Great staff. The owner is always pleasant and friendly and made it a point to learn my name, something I respect as a small business owner. Clean, attractive, well cared for facilities. Fair prices. I won’t go anywhere else.

Getting a tan in Bellingham is harder than it looks. After a couple failed attempts at some other businesses in the area I finally found Sol two years ago. I have been going to them every since. They are a little more expensive but it is worth it. The owner is super nice and really cares about her customers. I try to do the monthly packages but can’t seem to get in enough so I love that they have packages that don’t expire.

I’m new to tanning so I have nothing to compare Sol to except the beds of the 1980s and my expectations. I cannot imagine a better experience. Lots of options. Easy. Quick. Clean. Friendly. Helpful. Fun! I’m hooked.

I’ll admit: I go tanning once in awhile. One of the fastest ways I shake off the lack of sun is by treating myself to a basic tan.
Unlike Desert Sun or many of the other tanning salons in Bellingham AND in Seattle, SOL doesn’t bombard you with overpriced packages and obscenely expensive lotions.
I walked in and was immediately welcomed by a healthy looking young woman whose skin was just tan RATHER than a burnt orange color (what a relief to see that their employees know the difference between product promotion and full-blown tanning addiction). I filled out the short release form and received a short tour from the employee. She couldn’t have been nicer and more upbeat. :-)
I know some friends have had interesting experiences with SOL, but my tanning bed was clean, the staff friendly and nonjudgmental, AND last — but not least — appropriately priced.

I love SOL. The staff is always great and they dont make you feel bad if you are super pale.
They are helpful fun and the place is very clean.
