Great place for bulk teas and spices — as well as in house mixed tea blends. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful if you ask. Probably the best tasting tea outside Market Spice in Pike Place. I probably go once every two weeks to stock up(we drink a lot of tea). I’ve introduced a few friends to it.

I’m so glad I discovered this place a few months ago! Hands down best price in Bellingham for loose bulk tea. An older gal was working there today and was super helpful with suggestions. After choosing about 2 different types of black tea, I took my time meandering around the shop. They have so many unique gizmos and gadgets! I found out today that they also sell bulk cocoa butter as well as beeswax(I make homemade solid-lotion bars)! Saves me a trip over to Otions. PS: The Spice Hut is an outrageously overpriced franchise! I stopped going there once I discovered this place.

I wandered in the other day. The boyfriend had surprised me with a tea infuser so we could expand our tea horizons. My first visit was a magical experience. I had a very fun off-kilter conversation with a fellow customer about tea and everything under the sun. He talked me into trying a special house blend that’s supposed to give interesting dreams. I also bought a black tea(Ceylon) with rose. The prices seemed very reasonable. Will definitely visit again.

Spice blends mixed in house that are superb and priced extremely well! When you walk in, the smell is just yum and the help is phenomenal. This has been around for forty years and I can see why– a great spot to find tinctures, loose leaf tea, lotions, balms, etc! I bought curry, an Ethiopian spice, turmeric, ginger root powder, and market spice teastraight from Pike’s Place in Seattle– all for under 10 dollars! Love this place!

I love this place! I went to school in Bellingham and found this gem. Now I live far away but whenever I’m in town I stop here because the tea is amazing! Try the pineapple white tea or peach oolong they are two of my favs. The staff there is helpful and nice. They even offer to ship my tea now that I live far away. My boyfriend says they are comparable to indian tea and herb shops. A great place to stop for all tea and herb needs.

Oh man do I wish I could be in Bellingham more! I will definitely need to get more tea when I’m here next week! This is a one stop shop for tea and spice lovers alike. Most bulk items are less that $ 2 per ounce and very fresh. They have a lot of things you wouldn’t normally find like salt mixes, vanilla powder, etc. as well as the normal stuff like italian seasoning, etc. but it smells so fresh I had to get some here! I don’t know much about all of the misc weird herbs they have and medicinal herbal stuff but I’m loving the standard tea and spices. The cashier is super nice too :) I’ve been making a lovely iced summer drink with sugar(or sugar substitute), lemon juice, and their blueberry black tea! Also enjoying the Kyoto cherry green tea! Edit: Went back and this time the owner was there(last time her daughter was working). She was SO sweet and helpful. :) I bought a ton more tea and she helped me find a lot of good ones!

My favorite store in Bellingham. This store has been owned and operated by the same family for three generations. They have a great selection and they carry wild and/or organically harvested herbs. They buy and harvest in small batches so the herbs are fresh. They carry spices too. Love this store!

I’ve never really been a fan of this store because they sell their tea from jars(tea is best kept in dark and air tight places) and I can definitely taste a difference between their teas and properly stored teas. But I’ve gone mostly because I haven’t found a tea store in bellingham that doesn’t serve from jars yet. After my most recent experience I will not be returning. I went in and ordered an ounce of tea, when the cashier asked me to grab the jar I asked if I could have it straight from the package instead and she rudely told me that she just refilled the jar this morning and that the jar was easier, the look she gave me made me feel really stupid. So I decided not to buy that tea, paid for the other I had on the counter and walked out. Prices are reasonable though, and if you’re used to tea from glass/plastic jars you’ll probably think the tea is fine. Though I strongly suggest finding a place that sells fresh tea instead.

This is without question the best tea/herbal shop I’ve been to in Bellingham. If I had had more time, and maybe a second visit will grant me that, I may have given this place five stars. Draws are the clear glass containers of tea blends, with labels identifying all ingredients and best uses for the teas.

I have never actually been inside of this store, as I am not from the area. My friend came back from his WA trip and raved about this little tea shop he found. Once I tasted the Kyoto cherry tea he brought back, I knew I had to get some, too. Luckily, you can place your order by phone. I absolutely love the Peaceful Feeling and Dreamer’s teas. Both are very potent and I swear they help me enjoy deeper sleep. I also like the two oolongs I purchased– very mild and brew nicely. The best thing is that the prices are reasonable. Most tea shops in my area are usually over-priced and do not have a selection to my liking. Shipping was very fast and I will definitely re-order.

I love this store! They have a very well-stocked and varied selection of herbs and spices. I always find exactly what I am looking for, along with other intriguing things. It’s really neat that a number of their offerings are wildcrafted. My partner adores teas so I really love their tea selection, too: all the standard types plus the ones that are semi hard to find.
