I’m not surprised to read the other 1 star reviews. I work in a dental office in Manhattan, and I am trying to find a dental practice in Long Island for my family members. The office staff are very impersonal. I spoke to Tricia over the phone, asking for the cost of a periodontal maintenance and exam, and she put me on hold without even telling me. Then another staff member picked up to help me and realized that she picked up the wrong line and put me back on hold. When Tricia came back on the line she let me know that she spoke to her office manager they couldn’t give us any fees until being evaluated. Understandable, but I explained that my parents recently had a full set of xrays and diagnosed with perio, and would simply need a maintenance visit and exam. After speaking to her office manager one more time she let me know of the fees. Turns out their fees were even higher than my office in Manhattan. If not for this disappointing experience I had over the phone, I would have scheduled an appointment, as it was recommended by a friend.

The office staff and Dr Kaufman were pleasant enough. Dr Kaufman works in three offices so you never are quite sure where he will be. I called with a question and never received an answer. Why does he have hair in his pictures and is completely bald in person? Ivy Leaguer? I think not, more like University of Maryland. I asked him why would a DDS administer botox? He said, «Because I can.» He gave me a load of RX’s for my upcoming surgery which I believe to be too much. I found out the oral rinse causes teeth discoloration. Enough said.

I put my trust in Dr Kaufman and I am now paying the price for my trust. Honestly, my teeth and gums have never been the same, GOELSEWHERE!
