There is a lot to take in when you enter — many comics and collectables. Pretty much every comic you could want or ever think of is in this store. I had my eye on a zombie model kit, looked pretty cool. There were a couple kits so maybe next time I’m in I will buy it if it’s still there. My boyfriend got a Star Wars comic but that’s all we left with. I liked the giant E.T. in the back of the store.

You know that scene in Pulp Fiction where the serial killers are using a store as a front, well this has that same kind of feel. It’s dark, the windows are completely blocked and the kid at the register is the stereotypical comic shop guy sitting there watching the TV while you stumble around the shop.
I’ve been to comic shops all over the world, and this reminds me of some of the off the main path bookstores in Europe but without the cappuccinos or snooty attitudes, although I think I’d prefer snooty over the blank stare of comic book kid.
Open some windows, dust the stock and give that kid a cup of Java.

love the chicken whenever i have money to spend on comics (not that often lol) i take a ride to the chicken they have a great selection of stuff and very friendly staff

This is by far the best comic shop I have ever visited. They have (or can get) just about anything you may want. The staff is very knowledgable on golden, silver and modern age comics. They have HUGE back issue bins and hundreds a of long boxes of additional books. The «wall books» are always fairly graded and priced and they are restocked weekly!
Rubber Chicken offers great discounts for subscribers, has awesome regular sales and they do up a Free Comic Book Day event like no other store! Check them out and you won’t be sorry. Their on staff artist Joe Medeiros does amazing things cheap (commissions, sketch covers & prints) and the shop is releasing their first book «Ace Chicken Space Chicken» in 2014!

I’d give this store 5 stars if only it was bigger. For such a small store, the owners have really used the space effectively. They have a pretty good selection of older comics as well as all the new comics you’d want. They have mostly newer toys but they do get in vintage toys as well. They are always friendly and the store is always clean and organized. A nice gem in the middle of nowhere.
