U-Haul Moving & Storage of Bellwood

Scheduled my truck way ahead for an out-​of-​state one way move. Somehow things got fouled up and my early morning pickup was set for 4 p.m. I had even spoken to a dispatcher the day before to get it straightened out, but it was still wrong and when I got there at 8:30 a.m., my truck was out and not due back till 11:30.
The manager (didn’t catch his name, but his hand was heavily bandaged) called around, found me another truck, drove somewhere and picked it up and had it back and ready to go by 9:30! Jason, the guy at the desk, had it checked in and me checked out in about 5 minutes and we were on the road! These guys really went the extra mile for me and everything else went smoothly from there on. Thanks U-​Haul!

Although Ilene was polite and courteous, the customer service sure lacked.
I spent from 11 am (my appointment) till 330 waiting on a hitch install that I was told would take 1.5 hours.
I had to leave the car and return to pick it up at 6 p.m. due to work schedule. This caused me to need someone to pick me up and drive me.
I was given a discount but if I had known what was going to happen I would have left immediately.
When i picked up the car and took it home I noticed a rattle they forgot to attach my tail pipe!
I head back the next day and believe it or not waited 45 minutes for the manager to move her car out of the bay that was needed to work on my car.
She could not give the keys to an employee ! She couldn’t move it herself?
I had to basically park in the way of returning trucks for her to finally get out and move her car so her employee could finish his job. What a joke!
I’m not laughing. It then took another hour or more for the job to be corrected and I could go on my way.
Together this hitch cost me 8 hours of my time and another person to shuttle me around disturbing their day.
Be smart take your car to another place if you need a hitch. Sub Trailer in Villa Park is close and I hear they do great work.
