They’re closing the Bellevue location on April 1st, 2016. The Lynwood location will remain open. Smh.

I wanted to try this place out, I’ve heard good things. My daughter and I both ordered banh mi, the grilled pork and grilled chicken. It was good; they gave out a lot of meat, and the bread stayed in tact, but there was a downfall, the reason being why I’m not completely crazy over their sandwiches. There was not enough sauce and the jalapeños weren’t spicy. However, it was better than any other place to get banh mi where I live.

Came here based on the good reviews. I ordered the grilled pork banh mi and hubby the chicken banh mi… It was delicious. However my grilled pork had a little too much fat for my liking hence the 4 stars. Still food was excellent the Vietnamese coffee excellent as well. Will definitely be back :)

Vietnamese sandwich just like it’s supposed to be — the sandwich itself is super delicious, please don’t put the extra sauce till you’ve tried it like it’s meant to be tried — without the sauce! Who needs ambience when the food is this good! Upgraded the sandwich with egg, definitely worth it! The coffee is super great too… Dense and sweet. The prices are very reasonable too.

Originally, had gone here because my hubby and I really wanted some vietnamese coffee, and this one one of few places that were open in the evening(that I was able to find via google). The food smelled so good, even though we didn’t intend on ordering food, we ended up ordering the grilled pork banh mi. I have to give props to the one girl who was the only worker there — going back and forth on making drinks, the sandwiches, and cashiering. The banh mi was totally worth it, and I appreciate it when it’s freshly made, vs being made and sitting out for a long time. The flavors were on point. I liked that the bread wasn’t too crunchy to the point where the bread would flake everywhere. Décor of this place? ehhh not so great, but there’s ample amount of seating if you want to eat there.

I had a hankerin’ for a banh mi. The problem was I was in Bellevue. Not exactly the banh mi capital of the Puget Sound area. A little background… I have eaten a ton of banh mi sandwiches in my life. When my office was in Seattle, I averaged 2 a week for about 3 years. I went to several of the Vietnamese restaurants in the International District to spread the love. I’m not sure why people are giving 4 and 5 star ratings, maybe they haven’t had a good banh mi. I’ve been to the Lynnwood Yeh Yeh’s restaurant and wasn’t very impressed, I thought maybe they’re different. Wrong! This ain’t the International District where there is a ton of competition, so you have good quality and low prices. I had the BBQ pork bahn mi and wasn’t too impressed. Here’s my issues: 1) The prices are really high compared to the ID. The same sandwich there is $ 2.75. 2) They are slow. Most of the banh mi shops in the ID take about 5 minutes to get you your sandwich. I was there for 15. 3) They used shredded pork, which I’ve not experienced. Usually it’s the sliced Chinese style BBQ pork(char siu). What was good is they use the same bakery that all the Vietnamese shops use. If there were a couple of banh mi shops in the area, the prices would come down and the quality would go up. Simple economics. I may go back, but I’d have to be really craving one.

Ah, sad! The long line at lunch was promising and I thought there would be a good grilled pork Vietnamese sandwich waiting for me on the other end. This place had poor line management and the food was disappointing. My sandwich was cold in the middle and the meat didn’t have that char flavor that I always look forward to. The bread was too soft even though they toasted it and lacked the nice crisp crunch. Don’t order ahead of time. The girl behind me placed a to-go order on the phone and came to pick up. They told her that pick up is the same line as the order line. She didn’t save any time ordering ahead of time and her food was sitting behind the counter. Better to order there and get it fresh. Like another Unilocaler said, this place would not stand up to the other Vietnamese sandwich delis on Seattle. The high reviews for this place just let me down!

Very good banh mi sandwiches here and the grilled pork one we tried was very tasty and big. I like the fact that they toast your bun which adds that extra crunch and you can tell that they take their time to make each and every sandwich. The grilled pork was seasoned well and had a nice flavor. All the veggies tasted fresh and crisp especially the jalapenos which definitely added some extra spice. The prices here are very reasonable for all the menu items and even though their selection isn’t very big, it is adequate for you to choose what you like as they have beef, chicken and pork. They can get busy here quickly as the restaurant isn’t very large and even though they do have about 5 tables, most people I saw here mostly got their sandwiches as takeout. I haven’t had a chance to try many banh mi places, but this one here will be hard to beat as I really enjoyed my sandwich and with it being on the Eastside, it isn’t too far for me to go for my next sandwich fix.

Went there for a sandwich today and a piece of hair was presented to me on the sandwich upon the unwrapping. milk tea was also blah… The staff was really nice, apologetic and made me a new sandwich but hair is just one of those things that really turns me off… hmm going to think 2x before heading back.

I love visiting Yeh Yeh’s. They are often packed at lunchtime with a line out the door, but it’s worth the wait. Every time I try to get a different Vietnamese sandwich, and I love them all. They also have Thai tea that goes great with the sandwiches. The seating is very limited with only a few tables to choose from. The area seems very cramped, and will sometimes seem dirty. The employees aren’t always the friendliness or have the best customer service, but they really try to get everyone moving through the line efficiently, which I really appreciate. As a tip, they offer takeout. If I’ve been in a hurry, I’ve just called ahead so it’s ready for me upon arrival.

OMG. Bahn Mi and Boba. What more could you ask for? I made a special trip here for lunch on my work trip because I had read this place had the best Bahn Mi in the Seattle area. I was not disappointed! You can also get any Bahn Mi Sandwich as I giant salad and suggest getting it will all the fixings a fish sauce dressing. Also my lychee boba HITTHESPOT. Out in Bellevue in a strip mall but well worth the drive!

