As I was dropping off my car at nearby Les Schwab for work on my tires, I asked them for a lunch recommendation. They said to try Let’s Do Lunch! up the street — so off I went. From Les Schwab, it’s a nice walk. And the walk back after eating was also a bonus. However, the most direct route does not have a sidewalk for half of the walk and it was a bit sketchy walking between blackberry bushes and rushing cars. Once I got there and walked inside, I was pleasantly surprised to see so much seating — and with a variety of table types and sizes. I got my bearings and walked up to the counter to look at the menu hanging from the ceiling. I didn’t see anything that appealed to me, so I inquired about making a custom order sandwich. The woman behind the register was very nice and said they could do that. She helped me understand and evaluate my options and was very helpful. She truly wanted to make sure I ordered something I wanted. She suggested a menu item that I could augment and I took her suggestion. After ordering and paying, I sat at a table by the window and within a reasonable time she brought out my sandwich and a salad. I didn’t know that the sandwich came with a salad. I wish she had told me because I didn’t want a salad, but it was not a big deal so I dug in. The salad was delicious. Fresh ingredients, good sized portion, and tasty dressing. I devoured it. The sandwich was about twice the size I was expecting! It was so big that after just the first half plus the salad, I had to get a to-go box for the other half. That was a nice surprise. The sandwich was absolutely delicious. It hit the spot and I was satisfied. I’m a big fan of Let’s Do Lunch! It is definitely a go-to spot for me if I’m in the area again. The food was delicious and the service was very good.

I stopped for lunch while driving by, The space was large, quiet, clean and fairly modern. I also noticed the rear kitchen room was quite large, plenty of space to prepare foods. I ordered the Chef salad with tomato and artichoke bisque soup. The bisque tasted very good. Two mistakes on the chef salad made it almost inedible, 1) The mix of lettuces were warm and wilted, 2) The blue cheese dressing was a flavored-mayonaise with no chunks of cheese, and the oil base starting to turn clear around the edge of the soufflé cup. Otherwise, the turkey, ham, cheddar, Swiss and hard-boiled eggs were just fine. They should chill their lettuces in cold water and spin dry them like other restaurants do. And they should serve salad dressings that make people want to come back. They paid the high cost of ingredients, then ruined the salad with a cheap dressing. I’m sure they have many good food entrees, gaging from other reviews, but I was very disappointed.

Great tasting but 12 bucks for a sandwich is a little pricey for my taste. Also customer service was a little weird. The lady making my sandwich was very friendly and helpful but everyone else had a «standoff vibe». Not sure if monday has anything to do with it! All in all though it was A-OK!

We finally checkout out Lets Do Lunch and are glad we did. Don’t let the looks deceive you … the food is excellent. The inside looks kind of like a VFW Hall on the but it’s spacious and very clean. The staff is exceedingly friendly. We had the Turkey & Havarti sandwich and the Ham and Pear panini, along with tomato bisque soup. Everything was very tasty but we’d have to pick the panini as our favorite of the bunch. We also sampled the lentil soup, which was excellent as well. Lunch with tip for 2 of us(we each had a sandwich, cup of soup, drink) was about $ 25.

So nice to find a spot where one can have a regular homemade lunch. The food was good and freshly made, even homemade soups. The dining room was nicely appointed in a down-home classy way. The service was good. The menu was large enough to satisfy most. The prices were decent. I’ll be back with friends.

Going here pretty often, the food quality and taste remains the same– extraordinary. The staff is very nice, warm and friendly. Top notch customer service. I got a free meal after 12 visits, which is another good aspect about this place. Definitely going to continue my visit to this place.

I really enjoy finding out of the way places that are not just fast food, or «Food Service». I ordered a smoked turkey and havarti. It was good, had a nice twist of artichoke aoli instead of plain mayo. The person who took my order, seemed a bit. off, and let my sandwich sit for like 10 mins before the other person behind the counter realized I had been waiting. I like the menu choices, and will be sure to come back again. It would have been five stars, but for the service. And from what I see from other reviews, people have similar experiences. This won’t deter me from returning.

After checking out options on Unilocal,I had planned to order our clinic’s lunch from here, until I was told that the charge would be $ 15 to deliver two lunches ½ mile from them. Wow, no thank you.

The Roast Beef melt this Thursday knocked me off my feet. Super juicy topped with sharp melty cheese. Served hot with au jus(cooking juice) for dipping in. Highly recommend. My friend had a simple ham and cheese sandwich was much less impressive(but not a bad meal) hence falls below full marks. Fast, cheap, clean, delicious, friendly. I’m a fan.

One of my Dad’s shops is located below this place. So about once or twice a week all I get to hear about is «Let’s do Lunch buffet on Friday!»… … I think my Dad still waits for me to get his clever joke, but I won’t give into it. I get it Dad, «Lets do Lunch!» has an amazing buffet on Fridays. We all know I shouldn’t be given free rein over a bunch of food so I think I will stick with the pesto sandwich. Which is basically crack cocaine. My Dad’s a man of few words when it comes to food, so I believe him when he says the buffet is where it’s at.

I hired Let’s do Lunch last Friday for the first time to cater a lunch for a training class. Kendal was so helpful. Even though I had to call and make last minute changes to the order, she got everything right. She was so friendly and easy to work with over the phone. She showed up when I asked her too and everyone enjoyed their meals. I will be using them again for our next event. Great value for the price and the food was delicious.

