Bryan [boyfriend] used to work here, so we visit from time to time, say hi, eat some awesome food — can’t go wrong. The staff is always so nice and accommodating. It’s a little small and the entry is cramped with the bar, but once you get past the hustle and bustle, it’s so worth it. Start with the baked clams. These are the BEST baked clams you will ever have. No exaggeration here, I promise. We order them by the tray for Christmas, and really all other events. They are always a hit and you will not be sorry. [Unless you don’t get them, then your meal will never be complete.] They give you bread and oil, the ‘A’ they make out of what I’m guessing is balsamic vinegar is always perfect, I’m still trying to figure that out. I’ve had the chicken parm and the shrimp parm, both fantastic. I’m more of a pasta person, so I’ve also tried the Lasagna Napoletana. I’m probably missing some items because I’ve been here more than a handful of times. The bar menu offers a Stuffie — a bread bowl filled with your choice of sausage and peppers or chicken parm [sometimes they do chicken francese –WOW this is my favorite one] but I usually order it when we are seated at a table because it’s my favorite thing ever. Drinks are alright, I ordered an apple pie martini once [it was on their drink menu] and it was way too strong that I could smell the liquor from across the table, that’s kind of hit or miss. Everything else makes up for the one instance I had too strong of a drink. Avino’s is nice because you can have a really nice, classy dinner or go decently casual. You can sit at a white table cloth table or hang at the bar. I love places that have multiple atmospheres to cater to different types of people. Price range varies because you can spend more or less depending on what type of dining experience you’re trying to have.

Just had my bridal shower here and the food and service was excellent. Just didn’t like how the room upstairs for the party was two different levels it was hard to communicate with people in the other room.

Avino’s is a terrific restaurant. This is food as it should be. The egg plant Parmesan my wife had is the best(of course I tried it). The meal I had pasta, beans, sausage and broccoli rabe was perfect. The staff is exceptional. Ask to be seated in Kathleen’s area. She is the best. bravo Avino’s.

We reserved a spot for Valentine’s Day a couple weeks ago. Today, they called to say, there is ONLY a $ 65 per person price-fixed menu! No exceptions. Too bad. We used to like this place, but not with its price gouging.

Although both my wife and myself were disappointed in our main courses we loved our evening at Avino’s. The restaurant is beautiful — set in an old farmhouse. You feel that you are far off in the country. We were greeted warmly by the hostess(owner?) who took the time to engage us as she escorted us to our table. Our waitress was perky and professional. Cheery all night she added to our experience. I started with the Pappardelle Bolognese which was exceptional — a real treat. Sorry to say the rest of our meal did not live up to the starter. Truth be told, we were sabotaged by our sauces. My wife ordered the lamb chops and they came swimming in a sweet brown sauce not mentioned on the menu. A not nice surprise if you don’t prefer sauce. My main was the stuffed shrimp which also came in a sauce. Problem was that it was much too intense for my taste — a very strong lemony sauce that overpowered everything else on the plate. Despite our problems, dinner was a 4 star experience. With a less heavy hand this could easily be a 5 star destination.

Great staff, consistent food, and everything is good from their main courses in the dining room to their wings and burgers in the bar area. Always a good time, nice and cozy in the winter and they have an outdoor space in the summer. Some items on the menu are a little pricey for what you get but the experience overall is certainly worth it.

Avino’s. Just alright for dinner, nothing making me want more. I suppose I’d check it out for brunch as per the other reviewers delight… We just weren’t crazy impressed with it to justify the cost, however I am still drawn to try it again, service was great that night so I’m going to bring my gf here so we can judge it a little better.

You can tell that there’s only one Chef, Bc the food is always consistent and delicious. My favorite is the Filet Mignon. My boyfriend’s is the Pasta Bolognaise. Fresh Handmade pasta cooked al Dante. #nomnomnom x a million! Romantic décor, cute renovated country house by candle lit tables with real table cloth and napkins. My go to spot for anniversaries and holidays. But be aware some holidays they have a fixed menu that may be different from their everyday, ie. Valentine’s Day.

Great ambience, friendly staff & delicious food. Felt like I was right in nonna’s house. Portion size was on the small side for the price and the dessert menu was a bit pricey, $ 8 for everything(root beer float included). Parking lot is tight but fine. They also have beautiful outdoor seating

We went there last night for their prefix Thanksgiving menu with a party of 12. The ambience was homey. We sat in a room with a fireplace that was nice and cozy. The meal consisted of 4 courses. salad, appetize, entrée and dessert. I had the autumn salad, raw clams, the entrée: Turkey with gravy, sweet potato pie, mashed potatoes, string beans with carrots and cranberry sauce. all very delicious. second helpings were encouraged. for dessert pumpkin pie. The food was very good, I can’t wait to come back to try what they are known for the«Italian» food. Our server Greg was very attentive and did an exceptional job.

