I came into this store wanting to purchase new eyeglasses. The Asian guy at this location is a complete idiot. I asked if they accept my health insurance? He stated that I just need to submit a claim on my own. I told him that it would be an out of network if I have to do my own claim. I do not want to pay $ 900 on a pair of glasses and not able to use my insurance. While I still picked out my frame, another associate came back into the store. He then found out from her that I couldn’t use my insurance. I then asked if I can buy the frames there and go to LensCrafter to have them put on the lenses. I wanted to make sure that I can return the frames if they do not do it? He said yes but was hesitant about it. So I took a picture of the frames to take it to LensCrafter. LensCrafter closed for the day so I have my friend called to ask again to verify that I can return it. He still said I could. I came back to purchase the frames and ask if he can give me a receipt so I can file an out of network claim with my insurance. He has no idea how to do it. He had to ask his coworker to help him. I knew this guy was stupid so I asked her again if I can return it if LensCrafter can’t do it? She told me NO. I told her he said I could. He then told her to make an exception but only for 1 day. That was fine to me but he said he isn’t working the next day. I made them both wrote a note so if I have to return it, there shouldn’t be a problem. I’m so glad LensCrafter was able to do it so I don’t have to talk to that dumb guy again. He wasn’t new there because I was there 6 months ago helping my bff picked out her glasses. If you visit this location, please ask to speak to someone else other him.

Great customer service! I came in for assistance. I did have to wait for two customers to be finished but was immediately attended to when my turn came. They assisted me with a sunglass issue with no hassle. THANKYOU!

We recently purchased a pair of Tag Heuer glasses from this store and were really impressed by their customer service. The Store Manager took good time to go over all available options and gave us a lot of suggestions on different styles. We found that they had even better Tag Heuer eyewear options than the authorized retailer in Bellevue place and their price was also really competitive. Overall a good experience so far.

(Review has been updated. I recommend reading both parts of the story for completeness.) Review part 1: Sort of in the midst of an uphill battle with these guys, unfortunately. I went in looking for frames and lenses, but due to cost I decided to utilize my eyewear healthcare benefit to re-lens a pair of my existing glasses. I thought me and the salesperson were on the same page, as I’m pretty expressive and usually successful at being transparent with my needs: put new lenses on my existing frames, and get me the lenses that will use my $ 225 benefit and not cost me anything out of pocket. Probably not an uncommon request for a customer looking for prescription glasses. I went there today to pick up my glasses, and was shocked to find that they were looking to charge me $ 300 – 500, after my benefit. Obviously, some sort of mixup occurred. The lady who I talked to today was the one who helped me look for frames, but ultimately it was another associate who took my re-lensing order(since the lady was off work the day that I made my decision), so the potential for something being lost in translation is there. I’m disappointed though, as I believe I was very clear on my cost requirements to the dude who took my order. What concerns me more here is how the lady has handled the situation. She doesn’t seem to be particularly empathetic towards the mixup here — not really ready to acknowledge that someone who avoided paying $ 300 – 500 out of pocket for new frames would probably not order a re-lensing that would cost $ 300 – 500 out of pocket. Perhaps they are a bit desperate to make sales here. Anyway, she was not doing what I would hope any customer service person would do: err on the side of the customer, reaffirm that the customer’s standpoint is reasonable, and show willingness to compromise. Instead, she stood strong on the price, to which I obviously told her I would not pay. As it stands, my re-lensed frames are being held hostage at the store, and I’m waiting for the dude who took my order to get to work so we can further sort out this mix up. I’m rooting for a happy ending here. Review part 2: All right, after a somewhat stressful afternoon(of dreading needing to resolve this situation), I can gladly say that things have worked out. It turned out there was a mixup with the lab, who thought mine was a children’s prescription, and so they put on the full shebang — all sorts of extra features into the lenses. When I returned to the store, the lady told me the story, and then discounted the difference in price. So, now I have some really baller lenses in my glasses for the price of $ 0 out of pocket. Phew. I do want to comment on the service at the store prior to this incident occurring, because one thing that is noteworthy of this place is its frames selection. There are lots and lots of frames, and I was helped to basically try all of them(I was probably there for about 45 minutes looking through all sorts of frames). The service was great, and the lady’s opinions were strong and solid. I found the service and selection far superior to the other glasses store in Bellevue Square(forgot the name. it’s in the centre on the upper floor). Note that, while the selection is great, the prices here aren’t low.