I love sandwiches. They are healthy and very vegetarian friendly. If you take away subway, there are only a handful of places on the east side where they take the sandwiches on their menu seriously. In search of those very few places, I embarked upon a visit to this restaurant with one of my friends for a weekday lunch. First impression was unsettling. It felt it like somewhere in the middle of fast-food place and a full-blown american restaurant. There was hardly any crowd on a weekday afternoon. Located in a place with lots of companies and industries around, I wouldn’t expect that. Coming to food, let me start by telling you that most of the sides here are frozen and afaik, the only food which are made fresh daily are the soups which I haven’t tried. One thing I remember about this place is the quality. Although the quality was mediocre, it just doesn’t justify the price they charge. There was more staff than the customers. Yes, that is possible. I wonder how the place is being even run. Staff was über sober. Summing it up, I was disappointed with their food and service to the very core.

This place is absolutely fantastic. One of those hidden secrets. I’ve been going here for the past 2 years and I like virtually everything on the menu. I especially like their Ham + Pear sandwich. They recently expanded and are doing really well. A must try if you get a chance. My only gripe with them is that they are not open all day long, neither are they open on weekends. And most of all, their location is weird. I think they started out wanting to service the commercial belt around Northup Way… but they should really consider moving to a more central location.

I was in the area getting an oil change and used Unilocal to find a good lunch spot within walking distance. It is a very cute, quaint restaurant, but my experience wasn’t exceptional. I had a cheese and basil panini that was meek. The service was very slow despite not many people in the restaurant and the customer service was chilly. The lady who took my order never made eye contact and then when I waited for my meal I witnessed the man cleaning tables harassing an Asian man about if he was a customer or not. It was obvious the man couldn’t speak fluent English but the bus boy kept badgering him when he couldn’t answer him fast enough. It was very unprofessional. The guy was just waiting for his to-go order which was why he didn’t have a number for his food, but he was taking a table which didn’t appear to please the employee. Again, the place had many empty tables at that time. It didn’t make me feel good being there.

I can’t bring myself to 5-star them because while they were generous with the turkey in the turkey havarti, it made it way too salty for me. I’m sticking with the chicken pesto. I’ve taken advantage of the Unilocal offer and gotten both soup and salad(I guess it was suppose to be a one time offer – oops), but they gave me my potato salad today, big smile and no questions asked. The salad is creamy and has the right amount of dill. Despite it being a side salad, it will last me 3 sittings. Or else, mayonnaise overload. I really do like em. The space is clean, bright, and spacious with an assortment of furniture so you can sit in a chair next to the kitchen/counter or in a wicker chair next to the window or in a sofa in the expanded buffet area. They’ve been nothing but friendly every time I’ve walked in. The food is made fresh in house. Just a nice place to eat or do «grab and go”~

This place knows sandwiches! However, they are not open on weekends, so I don’t get to go as much as I’d like; in fact, several Saturdays I’ve craved one of their grilled cheese and tomato bisque combos but have had to try to find a substitute something somewhere else. They’ve recently expanded into the room beside where they started and now there’s a TV and even what looks like a VIP area with couches(probably just comfortable seating, no need to be an «official» VIP). They also have free WiFi and I know there is coffee and pastries too so maybe a nice place to relax on a weekday afternoon… Anyhow, the sandwiches are WONDERFUL. I’ve only had the grilled cheese and tomato bisque combo and it is not greasy, it’s very cheesy and crunchy and the tomato bisque tastes fresh and is great as a dipping«sauce» for the sandwich. My husband loves the roast beef & horseradish sandwich, and on our last visit he was thrilled with the muffaletta(tons of fresh meat). They know what they’re doing here and the service is always very friendly too. I’ve seen notes about special Friday lunches like pot roast and potatoes, but I’ve never been for one of these days. My guess is it’s like home-cooked comfort food during lunch time. …something to try if I can ever get myself to not *need* the grilled cheese combo when I’m there!

Muffaletta sandwich was awesome. Ton of very fresh meat and the olive dressing was phenomenal. It was also really affordable. $ 5 for a half of a sandwich that will fill you up… and yes you only need half. I will go out of my way to come back.

Let’s do lunch! It’s such a «quotable quote» in our American culture. So much so that when this nice blond lady came into our office today to hand out menus for a new restaurant about 2 blocks away, I had to do a double take. Lets do Lunch? That’s the name? My interest was peaked though as she explained that it had just opened last week and that all the food was fresh and many of the ingredients and soups and such were all made in the kitchen on-site. Actually, the pull was so great that, even though it was 37 degrees out and I hadn’t driven that day(and technically I had food there at the office I could eat instead), I decided to walk anyways to check it out. I walked in to a warm, nicely spread and well cared-for room. The tile floor was nice and new, the tables had white tablecloths on them, and beyond the tables was the counter, somewhat set up like other deli places I’ve been to. Everything was clean, down to the bins to bus your dishes to and the recycle bin. It’s evident that they cater to a class of people that are environmentally conscious and care about what they are putting into their bodies — they even had white or brown napkins to choose from depending on how earth friendly you wanted to be. I opted for the daily special — it sounded so good! A BLT, cup of soup(butternut squash or tomato bisque — I chose the squash), and a drink for $ 7.99. The soup, though a little cool, was fantastic. It definitely tasted homemade. The BLT was just as good — freshly cooked bacon, mayo, green leaf lettuce, tomato, and stone-ground mustard(I asked for the mustard, so I don’t know if it’s normally on it or not, I’m guessing not) — DELICIOUS! I couldn’t have made a better one myself . Apparently the owners, Daina and Mark Carter, own a catering company too, Design Perfect, and decided to expand by opening a café as well. I’m glad they did! As I was eating lunch I overheard Mark talking to another patron about how they currently serve beer and wine, but soon they will have a full bar and will be promoting a happy hour menu. Be sure that I will be hosting a HH event when this happens!
