Terry Morgan «the plumber» came to my home to give me a quote on Svc. he called ahead to let me know… rudely…that the first 10min was the est charge of $ 38 then it was $ 251 after that. Not at all what the receptionist told me. At this point he is 10 min away and usually plumbing requests are somewhat desperate. So I send him to my rental property. After 15min he calls to tell me there’s a bunch of problems. This not being my skill I have no idea what the parts are or what to fix. I ask him for a estimate/​quote so I can explain the problem to my hubby and pricing. Or what if I want to compare with another company? Terry Morgan takes a deep breath then says that he would have to go back to the shop and wrote it up and that would be $ 89. Seriously?! I really thought he was joking. Nope. Not joking. Consumer law states if you paid for an estimate then you get to get it in writing. Then Terry just so you know the law also states the charged price has to be within 15% of that estimate. Legally. Thank god my dad always told me to get several estimates. The next two gave me estimates immediately and I saved money on the repair.
Apparently they have canned this guy which was smart. I hope to not need your service but if I do I’ll give you another chance. Thanks for the great talk.

I don’t often have a need for plumbing or electrical work, but on the few occasions that I have, these guys knock it out of the park. If you were to imagine the presentable people that some of the national commercials show their people being like, these guys truly take it to the next level. Even the booties! They always clean up after themselves and leave things in better shape than they were before. I have had them out for water heaters in my primary home, as well as my rental, installed new breaker panels, and replaced a toilet for me. These guys have done such a consistent job that I don’t even shop around anymore.

This company did not honor the 6 year warranty on the water heater we purchased from then less than one year ago. They wanted $ 500 to replace one element and $ 800 for both elements and about $ 300 for a service charge. I called the company that manufactured the water heater and they told me that they always replace both elements if one goes out (for ANY reason) and the cost of the replacement elements would be FREE to me, because of my warranty. The repair person from Dynamic told me that I had caused the problem so the warranty was not valid. The manufacturer told me that this was not true and sent out a technician to repair BOTH elements with only a $ 100 service visit charge.

Originally I was very disappointed as I felt the price was much too high for the work done (install ceiling fan, fix an outlet and take down a fixture). The work was completed in 3 hours and it was not difficult to complete — no parts, labor only. At time of quote I was told it could be more or less depending upon what job involved. When tech was finished I asked about the bill and told the cost was the original quote with no adjustment (one ‘fix’ involved pushing a button to reset a gfi outlet).
After reading my review, I was contacted by the GM of Dynamic. He was concerned about my lack of satisfaction and reached out to ‘make it right.’ We spoke pleasantly on the phone for about 20 minutes. It seemed he wanted to confirm that his technician was not the issue — he was not. In the end he cut the cost of the service call to what seems a much fairer price. I am satisfied with the service call after the price adjustment and now give 4 stars. Thanks to Steve and crew at Dynamic for their interest in ‘getting it right,’ before, during and after.
