Superior Grocers

I had to give it one star otherwise I would have not. This place has terrible customer service! The cashiers weren’t trained or trained by the wrong people. I notice the younger the staff are the more rude or unconcerned with being nice and wanting return visits. I’ve tried going here more than I should have and getting the cases water on that were on sale. I asked for help out and they cashier didn’t even call anyone for a few minutes and when I enquired about it she pointed to someone who was at a cashier line and he didn’t even know he would help me. And the young gentlemen that helped me with putting them in my vehicle were more gracious than the cashiers there. I’d rather go to the one further away on Cherry Avenue, than this one is less than a mile away from my house. Word of advice Superior Staff, train your employees to smile and say hello when they see a customer!!!

Worse expiernce ever I have coming for many year and first time time I come and get bad costumer service she was on the phone while I was paying I asked her if I can get cash back then the transaction was finished I asked can I get cash back she replied you need to purchased something or you should of told me like I just asked you twice and you where on the phone? Thank you, Superior Grocers for everything you do. This was my first time visiting this store and I was so pleased by almost everything about the presentation, accessibilities, and services. I told my hubby this evening that we have a new store now. I’m looking forward to showing off «my» («our») new store this weekend when we go grocery shopping. Keep up the great work!

My favorite Superior Grocery in the area…

Wow Superior… you guys really messed up! To think I shop at your El Monte location… but no more… yesterday you guys made me feel like a criminal… granted I know we are in Bellflower, but damn…
My buddy works there as a cashier, and I had to go pick up my music notebook from him, I pulled up to the very front of the store on my motorcycle, I texted him that I was outside, and he texted me back to come inside as he could not leave his post. I went and parked my motorcycle, and since it was going to be a quick thing, I decided not to take off my helmet or my frog and i had my Icon Stryker vest on. I did take off my gloves.
As soon as I walk into the store, I see like 5 loss prevention agents standing around the front of the store, all dressed up in their nice little suits… so I thought to myself… uh oh… maybe i should take off my helmet, so i did… I had my frog underneath my helmet, so now i looked like a robber!!! Crap… i saw one guy reach inside his jacket, so I yanked that off as well! I walked up to my buddy, grabbed my notebook, and then turned around to see I was surrounded by 5 guys, granted, they didn’t say anything to me, but one guy was suspiciously holding onto something on the inside of his jacket, and the other guys were following me with their eyes!
I said goodbye to my friend, and proceeded to walk out the door, while these guys «herded» me through the door. WTF SUPERIOR!!! I WILL NEVER EVER GO TO ANY OF YOUR STORES, AND I AM GOING TO LET MY CLUB BUDDIES KNOW HOW YOU TREATED ME AND TELL THEM TO TELL EVERYONE THEY KNOW, NOT TO GO TO YOUR STORES… thats messed up and its also called profiling… NO BUENO!!!
Bellflower must have made one hell of a name for itself, when people wearing helmets are considered criminals, or we are there to create a criminal act…

They have a really good bakery here, nice small location too! Really convenient location.

I’ve only been to one other Superior (Cherry and Market) but I was impressed with this one. It replaced the nasty smelly market that used to be here and it looks like they really tried to make it look nice.
There are wood-​colored floors in the produce section and natural food bulk bins. I even taught some customers how to grind their own fresh peanut butter here for less than $ 2 per pound.
It wasn’t as crowded and the lines weren’t as long as the other Superior. And the cashier was actually friendly!
I think this location is trying to compete with Winco nearby and a bit of competition is healthy!
Lots of parking, in lot shared with McDonalds.

Well it is a big inprovement over what was here it is clean and there is no smell. that said sort of a let down all other Superior stores I have ben in are much nicer. This is a very small store .and the turn around was quick so I guess that is why it is a bit bland. prices are ok. If you live close this is a nice addition if not dont bother to travel. nothing to see here.
