was able to retrieve 21 eggs, the most any doctor has ever retrieved from me, and this retrieval made me a three-​time donor. He really cared about my health and the condition I was in, and despite me trying to speed the process up, he advised me that it would not be in my best interest to do so. I never had any health complications with him and did not run into any issues with OHSS. I would have rated him one or two stars on account of his attitude, but his well-​meaning intentions, his experience and skills, and his super fantastic staff bumped my opinion of him to 4 stars. Because even though he’s not the nicest person you’ll ever meet, he’s a good doctor, and his staff is just so wonderful.
If you want your ego stroked and a doctor with good bedside manners, avoid this guy, but if you don’t care about any of that and want a successful egg retrieval, he’s your man.
