Many people come and it’s a clean resultant. They serve tea and peas in the beginning. Wait is not long, maybe 5 – 10 min even though reaurant was full. Come here if you want sushi and in the area !

Good authentic Japanese food! Service is a little slow but the food is worth the wait!

Serving up Japanese classics like mom used to. Sometimes it’s hard to find traditional Japanese dishes besides the standard teriyaki and sushi. Tokyo fills that much needed gap with its large menu from sushi to sukiyaki. The food is pretty good, tastes like home cooking. The décor and atmosphere goes for the traditional Japanese restaurant, nothing flashy or trendy similar to the food. The service is friendly and polite, nothing to complain about. Go here if you’re looking for Japanese food that you don’t often find at some of the more trendy, hip eateries.

This place is soo expensive, but probably some of the freshest sushi you’ll get in the Factoria/east side. They have really good sashimi/sushi dinner combos that come with rice, salad, soup, and of course super fresh fish! Their sashimi is cut pretty thick and has that buttery texture that you’d want! They also have really good rolls! Definitely recommend the lion king! It’s a baked roll and is always so warm and savory — a good change from the light and fresh experience you get from sashimi! Overall, I’d say this place is good for special occasions(like your birthday — bring your ID and get one entrée free!) and enjoy yourself when you do go!

I’ll keep it short and sweet: *over priced *bad quality food *horrible customer service and just service in general(Kelly was our«server») I won’t ever be coming back. It was such a waste of money.

I really used to love Tokyo because the prices were fair and the service was pretty decent. Over the years this restaurant has increased their prices and their quality has slowly declined. Service — they are rather quick to get you to a table, but more than half the time you need to flag someone down after 15 minutes of waiting to order. They will forget things constantly, order the wrong food(I had one waiter order fried shrimp when I asked for their specialty scallop roll) and almost NEVER refill your water. If you order sashimi or rolls and ask for them before the meal, then you must love to gamble. Your dishes will either come out at the same time or you’ll have to remind the waiter you ordered sashimi, which will take longer. Food — the food is decent, but over the years prices have slowly increased. What was now a bargain is now overpriced mediocrity. The Tekka Don is a good dish, and their nebiyaki udon is good too. But nothing ever comes out at the same time! You’ll have half of your party who will have their dishes and will have to wait 5 – 10 minutes for the other people to get their food. Unless you simply order from their sashimi/sushi/appetizer menu which has a slightly higher chance of coming out around the same time. Prices — Honestly? Overpriced. Two pieces of sashimi run around $ 6.50 on their red menu and most rolls are in the $ 12 – 14 range(8 pieces). They have an entrée which is literally 10 pieces of assorted sashimi for $ 30! If he service was decent I wouldn’t mind paying that, but it really isn’t close. Overall, I’m more sad than mad at this restaurant because I’ve been going here for years. Watching the service and food quantity/quality decline while prices increased is now making me look for a better place to get my sushi fix.

The food and chefs are great but the service is very slow, taking wrong orders, not filling up the tea even thought the place is not busy, not putting soy sauce on the table while serving Sushi. Probably not coming back.

I highly recommend the Bento Box for lunch. For just $ 12 you get Miso Soup, a small bowl of Udon, 4 piece Sushi Roll and a Nigiri, plus the hot entrée of the day(e.g. Pork Katsu, Salmon Teriyaki) and Sunomono. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. Be forewarned they are usually packed during lunch hours on the weekdays, as there are a lot of businesses nearby(mine included), and they will sell out of the bento boxes if you don’t get there early enough. Service is also decent enough when you take into account how many tables each server must watch. Summation: The Bento Box is by far the best bang for your buck, with fresh sushi and friendly service to boot.

I used to come here all the time 20 years. It has not been maintained. The place has bugs and discussing carpet and bathroom. The sushi was ok. I will not be coming here anymore.

I usually find Japanese sushi bars to be pretty typical across the board but this place really stood out to me. We got here right in time for its opening and everything about it was perfect! I had never had Sukiyaki before so I decided to try the beef one and it was seriously fantastic. As I write this, I’m actually contemplating going back there later today. :) They had so many additional«twists» on regular Japanese fare. They have a ton of non-fish options for sushi(I know, I’m weird.) including one that I want to try that has cucumber and teriyaki chicken. Random! Can’t wait to come back and try this place again!

We only come here once or twice a year during our birthday. I think Tokyo is the only restaurant around still promote free for birthday if you buy one with equal price. With. that we usually order two most expensive dishes we can find on the menu like sashimi plate and bento.