Super disorganized ordering system. One gal was taking orders and making the sandwiches. She took 4 or maybe 5 orders after taking mine while she was making my sandwich. Kept stopping to take orders which didn’t make any sense to me. I also got an iced coffee which someone in the back made and brought it to the front to the gal making sandwiches/taking orders but I didn’t want to interrupt her any more than she already was to ask if that was my coffee and if I could drink it while I waited for my order. I was probably waiting for 10 – 15 minutes. I think it could have taken a lot shorter of time had she finished my order instead of stopping to take more orders. She was apologetic about the wait and was very nice, but just needed to get a better system. Sandwich was OK. Jalapenos had no kick and meat was OK. For the experience I had, I wouldn’t return because I don’t think the wait was worth it.

Wow, their banh mi sandwiches are so yummy! I always get the grilled beef with jalapeños. The bread is fresh toasted and very crunchy. The only reason I’m not giving five stars is because the interior of the store seems like it needs a definite remodel. It’s not dirty, but everything seems old and dated and just… not attractive. I wouldn’t want to eat inside there. Most people seem to get their order to-go.

Very disappointed. If this is the Bahn Mi the Seattle area has to offer, I’m a little sad. First of all, the choice isn’t what it should be. If you are a strictly bahn mi place, why such a limited choice of sandwiches? They didn’t even carry my favorite, sardines! Secondly, that was a sad sad tofu bahn mi. One of the worst even. Most tofu bahn mi are big disappointments, but this one more so than usual. The bread was soggy(bread on a bahn mi should be light and crisp!), there was way too much mayonnaise, the mayonnaise wasn’t even garlic mayonnaise(really?!), there were hardly any pickled vegetables, and they had left off the jalapenos. The tofu wasn’t fried well either. All in all a dismal sandwich. However their grilled chicken sandwich(ordered for my son) was much better. The sandwich was put together much better in general and the flavors were well balanced. Maybe they aren’t used to making vegetarian fare. Bread was still too soft for bahn mi in my opinion. We also ordered the green papaya salad with tofu. Basically a pile of shredded green papaya and tofu. Some pickled vegetables. It wasn’t great although a good portion for the price. Doubtful that we will return.

Papaya salad and Bahn Mi are my go/tos. The joint is little more than a countertop and a line of plastic tables that lead to the bathroom… But it’s clean and the veggies are always super fresh. If yer in Bellevue and wand a quick stop bite with plenty of parking this place has got your back… And will feed your front with some tasty ass vittles.

Wow this isn’t your typical Vietnamese sandwich shop in that the sandwich is a really good sized sandwich, the bread is super fresh and it is stuffed full of really good food! I got mine to go and ordered the Bbq pork and ham and my thinking was I would eat it at home. I decided I had to try a bite. I sat in my car and proceeded to eat the rest of the sandwich because it was the best Vietnamese sandwich I have ever had in my life and I have had my fair share. Their red chili sauce is awesome and I tried one of their egg rolls split two with a friend and it was also very good. I will be back to this place often!!! Thank you Yeh Yeh’s for the excellent sandwich!!!

Woohoo! I made it! Lucky for me, I was headed out to Bellevue today to make a delivery for a customer & figured I would make the detour to visit this yummy little sandwich shop. When I saw little, I mean little. It’s pretty tiny. The tables are pushed up against the wall & you can only seat 2. My suggestion would be to order to go, you can also call in your order — do that. It was a pretty quick wait though, honestly. Less than 10 minutes, I was in & out. I got the Griled Pork Bahn Mi with jalapeño added(YUM!). The bread was so soft, but toasted to perfection. The meat was tender & the veggies + jalapeño…so much yes. Serving size is pretty big too(like double the size of a JJ sandwich, the loaf they put it on is wider). I can’t wait to go back & try the other sandwiches they have on their menu! But bring cash — the sandwiches are under $ 5(if you don’t get a meal) & they charge you a $ 0.50 for anything less than $ 5 on your card.

These folks really know how to make a sandwich. Great food, great prices, and good location make this a pretty regular lunch spot for me given how close it is to my work. So far I’ve stuck with the pork banh mi because it’s so delicious although at some point I’ll have to try some of their other menu items like the BBQ brisket or the Philly. The one drawback to this place is how it just looks old and run down and the staff, while efficient, always seem just a little off their game, but you can’t really blame them too much with how busy they are all day long. Either way, this is definitely a place worth checking out if you are in the mood for a really good Vietnamese style sandwich.

I’m not sure what all of the hype is about because I was completely disappointed with my banh mi and noodle salad. I ordered a grilled pork banh mi, but it was more like a vegetable banh mi considering the ratio of vegetables to meat. There was hardly any meat; for the meat was chopped up into tiny pieces. Most places use a special mayonnaise, so I was surprised that their sandwiches didn’t have it. That being said, I couldn’t figure out why the bread was so soggy — there wasn’t any sauce! But it could’ve been the mass amount of pickled vegetables. As for the noodle salad, it was nothing spectacular. It had the same small pieces of pork and the egg rolls didn’t have any taste. It would’ve been better to choose another meat option. It also came with a side of herbs, which were sparse in comparison with other photos on Unilocal. There are such better places for banh mi/noodle salad! Try Saigon Sunset instead!

Thought it was good but my boyfriend who’s actually Vietnamese said that they don’t use some special sauce that other banh mi places in international district make it with. However, it being only my second time having banh mi, I thought it was yummy! The bread was nicely toasted, had a good crunch on the outside but was soft on the inside, the veggies tasted really fresh and crisp(kicker were the spicy jalapeños!) and the meat had that yummy Vietnamese seasoning but tasted kind of dry(idk if that’s how it’s supposed to be?) Altogether, thought it was a convenient spot to pop in and grab a quick Viet sammy! They also have other types of gourmet sandwiches, salads(veggie and papaya) and bubble tea!