This restaurant is always packed! Had a very lovely brunch with a refreshing mimosa. Eggs Benedict was very tasty. One of the only places in Bellport village to have brunch. Quaint cozy décor and the staff is attentive and super friendly.

Love the atmosphere and food at Avino’s! have only been for brunch and lunch, never dinner but food has always been excellent. The upstairs private room is perfect for small intimate parties such as small bridal or baby showers. The eggs benedict is amazing. Fish sandwich, crab cakes and stuffed mushrooms are to die for. I would go back a million times just for those mushrooms. Our waitress is usually the same young woman and she is super friendly. Service during lunch tends to be slow which sometimes I don’t understand because the past two times I went for lunch myself and my guest were the only table taken. But everything else makes up for that. Love that this gem is in my hometown!

I’ll preface this review by stating that the party I went here with knew the owner(s), which was reflective of the serious royal treatment we received. We stumbled in here(some of us, literally) on a Saturday night around 9:00 — 9:30. You could tell they were ready to close, or at least wanted to close, since we were the only table in the place. Somebody called ahead and told them 7 of us would be coming in so I think they stayed open just for us. Pretty exclusive! Either way, it worked out to our server’s benefit since we racked up a $ 300 tab. Our server(I forget her name) was very friendly and made solid recommendations, including the striped bass special over spinach risotto, which I ordered as my entrée. We started with baked stuff clams, which I wasn’t able to try because everyone else devoured them before I could. We also got an order of baked Blue Point oysters, which must have been a special because I can’t find them on the menu as of this review. These were among the best baked oysters I’ve ever had … on par with Oysters Rockefeller in New Orleans. The portion on the striped bass was insanely generous and very obviously a local catch. Too fresh not to be. I ended up taking half of it to go. Not knowing whether our group was going to keep the party going after dinner, I ordered a cup of coffee. Really enjoyable, but I forgot to ask our server for the brand so I went as far as to call the restaurant the following day just to find out. Douwe Egbert’s. Look that up if you like a nutty taste.

I came here for a party and were seated upstairs in the private room. Despite being upstairs, the service was still excellent! I had the crab cakes appetizer and the linguine with clams for my entrée. Both dishes were superb! The place has a nice comfortable patio and a small welcoming bar. It was a great experience, and I look forward to my next visit.

We went to Avino for lunch during the week. The food was delicious, but we had to wait forever to place our order and to receive our food. I had the fish tacos and they were awesome. My partner had the Avino stuffing and he totally enjoyed it. Great food. Long wait for service. We sat outside and it was delightful.

Small restaurant with amazing food. I would go back in a heart beat; this is about as good as Italian food gets. Make sure you try the canolis! Overall it is a bit pricey but worth it.

The ambiance was really nice and the hostess was sweet. definitely quaint space. I had dinner with two of my friends and we all had different menus which was weird. Even stranger a lot of the things were the same-just worded differently. Got the wedge salad which was really good-the onions on top were tasty — I wish the salad dressing was a little creamier. Dinner was the shrimp with angel hair. It was yummy-I would order it again but there was nothing dazzling about it. Just a good hearty dish. My friend ordered the chicken melissa which she sent back –i didn’t taste it but it did not look appetizing at all. Overall good experience but nothing spectacular and underwhelming menu.

Against the not-so-great Unilocal reviews, we decided to try out Avino’s. Should have listened to Unilocal.ALWAYSLISTENTO Unilocal! We made reservations although we probably did not need them during the week. The atmosphere and overall décor is cute for being inside an old little house. For an appetizer we split the Calamari Frito. I wasn’t impressed. To me, calamari is such a standard at all restaurants now and to have it come out rubbery is just such an amateur mistake. For our entrées, I had: Orrechette with Sausage. Again, not impressed. The compilation of this dish was something I could have thrown together at home. He had: a seared Tuna over risotto with olives and artichokes which I do not see on my menu to know the correct name. When he ordered this, the waitress prefaced that this is served raw; which was perfect because that’s what he wanted. So then why did it come seared almost 1⁄3 the way to the center? To me, again an amateur mistake is over searing a RAW tuna. Just ruins the protein. Any way you put it, we weren’t impressed with any of the food. Shame for such a cutie place.