I recently broke my glasses and needed a replacement. Since I am out of state, I was at a bind since this was the place I normally order my glasses from. But the manager Taichi and his staff were really accommodating and helped me find a pair I liked and he even offered to mail it to me. I really appreciated their service.

They were nice enough but I wouldn’t return there. Had gone there as a friend had purchased glasses there two years ago. Communication with the store is extremely hurried even though they are not busy they seem to rush you through your questions as If they can’t be bothered. I had me exam done at my eye docs but went to Optical Illusions to order the glasses and the entire experience was rushed. Then I waited two weeks to get my in stock frame/lenses. Again no one was rude just that I felt very rushed even on the phone felt they just didn’t want to be bothered so at first I assumed the store was busy but turned out they were empty and just didn’t want to be there I am guessing. Again would not recommend them or return there even for service as my new glasses keep slipping down my nose but I won’t bother going there would rather pay someone else at a different shop to adjust the glasses as I think Optical Illusions would be too«bothered» to even adjust the glasses I just got from them. That’s how they left me feeling. I did go elsewhere to have my new glasses adjusted and they were terribly un balanced so basically place that sold them to me on Bellevue just handed them to me without checking the fir at all Now they are fine no thanks to Optical Illusions

One of the lens on my favorite pair of sunglasses fell out and I lost the screw. Based on a recommendation I went to All American Eyeglass Repair. They threw out a bunch of jargon and told me it would cost $ 10! I thought it was a little expensive for what seemed like a quick and simple fix so I decided to hold off. I was running errands at the mall and noticed the Optical Illusions store. I figured there was no harm in asking them about fixing my sunglasses. I was greeted right away by Taichi; he told me it was a simple fix and even adjusted my nose pads! I didn’t get a chance to browse too much, but they seem to have a great selection of glasses and sunglasses. The other associate in the store was also very friendly and knowledgeable.

This is an eyeglasses shop located in the Bellevue Square mall. I had some money left in my flexible spending account before I quit my job so I went on yet another glasses shopping spree. The brands they carry here are top designer brands. They have the following(this isn’t even the complete list) –Kate Spade –Tory Burch –DvF –Prada –Chanel(!) –TC Carlton –Cartier(!) –tumi –Calvin Klein –Coach –coco song –Salvatore Ferragamo –Maui Jim –Tom Ford –Miu Miu Can I say this is the Nordstrom of eyeglasses shops?! If you like those kind of designers this shop is right for you. I always need the 1.74 index because I’m practically blind and my lenses would be like 5 inches thick without the 1.74 index. The high index really helps with keeping lenses thinner. Unfortunately these lenses are very expensive and this place charges $ 4501.74 index lenses, imported straight from Japan! The frames themselves vary widely in styles and prices. I ended picking a metal Tory Burch one for $ 226. The Chanel ones were over $ 400. Tom Ford was in a similar range. The prada ones were around $ 300. There was even a solid gold Cartier lenses for $ 3000. I’m not Miss Moneybags so I passed. They even carry TC Carlton and the optician was explaining to me that their plastic frames have nose bridges — which suits Asians and their low bridge noses perfectly! Anyway, I had good service here. While the lenses prices are a bit high, and there doesn’t seem to be a lot of sales here(only older models go on sale 2x a year), the brand availability made the trip worth it!

I got a new pair of glasses and i really like them. I chose my own frame but Tai Chi, the friendly and knowledgeable salesman, helped guide me on what kinds of lens to get, whatnot. glasses were ready in less than a week. service can be absent at times, but that also means no pushy sales.
