Shangri-La Spa & Massage

After being stiff and sore for a few days it was memorial day weekend and I had some time to relax. I wanted to find a good massage therapist but I couldn’t find availability and any place that I normally go. So i wanted to give this place a shot.
Wow, going into this place you wont expect a deep tissue sports massage.
I talked to the therapist Rula, told her what I need and was I wrong with my first impression. She was amazing. During my massage she was able to find all the knots and spots that needed attention. With great skill and strength she worked those muscles and left me feeling like a jello.
I am feeling a little sore today, which is expected but my pain and aches are gone. I feel like I can move my joints freely and stretch as I desire.
I feel like I found a great massage therapist. I would so recommend this place to anybody.

Apparently some things have changed since September 2013… I don’t typically go for massages because it takes me a long time to relax and I have ticklish feet, so I don’t have a lot to compare my experience to. I was 4 days over due with baby #2, though, and had heard that a foot massage would do the trick to get baby moving. So I left my toddler with grandma and booked a 60 minute foot massage for only $ 30. It was incredible! I thought for sure I would be ready to leave after an hour, but I didn’t want it to end. I even fell asleep for a few minutes. And, a few hours later, I went into labor! You can’t really put a price on that. This place was great.

So I’m not sure if the business has changed hands since the last review but this is not an actual reflexology joint. Its a brothel. Google their table top showers on
. I discovered this because I actually got a gift certificate from an elderly (clueless) relative to them because they are near my house. Judging by the shocked looks on the face of the woman at the front I am the first woman in there for a while. Their boss is back in February and then a might get a refund for my Xmas gift of whorehouse credits. For now I’m just settling for this review and a quick trip to the Crossroads police substation.

There could not be a better value for a foot massage! My husband and I have been to MANY «foot massage» places. We don’t like taking our clothes off for massages, but we don’t like the mass open rooms with chairs lined up. We have been to this location about 6 times and will never go anywhere else. We get the #9, 30 min body, 30 min foot massage. (50.00) We are in a private CLEAN room (together). It is consistently marvelous! Jessica and Wendy ARE THE BEST!!!

I suffer from fibromyalgia and arthritis, and am always in search of a good massage. They know what they do in this place! The techniques are different; I would say, it’s a combo of acu-​pressure and russian stile massage, but it helps tremendously!

I’ve had my dose of massages. And I can definitely say this was quite intense! She dug so deep what I thought I could typically handle she took to a whole new level, do not come here for your light and gentle massage… Come here if you want to hurt for days before you start to feel better. Those kinks and knots were definitely worked on for sure. Felt a little uncomfortable at first trying to adjust but after a little while it was awesome.

Ive tried nearly all the inexpensive foot massage with additional arm, leg, head, body places and this was the best. As with others, very inexpensive ($ 30/​hr) but with someone who knew exactly what to do. They were able to take me with 2 hr notice. Easy parking as they are in a large shopping center. As the other reviewer noted — «phenomenal massage».

This is the reason I still enjoy having a Chinese massage. They have the right technique to push out the kinks and cricks in my body. Looks like a typical Asian massage parlor that provides foot, body, and facial massages. Of course, they always ask if the strength they use is too hard and this is the first location I felt the «hard» massage was too hard for me. Call it «legit» if you will.
Phenomenal massage and price worthy.

Shangri-​La is one of many Asian massage services that have sprung up all over the Eastside, with approximately the same services and price list. It’s clean, appears totally legit inside, and both times I visited I’ve had a terrific massage for a very reasonable price. They are in the same shopping center as Szechuan Chef.
1 hour reflexology and seated/​clothed body massage: this was a terrific value at $ 30 for an entire hour of massage. It begins with your feet in an herbal soak and the therapist works for 30 minutes on your hands, arms, neck, and back over your clothing. Then you lean back in the reclining chair and have an additional 30 minutes of very firm foot reflexology (at times painful but a good pain.)
1 hour table massage: this is a table massage which is like a cross between Swedish and traditional Chinese massage. A few key differences were 1 — much less draping. I got a small towel instead of a sheet. 2 — therapist will use very firm pressure, like a deep tissue massage if you request it (you can request a lighter massage too.) This was $ 50.
Both times I visited I got the feeling I was the first white woman client in a long time, but the therapists were great. I’ll be back.