Been here twice now for sushi. We have enjoyed the sushi here more than anywhere else we have tried. When we sat at the sushi bar the gentleman was very helpful in picking out fresh items for the day. We loved the Mt Ranier and Lion King. Crispy Alaska is another favorite. The gyoza is way better than anywhere else we have been. Both times we enjoyed the sushi. The place isn’t too tiny. Not super clean, especially if you walk back to the bathrooms. But it seems clean by the sushi men, so we do eat here. I do think it’s pricey and when we sat at the table, service was slower. Until I find a better sushi place we will be back

The food isn’t too bad, but it is on the pricey side. I like their daily lunch bento boxes, and they have a different ones for each day, but it’s about $ 12, and you don’t get too much. You get a small bowl of Udon soup with the lunch special, which I always eat the whole thing to fill myself up more so I can feel fulfilled after I eat the whole lunch special.

It’s expensive. For one nigiri pair, tonkatsu meal, and diet coke… I paid over $ 30. It was a cute meal but really not worth the amount. The tonkatsu meal came with a good amount of pork, but it was really flavorless without a good dousing of the sauce. There was salad, cucumber side dish, rice, and miso soup… all which tasted fine but doesn’t really justify the exorbitant price. Then came the seared salmon and I shut up. It was SOGOOD. I was sitting at the sushi bar feeling kinda grumpy because of a) the price and b) I had just power walked from eastgate when I took a bite and immediately met Jesus. Will be back for the salmon as soon as I get another bonus.

Disappointment! The food is Japanese-like, which is how 3 of us described it. It’s not bad but beyond sushi, which we really didn’t have, the food is more general Asian. It is more Cantonese take on Japanese because that’s the staff here. It was good and the staff was nice. They never brought 2 spoons for the soups my fellow dinners needed but ok. The décor is what you expect from a place trying to be Japanese when no one there is Japanese.

A PLEASANTSURPRISE We came here because Musashi was full and there was a wait. Tokyo has been here for ever, but we have never tried it. Honestly, our expectations were pretty low. When the Miso Soup and the Sunomono came first, our worst fears seemed confirmed. The soup was bland and the cucumbers had not absorbed any of the vinegar dressing. So, when we got our entrees and they were good, we were very happy. The Curry and Rice with Ebi Furai was a very pleasant surprise. Japanese curry is relatively easy to make, but restaurants seem to have trouble making a decent version. This was a generous portion of very good tasting curry along with three plump fried shrimp. Very comforting dish. We also got a Hamachi Kama. The collar of the Yellowtail used to be thrown away, but lately has become very popular as an exceptionally flavor packed piece of fish. The high fat content of Yellowtail makes it a perfect cut for grilling seasoned with just salt. Its almost impossible to do this dish badly, and as expected, it was delicious. By the end of the meal, we were very satisfied.

I’ve been to Tokyo multiple times, but ordered a bento box for the first time today. They feature a special bento each day of the week and I enjoy the variety. I came here around 11:15 or so and there was barely anyone inside, however it got pretty busy near noon… employees from T-Mobile and other nearby offices stop-in for lunch, explaining the rush. The service is always great. The staff is very attentive, friendly and welcoming… they make sure you’re doing well and have everything that you need. Today, the manager was interacting with the customers, which was nice of him! ***Today’s(Thursday) bento featured salmon teriyaki, agedashi tofu and potato salad. It also included California Roll, one Ebi, salad, and udon(choose between udon or rice). I liked the salmon — it was cooked well with a wonderful teriyaki glaze. The potato salad was warm, but tasted fresh… like the potatoes were cooked and then used immediately for the salad. The tofu was fine, a bit on the dry side though. It’s nice that Tokyo gives you the option of having udon or rice with the bento. For something different, I chose the udon, which was a small serving that came with a shrimp tempura, yum! I came with one other person and we underestimated the size of the bento.(TIP) Don’t make the same mistake! The bento is pretty filling in itself since it includes so many components. ***We decided to order two side sushis — a Spider Roll and Loehmann’s Roll. The Loehmann’s Roll is like a shrimp tempura roll, but with asparagus, which actually gives it a nice crunch. The Spider Roll is a bit expensive as it’s around $ 12, and only comes with 4(big) pieces. Altogether, it was A LOT of food. Two grown men sitting across from us seemed satisfied after just the bento, and here we were with two additional sushi dishes… A wonderful experience as always! Hoping to be back to try the other bento options.

I came here for lunch with a friend because I was craving sushi after two full weeks of eating heavy meals. I ordered the sushi plate which took some time before showing up. My friend already had all of his food and at one point joked that they must be out catching the fish for my sushi plate. The food was ok. I definitely had way better quality of sushi. Presentation was sloppy and definitely not authentic. I’m not sure I’ll be back any time soon.

I love bento lunch set here. A lot of food and come with big bowl of udon for only 13.09 $. Tempura is really crispy and fluffy here. I don’t eat raw fish so no comment on all raw fish menu. The service is good but avoid lunch time weekday. Hard to park and you have to wait to get in sometimes.
